Dictionary Translator Reviews

I purchased original dictionaries in multiple languages and paid for upgrades on each. Latest update replaces all individual dictionaries with one multilingual dictionary. Unfortunately, it didn’t recognize previous upgrades and now wants a lot of money for yearly upgrades or a lifetime upgrade of almost $50. Additionally, upgrade on iPad doesn’t carry over to iPhone. Contacted developer/support who said to simply hit restore. When I wrote that that didn’t work I never received a further response. While the dictionary itself is quite good, the lack of upgrade carryover between devices, particularly at what they charge, and the lack of support to a long-standing loyal customer account for the low rating. Buyer BEWARE.

I wish you would put the gender article in both the English part of the dictionary with the French translation as well as the French word itself. As it is now, I always have to go look it up in the French after I’ve been given the French translation for an English word. It takes much longer to look up each word.

I truly love my French-English Dictionary. Something funny happened to me yesterday. For the first time I pushed the Speaker Button and I had no idea that the button was for me to hear the correct pronunciation. And I’ve had my Dictionary for at least two years. So now I always push the Speaker. I’ve been speaking French for 54 years but for 99.9% of that time I have no one to converse with. But I keep my Bible on my phone in the French Language and always read the chapters out loud to keep practicing.

I really do love DictionaryTranslator, but recently it has started glitching. It freezes and then I restart it and it is still frozen and then it sort of reboots. My only other complaint is that sometimes when you search up a word it either will give you the formal version of it or the informal. Not both. I wish there could be an expansion to this level of description as it would make it easier to move forward with learning. So please add a feature to show both versions clearly and it would be so great. PS: I always have the latest version so I’m not sure what is causing the glitching.

I love how there is audio to help you pronounce in both languages. There are synonymous to help you understand. They give you sentence examples. It's very wonderful app!

App is not good at translating at sentences but good at individual specific words. I understand because korean has many homonyms.

I have just downloaded and after just search one word , immediately I came here to right a comment about how much this application is awesome I hope it will be remain stay and do not make it bad 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

I cannot recommend DictionaryTranslator enough. DictionaryTranslator has been very helpful on my learning journey and the example sentences are quite useful as well. The ads aren’t annoying either and DictionaryTranslator is very simple to use. I don’t plan on deleting DictionaryTranslator anytime soon.

This apt is very easy to use for both a dictionary and to do translations. It also preserves a history of words you look up and can study!

Every time I use DICCIONARO for the first time on a day, it tells me there’s a version update, but I’m on the latest version. Maybe that could be fixed.

This a wonderful app english to chinese; vice versa. I use it all the times on the daily basis. Sofar I haven’t found any other app better than this one serve this purpose.

DictionaryTranslator is easy to follow and have clear meaning of each vocabulary. It comes with good examples of how to adapt in a sentence. You can also book mark vocabularies that you would like to review.

The search is really quick.
Meaning of the words might now be very accurate, but still gives perfect idea.
The given English explanation is great to understand the word.

Phenomenal dictionary, enjoying it a lot My feedback is to make the speech button bigger, or have the speech button increase in size when the font is increased (when I increased font it stayed the same size) This is because, regularly I will press the button 3 or 4 times and I can’t get it to activate (even while I’m looking and aiming right at the button!) If the speech button was bigger, I think I could have near 100% success, and that would be great Thank you for your work! Edit: More commonly, I press once and miss it, then look at it and press it again, making sure I get it Lastly, it would be great to be able to swipe to the right to go back. I have a book in my hand and balancing my phone so that I can reach up to the top left corner of my phone to go back seems very unnecessary after a few times. With a swipe to go back feature, it’d be as seamless and user friendly as Instagram Edit2: Wow, I can swipe to go back!

I was using a “Save function” a lot before you upgrade DictionaryTranslator. I would like that function again because it was easy to find words when I want to review!

This is my first review that I did write for application. I always get nervous to write my english comment on something like this bcuz I feel I’m not well in English but this time give it a try . This application made me feel I need to do something to say thank you and brave to be out of comfort zone and made this . This application is easy to be used for the beginner and get multifunctional for using in many diverse way like pronunciation, example and part of speech of the words. Really feel enjoyed to have this to learn . Big thank for you guys again

DictionaryTranslator is easy to use and well organized. The audio pronunciation is very convenient, and the numerous sample phrases accompanying each translation are like a free lesson in usage with every word you look up. It is nice not to have to first select English or German before entering a word, as with some other apps.

This is an underrated tool that one can use to learn a language. This is especially true if you know a lot of the basics of a language, but you’re having a difficult time achieving a conversational command of it. DictionaryTranslator will help to fill in those gaps of knowledge one may have.

I've tried using many online dictionaries for Indonesian/English and Everytime I end up coming back to DictionaryTranslator because they have multiple translations for the words and examples in sentences and it keeps a history of the words you look up. Highly recommend!!!

I have a been using DictionaryTranslator, but recently the picture transliteration does not work well. Two other comments: 1. I have to change the language pair setting every time, can it memorize the choice? 2. The signs/buttons for operation are not clear in some situations.

I‘ve used DictionaryTranslator for years with japanese, vietnamese, and german. The german and japanese dictionaries are stellar, and I’ve never had a problem with them. The vietnamese dictionary is a bit messy when searching for anything with many diacritics (like cắn), but this is easily my favorite mobile vietnamese dictionary. I’ve recommended this to people multiple times, and it’s earned a good review from me!

This is another English app I used quite often. As far as I remember it has nearly no ads!
The functionality is quite complete and DictionaryTranslator is solid and stable.
I hope there more features than just the plain definitions
The UI is overall fine but can be a little more modern too!
Other dictionaries usually bear too many ads even hard to use nowadays

I wish I had had an app like this when I was in Korea. There are often sample sentences, and those help tremendously. When I listen to the audio it sounds to me like a native Korean. That is even if I put in a phrase that I found on the website somewhere. I’m amazed at the usefulness of DictionaryTranslator!
