Would be a useful app but...

Links within articles don’t open. There are lots of excellent daily articles. However, what should be informative content is hindered by links that do not open (in particular, the what you need to know about coronavirus one)

CDC

CDC is a good information source for knowledge and prevention diseases and conditions which may concern society, especially in these times. CDC is easy to navigate by way of the side pane which takes the user to any section they want. Users can filter their information feed by way if what they want to see. CDC can be a bit sluggish when going back and forth but the issues are few and far between.

Informational App

The this app app provides great factual information that can be used by anyone. It provides relevant information for what is currently happening through out the world. One thing that I wish was more up to date would be their statistics. There has been great changes in health the last few years so more recent statistics could better inform our society.

By

Very informative

I think CDC is very informative and has lots of critical information needed that you can’t find anywhere else. It is a reliable source that can be used safely and will not contain false information.

The CDC has failed humanity.

The this app has become a highly politicized agency that has disregarded hundreds and hundreds of superb quality studies pertaining to early outpatient treatment for Covid-19.

The this app, as well as other prominent agencies, have actively suppressed a treasure trove of Covid-19 early treatment preprints that are waiting to be peer reviewed. This is an extraordinary, and unprecedented, situation. They have allocated limitless effort to make sure these studies never see the light of day.

We need to start asking ourselves the following question:

“Why are these extremely high quality studies, which were conducted by many of the world’s leading scientists and medical doctors, being suppressed rather than put through the peer review process?”

Texas Resident

I have found CDC to be very unhelpful. The information can be found on any TV station or radio station with more accuracy. When you list the accounts of diseases, numbers and locations of spread the coral coronavirus 19 is not even listed.
I find this ridiculous and I suspect Politics is playing a role. If you don’t report accurately the amount of infection rate it makes the federal government look better in their failed response to this crisis.

The update fixed it

Just so everyone knows, the recent update fixed the problem where the links weren’t working!

By

Works great!

I had no problem with any of the links. It pulled up the most current information available the same as on the this app website.

By

Great App

I think that CDC is truly informative, especially for public health, or any related health major. It can be used after school, and can help retrieve reliable statistics!

By

Amazing

You can find anything you want here from Ebola to Covid19. The only down side is that I am young and find it somewhat hard to use. But it’s easy to learn after a while. Thank you this app!!!!

By

Thanks for correcting mistakes

Acts like an app now. This should’ve been done before. That way CDC can be used for future contact tracing software. Hope they can get it ready for that.

By

Decent but lacks few things

I would include communication channel for submitting feedback, including image upload.

By

Thank you

Thank you for putting CDC together to make it easy to find information quickly

By

Terrible to Navigate

Looking for something specific that isn’t on the first page of CDC? Forget it. You’ll find it faster online. Didn’t believe me and actually found the first thing you wanted... then try to navigate back so you can look for the second. CDC is hard to use. The online website is better.

By

Just a dump of information without prioritization

You think that this app would put contact tracing apps and tools where it would be easy to find them. I am looking at all kind of data that would be helpful if I were doing a science project. I am looking for a contact tracing app in my state and I can’t find it. What the hell?

By

Fixed the issue

You all have fixed the oorning of CDC . Thanks

By

Works so far

Downloaded because we are In desperation of seeking sane, truthful, factual advice. This is CRAZY! In Cali and been stuck in the house for six
Days so far. Praying for all those infected and families of loved ones that have passed away🙏🏾

By

Pretty good

Pretty simple to use and had information on a variety of topics. Allows you to look at national and global data about diseases.

By

No option to open PDF on other apps

Although CDC provides the option to view PDF versions of articles, it locks in the PDF to CDC only removing the option to share the PDF with other apps.

By

Woulda,shoulda,coulda

Has potential, yet 2-3 days out of date. And do you Really think attaching the words “the White House “ to this app’s program/app is smart or necessary? You splatter your self by standing so close.

This Is a Joke, Right?!

What the hell? None of the links within CDC work. Not one of them. Is this a joke? When people would be most interested in the possibility of a pandemic, and they want to closely monitor what is happening across the globe with this Corona crap, the this app app doesn’t work? REALLY?! Absolute garbage. TMZ would be a better source of information. Seriously, I recommend you fire your app testing folks because they clearly have failed. You had one job, Bob ... ONE JOB!

Love CDC but the app needs fixing

CDC helps a lot, it is usually full of information and platform friendly. It is sometimes outdated but accurate. Good app but serious UI problems.

By

Great app but completely broken for now

Really liked CDC for news and guidance, but since I’ve come back to using it often for corona virus information, no links will open in articles. Please address this if possible. I would love to use it again. Thanks!

Too buggy

Being an Exercise Science major I was excited about CDC, but after being on it for less than 2 minutes it’s too buggy to navigate well. Needs quality functional upgrades.

By

A Great Start...

Not bad at all... I did not have the problems the initial reviewers wrote about. CDC downloaded quickly and ran perfectly – showing the freshly loaded content within a second or two. The display and interface is user friendly and - overall – I do like CDC . I hope future updates will allow access to the past articles, instead of just current ones. With the access to past items they will need to include a search function. Also, other content is currently limited – the image library (at the time I wrote this) only has access to about 30 images, and CDC does not let you search for more. Currently, there is no method of looking for any specific type of image content; you simply have to scan through them one at a time. Of course, with only 30 pictures, this isn’t a problem… yet. One final observation; I initially thought CDC did not have any access that linked it to the full this app site. This is (thankfully) not the case. On the home screen of CDC , tap on the this app logo. (There is no indication or instruction that mentions this in CDC , and – honestly – it just looks like they put the logo at the top of the screen… It is however, a functional link.)

By

poor

Updates NOT. Very slow, links often times don’t open. Better information through google.

By

Links don’t work

Since the latest update, the functionality of CDC has degraded. Links don’t work, necessitating rerouting to the website. There is really no advantage to using my iPhone’s memory for CDC.

By

Great app

Why does it have a low rating?

By

Knowledge is power

But you can’t be knowledgeable if the information is not available. CDC should be helpful not frustrating especially now.

By

Help

Where do u go to make comments that the this app will actually see.
CDC isn’t working

By

Does not work!

You click on links. They don't open!

By

Basically trash

Really hopeful this would be a useful app. Sadly, it is not.

By

Nope

It’s true
Links don’t open.

Not Prepared for Release

As a public health pro with 30+ years in the field, I want to like CDC. However, at the moment all that happens is spinning of the download icon, followed by " Unable to download all of the latest content. Check your internet connection."
Well , I'm on a wired connection and all else works so it must be their app and/or server.
this app, be better prepared before next release.

Great aggregation of information!

I especially like the amount of syndicated content aggregated within CDC. Really shows off the power of Content Syndication - write once, deploy anywhere (everywhere?)!
