Most of my work is in the outpatient clinic and the newborn nursery, but I do occasionally get called to pediatric emergencies.
I bought SafeDosePro years ago and was very happy to have it on my phone and accessible. I did, in fact, use it several times in the emergency room.
I received no notice whatsoever that my access to SafeDosePro would no longer be valid. I’m fortunate to have discovered this in a non-emergency setting, but seriously – this was an extraordinarily dangerous thing to do.

Safe Dose Pro was a great app at a great price. I recommended to all of my colleagues. I have used SafeDosePro for over two years while working as an emergency medicine physician. I tried to open SafeDosePro today and I cannot access the information. Safe Dose has decided to go to a subscription based model (after selling me SafeDosePro ). This is poor form to block content after selling an app to a customer. Tried to call customer service and got a recording. Too bad. Deleting SafeDosePro now. Would no longer recommend, especially for $100/year. Getting greedy.

I paid a full version for $20 when apps were at $0.99. I never asked for updates. I was ok using the prior version and all of a sudden they changed it to exorbitant subscription prices

I really wanted to like SafeDosePro. It has some features that seem very useful. Unfortunately, when I was browsing through the categories, I looked up DKA. The only information under that category was on a giving a fluid Bolus. Nothing about insulin. I found info about insulin by looking up insulin in the alphabetical drug list.
This makes me feel like I can't trust SafeDosePro. I look up DKA, and I know that important information is missing. If I look up something more obscure, I might not realize that something is missing.
I have tried to contact the developer both through SafeDosePro and via their website prior to posting a negative review and there was no response to either attempt. At this time I feel that I can't trust the completeness of SafeDosePro, and the developer does not seem to be responsive to concerns. That's pretty much the kiss of death for a medical App as far as I'm concerned. I really hope they fix things and change my opinion!

Great idea but effectively useless because I can’t get any of the buttons to work when using it on my iPhone X. Not very helpful if I can’t access anything I am paying for. Canceling my subscription.

The older version was so much better since it had more medications including some over the counters. I wish I hadn't updated this. Now it's almost useless to me.

I’ve used SafeDosePro for years. Absolutely loved it and used it daily. It was the best pediatric app for medication dosing I’ve ever seen. For some reason the developer thought an update was needed to a perfectly working and excellent app. I’ve now used this updated version for a few shifts on my job and find it to be cumbersome and now slow. It used to be instant results, but now there’s a delay.
There are more features that I personally don’t need and never will use. I doubt the average practitioner would ever use them either no matter what area of peds they work in. The average clinician just needs the dose for the drug. The rest is extraneous material that no one has the time get in to with the fast pace environments that we all work in.
All Another huge disappointment was the new subscription fees that are very costly, a huge increase to what it was prior. I used to personally promote SafeDosePro to all the new practitioners I mentor, but now I do so with reservations because of the cost. Unfortunately, I will be ending my subscription at the end of next month.

W/out a registered Artemis ID you won't find Tylenol, or zofran listed here, conservative dosing guidelines noted to some OTC meds listed. Dr Broselow is a genius and SafeDosePro isn't w/ out good research and can be used by many. I'll have to see what other drugs are missing from this.

I loved SafeDosePro until the last update. Now it only pulls emergency drugs.

SafeDosePro has considerably decreased the amount of time expend calculating doses in our ED. Especially during busy hours and when you have not very experienced physicians in the care of pediatric patients.
I highly recommend SafeDosePro for any healthcare professional caring for children.

Have only had SafeDosePro for a week and have used it constantly... If your facility is broselow friendly this is a must for you to have.

SafeDosePro is an absolute must have for any healthcare professional who administers meds to children. As a pediatric home care nurse my calculations must be impeccable as I am in the home alone & have no one to run to who will double check my math. Pedi safe dose does the double check for me. Thank you for giving me the confidence I need to administer medications dosages accurately.

I'm a nurse but got SafeDosePro to give Tylenol to my 10 month old. I didn't have to call his doctor. SafeDosePro have me the correct dosage.

As a flight nurse I am excited about using SafeDose. SafeDose allows me to put more energy into pediatric care by providing a quick and easy way to confirm dosage and ml amounts for drugs.
Yet, I get most emotional when I realize how great an opportunity this is for health industry professionals to greatly improve emergent pediatric and non-emergent care. SafeDose will help save children's lives.

As both a pediatric ER nurse and flight nurse I have found the Safe Dose app to be an invaluable tool in my practice.
It is a true "second check" for me when time is of the essence and I need to administer drugs or choose equipment.
SafeDosePro is full of useful information and is very easy and straightforward to use.
Nurses, NPs,PAs and physicians can all benefit from having SafeDosePro at the touch of their fingers.

Love it. Worth it's weight in gold when needed in ER or at clinic. Saves time. Responsive staff the one time I contacted them. Highly recommend.

If I had to choose 1 resource I can't do without as an ER clinician, it would be SafeDose. This is amazing and I don't have to worry about dosing med errors.

Excellent standardization for quick dosing to avoid medical errors during emergencies and during routine non-emergent care.

A university research study published in the Journal of Pediatric Pharmacology and Therapeutics found that after less than 10 minutes of training, the use of eBroselow’s system increased the accuracy of medication doses prepared during simulated pediatric emergencies by nearly 25 percent, and completely eliminated clinically significant errors.
iMedicalApps said SafeDose is "useful and well designed... Undoubtedly, the potential for medication errors would be reduced if practitioners were to rely on the information provided by this app".
The research also showed that use of the hospital version of eBroselow, as compared to traditional processes, reduced the time required to prepare medication during an emergency.
Used by hundreds of hospitals and many thousands of practitioners, all eBroselow SafeDose medical content is medically reviewed for accuracy.
SafeDose provides mixing instructions, dosing and drug administration information on a single, actionable page.
