Useless for me

Understood that streamed songs (not purchased) have limited ability to edit, save, and export, BUT believed from false advertising I could edit, rename, create playlists, export, and share for my own use music from my purchased CDs with my I pad iOS library. This is not true. In addition the developers now want to sell me an export addition for another $5. Their response to another reviewer with a similar complaint was too bad “You should have tried the free version first”. AnytuneProStudioTools does none of the claimed actions I needed and is in every way inferior to the free Audacity PC app. I understand the problem Apple product users have with the ridiculous restrictions imposed and inability to handle files, but app developers can at least not miss represent their product.

Nearly Perfect App.

First time writing a review on here. I don’t know if the developers read the reviews but I’ve been using AnytuneProStudioTools for 2-3 years now and I think it has a great UI and it’s easy to maneuver AnytuneProStudioTools . The skins are a great touch too! (proper black/dark skin mode soon?)

However, if there was a way to temporarily reverse a song that would be a game changer personally. Also, if there was an option for when you change the pitch the speed adjusts accordingly so that there aren’t weird sound artifacts in whatever you’re playing, that would be great too. I know this is a transposing app but I think a lot of users are singers/songwriters/artists including myself.

Nitpicking aside, AnytuneProStudioTools has almost given me no problems except for occasionally crashing and resetting certain data. This is personally a minor issue. I hope Anytune continues to evolve and becomes a powerhouse for musicians and songwriters! Thank you for creating this useful app.

Go all in and forget the others

I am a skilled and schooled musician and have taught scores of private students since 2005. I can go on and on about AnytuneProStudioTools but I will get to the point. Are you ready to purchase the ONLY phrase trainer you'll ever need? (Not to mention the only one you could ever want...) Alright. Go all-in.
Anytune Pro +
Get it. All the features. Done.
I maintain that many like myself might not even know their potential to transcribe music with 100% accuracy and total precision before spending time with AnytuneProStudioTools.
Rock guitarists: tab out a solo, note for note, that you may not have the chops to play quite yet... Start here.
Jazz pianists: You too. Finally grab onto that mysterious bebop scale and pattern. Take time to unlock that elusive harmonic that otherwise moves too quickly to figure out.
Bass players:... what the hell is Victor Wooten or Les Claypool doing? What is the deal with those sextuplet percussive ghost notes?
Can't play like Yngwie, or Victor..etc.? Me neither, frankly! But you'll be able to track-with and tab- out such phenoms, regardless; now thanks to Anytune.
You'll have a great start, ...a leg- up, even. I have been to all of these as a collective 'headspace' since getting Anytune Pro +, and what an amazing tool.
Musicians, teachers, performers, Lifelong lovers of a certain tonal (or atonal) persuasion-do yourself a solid. Purchase your new favorite sidekick... Anytune Pro +.
Then, get to work!

I love this app, worth every penny!

This is better than any music app for iPad I’ve ever used. It’s a little difficult to figure out what everything is (still cannot find the import feature for files in iCloud) but being a working musician, constantly having to pitch correct and transpose music, it truly is my lifesaver and it’s fast! I no longer have to bring a song into Audition, pitch correct it, export it, load it into iCloud get the file and text it, now it’s all done on the iPad. I’m only using one of the features I’m sure I could do plenty more with it! Worth every penny!

Still,using this app!

I'm still so happy... now for years! I own all the competing product. All good, but for my workflow, this is simply the best. I love the visual and the training control over speed and transposition is perfect. I will continue to use this and was very happy to pay... hope it is always updated to fit whatever the current IOS. I also use the version for mac/PC. Thanks to this I play better SAX, sing better, and would have never take up piano/keyboard if I hadn't had this tool! Using it as I end this review.

Excellent for Language Learning

I’ve been using this to help me with my Spanish comprehension. Love that I’m able to easily loop a phrase and listen until I can catch every word. I write what I hear and then compare it to a transcription. Often I find that I missed a word or got it completely wrong. Then I can go back and slow it down until I’m able to hear it correctly. After that, I leave it on loop and slowly increase the speed back to full (or a little faster). This is great!

One of my most important tools

As a wanna be jazz pianist who brings many years of playing and not a whole lot of progressing, this is one of my important tools. I use it to unlock and demystify what I’m hearing by through the ability to slow things down. Or speed them up. Or change the key. Or isolate phrases and repeat them. Or separate the instruments (ie when using Aebersold tracks).

I heard about it from om “You’ll Hear It” podcast, Peter Martin and Adam Mannedmesjsj, two jazz pianists who break things down jazz- wise and it’s a game changer.

This is the one, I promise you

I cannot tell you the number of discoveries I have made using AnytuneProStudioTools to slow down music. It’s astonishing how often “reliable” sources of song tutorials, videos, tabs and transcriptions actually get their interpretations wrong. AnytuneProStudioTools is like a musical microscope that allows you to dig deep and find that note you didn’t know you needed. Excellent looping tool allows you to mark a passage and repeat it at your chosen speed until you’ve nailed it. I’ve been using it for years, highly recommended.

The tool for learning new tunes

This is the best way to learn a new Irish tune on either fiddle, Irish tenor banjo, or tin whistle. It can be slowed to whatever speed you need until you get the melody in your head and your fingers, and you can repeat difficult phrases or slow them to get details. Then speed the whole thing up once you think you've got it so you can play along. And if you want to change the key because somebody recorded a tune in a key thar is difficult for you, you can adjust the pitch to whatever key you need. Perfect!

Worth Every Cent!

I don’t think you can find a better app. I use this exclusively to slow down Bass lines and I’ve copied tracks for my Organ player so he can transcribe music. I can easily raise or lower the semi-tone to whatever key he wants to play. It’s very helpful for people who like to arrange music as it gives them a major head start to fill in their creative ideas. I’m far from being in that position but AnytuneProStudioTools is a godsend, it would have been life changing 30 years ago….
but I’m thankful right now. Great app highly recommended!

