3 months agoI have for many years watched WFMY News 2 at least once every day and have always considered it to be top-quality. However, as a former journalism student, I'm noticing a change in quality of the news shows. Today when WFMY interviewed the gentleman from Alamance County School System, the interviewer repeatedly addressed questions to "You guys". Another person used incorrect grammar of "Where it's at". The word "at" is not appropriate, correct grammar is "Where it is". There is a new anchor who speaks with a strong accent instead of an appealing and customary neutral accent.

Too many ads and too many alerts
EDIT: I have changed this to one star. We had a tornado warning today and I couldn’t watch the live video without watching ads first. Not great for safety reasons. I would willingly pay to not have the ads. Some are constantly flashing and it’s not only distracting, but it gives me a headache and could cause someone to have a seizure. Seriously. Also, the alerts are out of control. Way too many. And I have most of them turned off.

Alerts are a Joke - Literally
I am compelled to leave a review to specifically address the many notifications I'm receiving. I got the app AND chose to allow "alerts" because I want to keep up with important, newsworthy, and possibly critical news or weather happening in the Triad. I DO NOT want to look at photos of a park in OH, eagles in FL, or bears in TN. These are not alerts!!! Other apps allow options for what type of alerts/news to push, but this one does not. So it's all or nothing, it seems. I hope the developers change this soon.

Much too slow loading. News doesn't update often enough, especially on the weekends. Also, I have to delete then re-download the WFMY2 app to my iPhone periodically as the app stops taking me to the website. That doesn’t happen on my iPad. Sorry to be such a complainer.
