All the text in DakarRally is to light in color make it hard to read

Great app now that it’s working. Developer was kind enough to respond to my initial review and let me know everything was fixed. App works well and it’s easy to find all the info I need. Very pleased to be able to use DakarRally again!

If DakarRally runs as smooth as last year with video and updates it should be great.

If it works (not today) the first thing you are confronted with is a giant advertisement which you have to close. The UI is terrible and unpredictable. There doesn’t seem to be any real journalism in DakarRally . Just a jumbled mess.

Please make a full screen map

Great amount of info but doesn't prioritize the race, and what's happening or happened! There should be a 'breaking news' or 'latest developments' section to easily get to the important stuff without having to wade through masses of other info trying to find out what's happening in the race, like why driverX who was 2nd yesterday is now out the top 10??

Why no stage summaries for each completes stage?? So we can see what main things happened in that stage??!!

I appreciate all the details that might be available if perhaps they were intuitive or had any memory to them from screen to screen.
I faithfully watch the Dakar each new year hoping that this year might be the one the mobile app is decent and I can actually watch or easily follow the race.
There are so many renaming and sub groups it’s just generally terrible to decipher.

Please keep me as a fan by doing better next year!

This is my third dakar with DakarRally and it has some definite draw backs this time around more than other years. Over all standings are not updated. News is not updated. interviews are posted but only with photos (not names) that are difficult to recognize, especially since I only see the competitors 15 days a year and only a few are on that every day.

The commercial screen comes at random while you are reading something then you can’t close it because there is no button for it. Poorly organized. Don’t why is so hard to present simple information on the up. The Dakar rally has been going for many years and DakarRally is worse and worse every year instead of improving it. Bad pictures, no informara out the different teams, the cars.

DakarRally worked flawlessly for me during the 2012 Dakar so I am very excited to see it back for 2013. All the essentials are there. Invaluable for following a race like this. Coupled with local radio coverage you're all set. Superb design, really good work from ASO (think TdF next?).

App does not support landscape mode or dynamic text, which means you are locked into a portrait display of tiny text when reading articles (which have few or no pics). You are probably better off using the Dakar website for better readability.
DakarRally is potentially useful for the push notifications, though.

Hours after completion of the first stage, and DakarRally continues to provide only stats from the previous year's rally.
Absolutely useless.
All the videos are the same 8-second map overview.
The "news" was last updated 4 days prior to the race.
The first stage race results are from 2011!
Only the maps and the forums link seems to work well, and everyone on the forums are in an uproar over how outrageous it is to actually pay for DakarRally and get only frustration while the race is on.

I can see these problems leading up to the race, but day one is over. Come on folks, fix your app that you charge for!
I want my money back.

As others said the information is out of date by a year worst case and four days best case.

Update - DakarRally is now displaying current information after an update or two. Probably worth the price, but I've gotten used to using the website while DakarRally wasn't working and find that more current and as easy to use.

DakarRally should be removed from the store. Download at your peril. It locked up my phone and Apple could not fix it without a complete reset - yes, go back to factory resetting. It should go without saying that it the trouble is not worth it!! I am extremely unhappy considering they claim to have fixed the bugs in last years.

I think Dakar, ASO, & FIA need to learn about social media. DakarRally was always behind in updates. Easier to go to web page, unless you live in the US. All you got was a summary of bikes and cars. Very disappointing. Wasn't worth the money. It was a total waste. With a rally so big, it is sad to see an app this weak, and social media so weak.

I have an iPhone 5s with up to date iOS.
When I try to view the videos on DakarRally, there's no sound. If I leave DakarRally ...then I can watch the video and hear sound. Hopping this can be fixed by the 3rd.

DakarRally is fantastic this year. Great coverage and the summarized videos are great. Thank you for working hard to provide this coverage!

Feature Requests:

1) Help section
2) Ability to add driver to favorites from driver page or general rank list. Takes too long to search for each driver individually.
3) Link related news articles to driver page
4) Ability to search news
5) Use a long or hard press to bring up contextual menu for driver list to add driver to favorites or view news about that driver.
6) more video content

The news articles are out of order. Whenever I want to look at the standings or an article, too much screen is taken up by other crap. Hard to tell when/if anything is updated.

Love it ! Much improved over 2011 app.