Perfect for learning Tunes

I’ve used amazing slowdowner, transcribe, easytranscribe and many other hardware products from the nineties. The looping function here is very good and detailed. Easy to adjust loop points for in tempo practice. It does take a bit of a learning curve, but if you stick with it, you can organize sections quickly grouping them easily. The ability to isolate instruments in the mix to make them more prominent works very well. Not the simplest slowdown and looper program available, but if you invest the time it can be very quick and powerful. Highly recommended.

My Most Frequently Used App!

Love AnytuneProStudioTools! Can’t say enough great things about it. I use it to store all the songs I use for gigs. I use it to store gig set lists which contain the original songs and this helps
me keep things in order. The song mark feature allows me to quickly get to key points in the songs that I want to work on. I not only use this feature to quickly get to guitar parts but it works great for getting to key song points to help me memorize lyrics. The best thing of course is the ability to slow down music and really perfect lead parts. Also … speed up feature helps me tighten technique for when I slow the songs back down. The tune up or down feature is right up front and easy to use … very easy to change key on the program while practicing vs tuning the the guitar down an entire fret. Love it. The folks that invented this deserve a raise!

Warning - it doesn’t play downloaded music you don’t own

If you’re like me you have an iTunes account and download songs to listen to offline. Who buys them these days? Well, AnytuneProStudioTools cannot play those songs. So what good is it? I have some songs I own and I can use it for them, but that’s very limited. They represented that it could play music from my iTunes library. They don’t tell you ( at least not prominently where you notice it) it won’t play downloaded songs in your library that you haven’t purchased. $15 down the toilet.

LIMITATIONS SHOULD BE DISCLOSED IN PROMINENT LANGUAGE AND FONT THAT CAN’T BE MISSED.

Singers! This one's for you.

Singers, there are at least two good uses for this application. One is when you are trying to get the phrasing from a singer who strays from the beat in an appealing way. The other is for accents, at which I'm very good. I am currently trying to master the Carioca accent because I am singing bossa nova. Even just listening 1000 times got me compliments from Brazilians, but AnytuneProStudioTools, because it keeps pitch so well, revealed details instantly that I would never have heard. Bossa nova complicates things because the singers stray from the beat in an appealing way--but it also turns out they might not be. It could be just the accent. Great app.

First Timer

I've played guitar for 45 of my 66 years. When I started playing music, we learned a new song by playing a 45rpm record over and over with each band member trying to figure out his part. I just recently was shown the benefits of using AnytuneProStudioTools by our bass player. While I could use an old-school more detailed instruction manual to understand some of the capabilities of AnytuneProStudioTools, what I've learned to use is well worth the price of AnytuneProStudioTools . Namely, the slow-down and stay at pitch feature along with the capability to replay portions of or an entire song repeatedly has helped me learn intricate melodic lines much easier.

This is the slow down app I needed

I love AnytuneProStudioTools, it is a large part of my practice routine now to use it to loop and play along with jazz solos. I like the ease of rewinding by swiping the screen and the ability to accurately isolate parts with the EQ and the “reframe” functions. I had originally considered a standalone practice device like a Tascam but this allows much more manipulation of slow down speed and more intuitive touch screen abilities. On my iPad Pro it can be set to loop and while it keeps playing I can switch to the “Notion” app and read along or transcribe as it plays in the background.

AnyTune Pro+ Review

As a performing musician & singer I have been using AnyTune Pro+ for many years, for both rehearsing and performing. AnyTune Pro+ has proven to be an inexpensive, reliable, and relatively easy to use app. It is a very versatile, with virtually every feature I need, including on-line tutorials and technical support, if I am having an issue or simply don’t know how to do something (AND you don’t have to wait long for a response). I have added well over 600 songs and numerous set lists that I share with my band-mates, so we can save time by rehearsing separately at home and come to the studio prepared to rock & roll. AnyTune Pro+. Try it, you’ll like it!

I kid you not, this is the best app for musicians!

If you play any kind of music and need to: - slow down a song - speed up a song - play along slowly and then gradually bring up the speed to the actual song - transcribe a song or part of a song - tune the song up or down (E.g. to fit your vocal range) - play a part of a song over and over again in a loop for practice (such as a difficult solo) - bookmark various parts of a song and label each part for quickly jumping around - And a lot more! Then AnytuneProStudioTools is what you need! I love love love it. AnytuneProStudioTools is one of the major reasons why I bought the iPad and I am glad I did!

This is the BEST music study tool for transcribing

I learned to play long ago with a record player that had a 16-speed setting to slow things down. They were dropped an octave, but it worked. Through the years various technologies have become available to do the same thing without dropping the pitch (unless you want to). This application is the best. It has so many useful features, and by putting my music in iTunes on my iPad and using Anytune Pro+, I have a lifetime of study material in my hands. I can't say enough about how useful this application is. Being able to move around the waveform view of the song by sliding your finger on the screen is such an easy way to move through a tune and work on specific parts. The EQ features allow you to bring out subtle parts and hard to distinguish notes. There are so many tools included. Get it!

Wow

This review is a tad premature, but the features are insane. The only caveat is that, as always, power means complexity and less discoverability. I am used to being able to figure apps out without any instructions, but I quickly decided to seek out the documentation, which is excellent so far. AnytuneProStudioTools is somewhat difficult to use on my iPhone 5s because so much is crammed onto the screen. The reframe feature is so cool. I was able to instantly figure out how to remove or isolate the lead vocals. It’s never been so easy to tell what’s going on with the vocal harmonies.
