Ah yes a very straight forward news app that in it simplicity lulls the reader into thinking this is all very unbiased. Nothing could be further from the truth, most stories come direct from the NYT, New York Times.

This was a decent site but now they pull articles that dead end on subscription sites & most annoying is the ton of pop up ads that they will remove for a fee

After being a loyal user of NewsFlash for over FIVE years I’m officially deleting it. The developers pulled one of the lowest, most disgusting moves I think I’ve ever seen in. You may no longer manipulate videos (pause, FF, RW, see length) because they’ve so gracefully placed a mini rectangular unremovable ad box across the bottom of the screen. It’s beyond annoying and the only way to remove it is to dish out money for news you can literally get for free anywhere else, with just a click. To the developers: You guys are the literal definition of dirtbags. Enjoy your downfall.

Why not? Push notifications will differentiate NewsFlash above all similar apps like News360, Feedly. It will replace my Breaking News app by Vijay Anand.

I like NewsFlash but.... why on earth are there no push notifications?? Please let us customize push notifications from custom sources and I'll happily pay for it.

All of a sudden there is a plethora of CBS news dumped into the feed and it’s from months ago. You need to fix this glitch. You aren’t a great newsfeed, but you’re succinct and usually have varied news sources listed. Get it together, guys.

Often click headlines only to find the body of the article belongs to another unrelated headline. Headlines lead to nonexistent articles. Your editing leaves a lot to be desired.

Cannot get the “Delete Cookies Every Session” to set. Used to in the past.

Better than most and a almost good replacement for the now gone BreakingNews app. But I have to keep changing my settings every time I use it. When I close NewsFlash the settings keep changing back to the default.

This is a great replacement for Breaking News, but there’s no way to filter for spoilers (sports, entertainment, etc). 5 stars if they sort this out.

So your app is awesome in terms of simple design and usability! My beef with you guys is that when I leave your app my place is lost and I'm brought back to the main feed. As you can imagine this is quite annoying after going deep into a category and then having to go find it again. I want to promote you to my iPhone wielding friends. Can you let me know on twitter (@Chris_NWA) about the road map to fix this? Thanks

I really like NewsFlash but it gets annoying with all the broken CNN and NY Daily links. Fix these and 5 stars!

Just downloaded NewsFlash as a replacement to the discontinued Breaking News app that I really loved. NewsFlash displays the title and the first few sentences of the larger article that you can read after clicking the link. I like that it displays links to multiple sources so you can pick which source you want to read. No heavy graphics on the home page so the headlines load quicker than other apps. Among other options, it has a toolbar to jump to more specific articles like health, sports, travel, science, and many others. So far this seems to be a good alternative for getting news from multiple sources in one place. Gave it 4 stars but reserving the last star (5 star) rating until I see how timely they are in reporting breaking news.

Nicely done, simple and fast. With the recent drop of BreakingNews by NBC News Digital, I am looking to fill the gap.

Pls add selectable push notifications!

Add a feature to search for news stories by searching by a keyword. Overall NewsFlash is great with news in a nice package.

Good content and easy to read/scroll presentation. Drawback is lack of push notifications, which means it can't quite replace the breaking news app.

One of the best, but I wish there was some way to set your favorite news sources and block others so NewsFlash won't be filled with news from sources you don't want to see.

With the death of NBC's BreakingNews app this app has become the de-facto leading breaking news app... not because this app has improved, but because it was the second best. I hope the vacuum left behind by BreakingNews will spur them on to improving this app to be what BreakingNews had become. They should consider hiring anyone they can get who were let go by NBC in their stupid decision to dismantle BreakingNews.

Make this app what BreakingNews was! Get BreakingNews' 9.5 million users!!! We need a replacement badly.

This is the best app i've found to replace NBC's breakingnews app. It gets the job done. The one thing I wish it did have was some sort of push notifications for major news. Until it has that, it won't truly be a 100% replacement.

Upgraded software not needed!

Being a working Mom I don't always get s chance to sit down and watch the news. this app keeps me informed on what's going on in the world. I love NewsFlash!!
