No sound. Have tried to reset. MyFirstWords is simple and yet always has an issue.

I have been having issues with some of the apps but have been getting no support and there is no one getting back to me and I have tried sending email but apparently the email Id by the developer is also not right. I’m having issues with 4 apps that I got full version of. Really disappointed!

My 18 month old loves playing on MyFirstWords on my phone. We go over the words together, it’s such a great learning tool. However; I decided to add it to my 5th gen iPad so we could see it on the bigger screen. I even paid the .99 upgrade just like I did on my iPhone. I was disappointed when I pulled it up to find that it won’t make any sounds (saying the words). I checked the volume, even went into the settings on MyFirstWords to make sure it showed the sound was on. Frustrated, I deleted MyFirstWords and reinstalled it to see if it would work, but it still won’t say any of the words with the pictures. On top of that, because I deleted MyFirstWords , it took away my expanded package and has locked half of the flash cards again. Please fix!

On the surface, this is a great learning up *if used as designed*. The problem is that toddlers never play "by the rules", and MyFirstWords does not handle any of the edge cases gracefully. In "Find The Object", you can easily break the slide transition by rapidly tapping the screen, for example - which my 2-year old does frequently. In that case the audio cue never plays because MyFirstWords is busy saying "No, that's not it" for the wrongly clicked item (or "You got it!" because the correct image was tapped accidentally without ever hearing the clue). The program is full of bad user experience cases like that one, making me suspect that it was never tested on the actual target audience. Try the free version first and see how your kid handles it.

Everything I need it to be! But why does the Audio come from the call speaker, and not the main speakers?? We can’t hear the audio unless it’s up to our ear!

MyFirstWords doesn't work like it is suppose to. Sometimes not just my kid can't hit the buttons, but neither can I! Configured wrong or something I'll select something 10 times sometimes before it actually opens up that set of flash cards, other times we have no issues. But my big issue with MyFirstWords is I can't record my own flash cards like it says, MyFirstWords has access to my microphone but it simply doesn't work! I emailed twice about this issue to app support over 2 months ago and never got anyone respond to my issue about not being able to record sound for my flag cards via my iPhone 5. Frustrating I won't be dealing with this company again

YOU HAVE TO RECORD THE WORDS ALL OVER EACH TIME YOU USE MyFirstWords , VERY ANNOYING AND WASTE OF TIME. PLEASE FIX THIS!

The sound on MyFirstWords doesn’t always work!! But when it does it’s a great app

I’m about to test it but I think you need to record the sound yourself. You go to settings and customize the cards by recording yourself saying the words. If it works I’ll give better rating.

My 15 month old loves this and tries to repeat some words and gets excited about words she knows. She often will accidentally tap something that gets her out of MyFirstWords and gets frustrated though. I would like a setting to password protect leaving MyFirstWords .

This is such a helpful app for creating flash cards. When I try to customize a new list, however, it does not allow me to create a new photo from my existing photos, even though that option is available. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if I’m missing something obvious, but I’ve not been able to use that function. But for a free app, it’s really quite amazing.

Once I turned 3 years old, I loved to play this game!

I love MyFirstWords for my toddler. I especially like the “My Photos” section that I can add pictures of our family on. I highly recommend MyFirstWords for speech development.

I am a school-based speech-language pathologist who absolutely LOVES using MyFirstWords with my early language students. I have found the "My Photos" part of MyFirstWords especially helpful, because I can have my students work on matching real objects to their corresponding pictures.

The company delivers a perfect strike on everything they make. My daughter isn't even two yet, but already counts to 20, figures out logic puzzles, and says over two hundred words with amazing clarity and points out things she knows everywhere we go. We've made dozens of our own flash cards for some of the other apps this company makes and she knows how to say nearly everything we've been able to take a picture of. These people have fantastic apps and best of all they're either free or $.99...we have no complaints and show them off to everyone one we know. If you got any of their apps for free be sure to take two seconds to give them a positive review. Thank you from a very proud and appreciative father! 😃

I've tried several apps of flash cards for my toddler, but we both love this one. I love it bc I can customize the "my photos" section, where I can take pics of things or places and record my voice sounding out the word. This part became a game for us. As we see the item, he looks around the house for that item and laughs. He loves it bc not only is there pictures, but it talks to him. I can set it on a loop, so that he can't just keep clicking through without really hearing what it says or what's on that card. I totally recommend MyFirstWords!!

Using only MyFirstWords and a handful of screenshots, I was able to customize speech therapy cards for the exact needs of my child. Thank you for the simplicity and user-friendliness, as well as all of the amazing ‘extras’ at such a low cost. While I believe the target audience is intended to be babies and toddlers, it’s an invaluable tool for anyone needing practice with speech and/or word/image association.
