I have to use this per my contract maintaining 7 social media accounts for an auto company and I’m constantly getting errors and having things not save or my manager not getting requests for approval. It’s like 1/4 of the time these things happen, which is pretty ridiculous, and I never change the method in which I do things, so it’s not user error. They’ve already done an update based on a complaint I had months ago. Since then, I always check for an update but most of the time, there is no update when these things happen. It’s making my job way harder than it should be and I look like a flake or complainer when I’m neither. Fix this thing, please.

Nothing really works great on Mobile. If a message gets rejected and you try to reschedule, it’s says it’s schedule but it’s not. Does not work. WARNING: posting Instagram post via mobile app, post them directly into your channels without approval even if you have approval in the workflow. It does not work at all. So far the mobile experience has been nothing short of a disappointment

Instagram publishing may be limited with video but the reminder notifications for posting them is far too limited. I’d like a suite of reminders. I’d like to set it as a bonafide alarm, send me a text and then give me a call if I’m 15 minutes late. Of course I’d like to be in control of them but this needs to be more robust. It’s really hard to remember to post at random times of the day. And my notifications sometimes don’t make themself apparent and go unnoticed. So I have to set additional alarms in my calendar to make it work.
In my settings I set it to not go away unless I address the notification and that did not work.

For months, I was unable to post from SproutSocial . Contacted customer support and would receive email responses in the middle of the night.
When I would call, the rep would never be available and never returned my phone calls. Then, I would get emails telling me the issue had been resolved and the ticket closed. Spending $100 a month and not being able to resolve a posting issue is unacceptable since the sole use of SproutSocial to be able to post across multiple accounts.

This service is so annoying. As a social media marketer, I want to schedule posts and post things quickly. With all of SproutSocial and web failures that Sprout Social has, it makes it very hard to do my job. I keep using this service because there’s really nothing else like it at this time but they REALLY need to get the kinks figured out. I spend 15 minutes trying to post something from their app to only give up and airdrop it to myself...

I love Sprout, I do. I’ve been using it for about 5 years and it’s a powerful tool. SproutSocial works great with an older iPhone, but if you’re using SproutSocial with an iPhone X, expect the keyboard to cover the area where you would be able to type a response. It doesn’t happen all the time but when it does it’s really frustrating.
I also wanted to share a Customer Care experience. Usually Sprout’s CC is amazing but we had a really weird experience yesterday. We had to reset our password like 5 times to be able to login (again, specific to SproutSocial ). I don’t know exactly what happened but the agent who was helping us continued to say there was nothing he could do to help, and that we were typing the password incorrectly.
There is nothing more patronizing and frustrating to receive CC that assumes you and your 4 different employees with phones are all typing the password incorrectly when the login/pass worked all all of our MacBooks. When we pushed to log a bug, the agent said “there isn’t a history of these complaints so there was nothing I could do.”
After like 5 app uninstalls/reinstalls with all of us logged out, we finally got back into our account. I just wish that this agent would have tried to listen rather than assume we are all a bunch of idiots. Nothing worse than: “did you try to turn it off and back on again” when your whole team works in IT/tech.

**Update: the link preview issue was solved by removing and reconnecting Google+. Apparently that is the metadata scraper Sprout needs for Facebook and LinkedIn.
Overall this is a good app tied to a great social management platform, but for some reason I can't effectively share link posts to Facebook pages from SproutSocial . No link preview shows in the Sprout app and the resulting post just contains a link. I think there's a compatibility issue with another setting or app on my phone but can't figure it out and neither can Sprout support. Maybe app devs here can.

3 stars might be too much but you need to step up your game. In this day and age and the industry we’re in, you can’t have more functionality on desktop than SproutSocial and these many hiccups on SproutSocial when trying to schedule and make changes to the content calendar. We have to be mobile and have ease of use on SproutSocial and right now there isn’t as much usability as on desktop and trust that it will do what it needs to.

I love Sprout on desktop for scheduling, listening, and reports but the mobile app always has some glitch whether it’s the smart inbox not pulling in comments, the scheduler not allowing saves with edits even though nothing is exceeding characters or photo hasn’t changed so everything is within requirements, so I basically can’t edit posts on mobile which should be a key feature. Frustrated enough that the two things I need most for the mobile app don’t work so will likely be deleting.

SproutSocial is great for a lot of different things! I would recommend it but you can’t crop from SproutSocial on your phone. It’s annoying to have too go back and forth between your photos and SproutSocial . The other thing is you can’t really edit through SproutSocial like you can on instagram.

The recent update introduced a new bug that won’t allow me to reply to Facebook private messages in SproutSocial . Quite frustrating.
Would love a way to also use the limit region features for LinkedIn and Facebook scheduling, and to be able to modify link thumbnails.

I like Sprout Social. The only downfall is that you cannot schedule multiple picture or video post on Instagram. This is an inconvenience for our company.

Pretty functional app that lets me do most of what i expect to be able to do from a phone. however, notifications on the red badge will not go away and i have no idea what they’re for haha

Sprout is by far the best social media scheduling platform I have used. Their integrations are really easy to set up and use. There is robust reporting and a lot of other APIs you can plug-in. For the price this is definitely the best tool on the market I have ever used.

You’ll spend more time trying to figure out how to see your numbers because you NEED a laptop to see them. The mobile version only centralizes everything but doesn’t show what the traffic of your social media is. Trash App that requires a laptop for the full experience. Don’t get!

I can’t stand unread notifications. I have all notifications turned off for SproutSocial except for sending Instagram posts and yet it continually tells me i have 2 unread notifications! MAKE IT STOP.
