The new update has made it so difficult just to see what time the bus is going to get to stops. I’ll check the night before and set an alarm but the time is constantly changing. I’m not understanding at all when the bus is coming, just a constant fear that I’ve either missed it or it’s extremely late. Had to wait for 10+ minutes for buses today so I’m super frustrated.
I’ll literally check the time before I head out and check it again when I reach my bus stop (a 2min walk) and it’ll be different... 1:51 becomes 1:45 and I’m left stressing over if I need a ride while I wait for the bus. Please bring back original version while new one is being worked on, I can barely rely on bus for transportation like this...

This update is no good. I’ll click on map and it’ll give me the 35 MC via Southwest with how many minutes late it is, but it says nothing about the 35 OH via Butterfield. Also the GPS is wicked wonky and will say things like walk 9 min or walk 1 min and then 8 min even thought it’s a 14 min walk. Since it doesn’t display the 35 OH route it’s another few clicks to get the route up so I can see when the next bus is coming. Also the premium version? I’m paying 30k a year and there’s a premium version of the bus app?? That doesn’t add up. Why does the paid version exist?

I always referred people to UMassBusTrack because I found it much easier to use than others, and it allows you to click on each stop to see the different routes. The update still lets you do this, but in a much more confusing way (bring back the exact times when the buses come, not just how many minutes until the next one). Also, the old version told you how many minutes late/what time a bus would actually be arriving, and I think this version does too (?) but in a completely unnecessary way. UMassBusTrack also took 3min to load once I opened it.

This bus app has become very reliable especially tor time like this. Very helpful and understanding people working on UMassBusTrack that helped and continued to fix any previous issues with UMassBusTrack and made it more possible for the bus app to run more better and has made my experience with UMassBusTrack easier!

The most useful feature of UMassBusTrack is definitely looking at all the (expected) arrival times for a particular stop. You can divide this view based on the route you’re interested in, but the times are completely out of order. So, to check if the bus is running on time, you have to scroll through all the arrival times carefully to pick out the time you’re interested in. Much less user-friendly.

I’ve been using this application on a daily basis since I started school at UMass in 2015. Now that I’m graduating, I will continue to use it because since I’m staying in the area. It’s super reliable, even more so than the newer app.

*The only thing I wish UMassBusTrack had is a dark theme (easier on the eyes, more accessible). That would be AMAZING!*

Hello, I am an executive coding project manager with Bustrack. We are happy to continue developing an app which disadvantages students all over, especially the off-campus population. Every day, our team is determined to make sure every student without a dorm is late to class; with no schedules or maps available at times, how could they ever be on time?! Not only does it tell you if the bus is running late, it actually shows you where your bus is currently.
My student life depends on UMassBusTrack actually hahaha!
Great app! Keep it up and thanks for constantly fixing the bugs!

Always lets me know when the bus is early or running late! Only thing stopping me from knowing immediately is eduroam not working after class. Makes getting around so much easier! So thankful for UMassBusTrack!

Great when it works. Though, that's only half the time at best. The other half of the time it won't load any route data at all. Definitely use UMassBusTrack to get familiar with the times, but don't rely on it.

You have fixed the problem in my city in 24 hours, and everything is fine.

Usually always works. Sometimes doesn’t load bus locations super accurately but otherwise awesome!

This update has made UMassBusTrack rlly user un-friendly. It’s not intuitive, and I rlly don’t like that it doesn’t tell you the times that the buses are coming, just that it’s 25 min out. At a glance that’s not easier to understand or process. Also I dislike that it doesn’t just give a list of buses coming in chronological order, and now it’s by line. Please just change it back, we all understood that version!

It would be cool if there was a way I could just look up a bus number and see where it stops near me instead of having to click stops around me and checking what busses stop there. Maybe I’m just stupid idk but it doesn’t seem to work like that for me

Simple, easy to use, and very useful everyday for a lazy bum like me. It used to be able to track the buses but I dont see that feature on anymore? Overall, I use UMassBusTrack everyday.

I'm always so glad UMassBusTrack exists when I'm running late and need to check the map and see where the bus is!

Recently they changed all “directions” to premium only. I understand that this is an app maintained and needs revenue but that’s why there are ads, there is no reason use UMassBusTrack since the update. You get to see the pdf schedule and that’s basically it, unless you pay premium

Real-time tracker is better than PVTA’s official app and is the killer feature for students and people who do not wish to waste time at the bus stop.

All I need out of this is a way to see what bus comes when from what stop...they are trying to make it way more sophisticated than it should be. The new update makes this information harder to find easily...in fact the stops are not even appearing. UMassBusTrack was great until the last couple of updates.

I use UMassBusTrack for getting to my 8 and 9 am’s in time. The new update no longer has what time the bus is due to the stop but how many minutes away it is. My brain is not awake enough to do the math of it’s 7:43 your bus is 49 min away...that’s ridiculous please switch it back. We don’t need to know how many min away a bus is an hour out!!
