Not right fit for me. Want to get money back as soon as I tried to setup

Stay with the free version!

App seems fine but paid version really doesn't offer anything more than what the free version offers. It also doesn't scale the workouts according to your current ability. Just beginner, intermediate and advance - it's all the same, whether you are a beginner who can do 1 push-up or 10 push-ups at the start. It illustrates fairly aggressive progressions. Definitely look for the alternative, regressed push-up styles - the incline is most regressed but no tips on incline options.

Each week only 3 days

Only goes 3 days per week not veru helpful is your goal is 4 or more days a week of push ups

Good app

Finished complete program/ got ripped
Quit exercising / gained 25 lbs.
on week 4. Round 2. Weight is dropping off again. App is a great guide but there is only a 30 second warm up. They should add a longer warm up and some good pre-stretches as an option. Doing a workout as intense as this about week 4 you can hurt yourself if you do it cold. Warm up inadequate is why I gave 4 stars.

Good app for beginners

If you're wanting to get yourself into better shape, I highly recommend that you consider using PushupsCoachPro. It's easy to use and has some enjoyable features, such as playing music, timing the rests between sets, showing how many calories you've burned, etc. You can share your results with Twitter and FaceBook, if desired.

PushupsCoachPro seems to be set to think you'll only do push-ups 3 times per week. I actually like to do the five, but I don't see how to adjust this. If it exists, PushupsCoachPro maker didn't make it very obvious. ;-)

Over all, it's a great app, but it does tend to push a bit too fast. I've had to jump back a bit till my system was ready to move onward.

Like it but...

PushupsCoachPro has got a lot going for it but I did not give it a 5 because of 2 reasons. 1- I don't feel it gives enough flexibility for someone with intermediate skills. I can do 50-60 push-ups at once so week 1/3 is too easy but weeks 4/5 are too hard because I skipped the first 3 weeks and did not build up the stamina to do 7 sets. 2nd reason is the fonts are way too small for the number of reps, wearing readers while working out kind of a pain. Ok 3 reasons- time to do reps is off. 45-90 secs for 15 reps is too much and although you can change it, it's time consuming. PushupsCoachPro should give you 1-1.5 secs per push-up,that would be more realistic. Fix those 3 and it's a 5 in my book.

Good motivation!

PushupsCoachPro is solid and guides you through a 7-week training schedule to do eventually do 100 pushups. The developer is very responsive. PushupsCoachPro plots your progress in some basic ways. Not many bells and whistles in PushupsCoachPro , and sync/backup is a little complicated… but hey, it gets you doing pushups, and that’s a very good thing! Overall nice and simple. Sits on my home screen.

Good app

I find it very useful and it is great with both it's reminders and just the general fact it takes a lot of the guess work out but PushupsCoachPro is a little bit bare and not quite surfers worth five stars. It's a very good app just not amazing but it gets the job done. Using it on iPad, would be nice if there was an enhanced version but I'm not complaining.

Helps

I have done the program now twice and my max is about 65 push-ups. I started from 20. That should give a more realistic understanding of how quickly you can progress. Although I do understand some people probably will be able to progress faster.

Simple and effective

Great for increasing how many push-ups you can do and once you hit the 100 mark it allows you to change the set amount to do so you can double that and keep improving. Love the interface and its simplicity makes this and the other fitness apps by this developer (sit ups, squats, and pull-ups) my favorite work out apps on my phone

Make it more accurate

I will give it five stars for now but it doesn't tell me which push ups I should start with nor does it give me an introduction how what's the plan and how does it work Etc I know I am asking for a lot but after all it is called pushup coach!! (New update woot!!)

Update on my progress!

I am 4 Weeks in and my arms are looking great, i started doing only ten and I am able to do much more! PushupsCoachPro is simple but it helps keep track of everything. Would be great if they added Von voice counter!

Best app on my phone!

First time I've reviewed any app, but this one is beautiful. Don't know what else you could want for a push up app. Got me to 100 pushups as of today! Great job, developers!

Awesome program!

It's like having a personal coach. Love the timer to let you know how long to rest and how much time to complete a pushup set. First two weeks of the advanced workout started fairly easy for a fit guy as myself, but week 5 and 6 was a real challenge, but it sure was a good challenge that boosted results. My upper body strength has never been this good. Love the bar chart showing the progress. Wish they keep adding more beyond the advanced level to help me keep going, otherwise, I'm just going to repeat the advanced to maintain. Overall, this is an awesome program. I wish there were others like this for other workouts, like for abs. :)
