Hudl Technique Reviews

The system no longer sends invitations to students to join HUDL Technique so they can view their videos. I have been without this service for 5 weeks. The students are not receiving video reviews that are crucial to learning and improving.
The sport of bowling is difficult enough to learn when the proper tools are available to the student.
The worst part is the lack of support from HUDL. They send me information for other HUDL products. They send me incomplete information.
I have been a Ubersence / HUDL Technique user for many years. This is the first time my requests for help have been ignored or given incomplete answers.

I have loved HudlTechnique when using lessons and sharing feedback. However, there needs to be a way to save the video as a direct export that does not automatically make it slow-motion. I understand you want people to use to app, but if I wanted to video for say, a recruiting video, and the only way to export is slow-motion, then I certainly will find other ways and will not continue to use to app. Again, I love everything about it but there needs to be an option to save regular speed and slow-motion.

I have been trying for 9 months for Hudl to fix the sharing part of HudlTechnique on at least 5 different occasions . They have said it's not a priority on their platform right now. I have all my athletes on his app for this purpose and have the Elite package and cannot even watch video they send unless I am on my laptop or CPU and same goes for them. They cannot see if I video on my iPad and share to their iPhones, they have to go to CPU where you do not have the super slow mo feature and breakdown

HudlTechnique for film is great and breakdown but it's beyond annoying that they won't fix a feature they advertise. Pretty ridiculous. Worked just fine when UBERSENSE had it.

I’ve had an elite subscription for a few years now but I won’t be renewing it. I used to love HudlTechnique but over the past year it has become increasingly unreliable and buggy. Saving videos to the camera role is flat out broken now - entire app crashes (on all my devices). Upload to the cloud is extremely slow and I frequently have to stop and restart the process. It’s really a shame because, when it works, this is a really great app. Hopefully, we will see some fixes soon.

I am new to Hudl Technique but really like it so far. I would like to be able to add multiple Technique Tags for longer clips, but I have only been able to add a single tag. I also think they should add Parent in addition to Coach and Athlete since we registered and manage clips for a younger athlete.
Overall, it is a great tool, taking less storage and is much faster at starting a recording, or deleting one, than the standard iPhone video camera.

I am really enjoying using HudlTechnique with my youth tackle football team to analyze how they are getting out of their stances. I wish that you would integrate the ability to add comments and drawing elements to specific places on the timeline like the main hudl app, where it pauses and shows the comment in context. Sharing could also be made much easier. Great idea... need to continue to make it easier to use.

I use HudlTechnique and import my bowling swing videos into it. I can find my ball speed and rev rate with a chart that I found online. Also great to view in slow motion my whole approach from set up to release to see the flaws that needs work. Many times what you think you are doing is sure not the case when viewed back in slow motion. I rate HudlTechnique as 5 STARS!

Such a great app to show frame by frame, draw lines, Voice Over and send reviews to your clients, customers or students. I wish something like this was available when I was a student many years ago. I even give feedback to other martial artists across the country with HudlTechnique!!

I use HudlTechnique on a daily basis with my track team. Whether it's analyzing form on a technical field event or filming examples of simple drills to share with younger teammates, HudlTechnique is awesome. Paired up with my Hudl team roster, video is easy to share with the athlete or with groups of athletes to share the coaching of similar corrections. The slow motion replay works great.

I think HudlTechnique is great one thing though I REALLY WISH I could save videos to my camera roll when somebody shares a video with me. And just recently on my friends phone who took the video saved it to his camera roll and it only saved in slow motion, I can't figure out why it won't save in normal speed.

I use HudlTechnique most every day in my unending quest to build a good golf swing. it works well. easy to record, easy to annotate, and easy to trim. it includes Apple Watch support which I found a bit underwhelming and therefore stopped using. but that is a nit to me. my only “wish” is that it generated MP4 files.

I’ve used HudlTechnique for years and I have well over 1000 videos with over 100 athletes in HudlTechnique and I use it 6 days out of the week. It has helped in with job immensely. It’s an amazing app and a great crew supporting it. Anytime I’ve ever had an issue the support team always got back to me quickly and solved it.

I have used the other product for years as a throws coach for track and field. HUDL by far is the better app. Great app and tools for annotating video and giving throwers a technical review. Easy to communicate with your athletes and the notifications I get when an athlete reviews the film is perfect.

I’m a 4.5 handy cap and I’ve been using HudlTechnique for many years! It’s allowed me to see what I’m doing right and what I’m doing wrong! Having that instant feedback is invaluable in my training! I’m also able to share videos with my team and get feed back right away!

I'm pleased with the quality of HudlTechnique and the different functions it has available. The zoom, slow motion, and comparison video functionality is excellent. I also like how you can pull from other community videos from coaches to compare and contrast with my own athletes.
