I was so happy when I started using this now MUST pay it’s not useful any more

I used to love NumberGuru. It worked great and would give me info on callers. Now it gives me nothing. At one point, I paid $40 for the upgraded version to get better results, but NumberGuru was later updated and now it wants me to sign up for premium service…? Why did I pay $40 already?

I keep it in my phone hoping somebody it will return to its previous functionality, but every time I try to check a number, it fails me.

This all is a waste of time and money. Great app idea, but apparently greed of the developer has ruined it. Fix it and I’ll redo my review.

Used to be quite useful. Last few years totally unhelpful. Paid or unpaid versions

Garbage, it used to give names & business names etc, the last 20 searches it doesn’t reveal anything tells the phone carrier, that’s it. Garbage app now.

Every phone number I search now comes up blank

Seems they took out the reverse phone look up part of the reversePhone look up app. Not the move I would’ve gone with, however, you do you.

I downloaded NumberGuru for a survey and payed for the prime and it stole my personal information! and money directly from my card!!!
Do not get it. They charged me 23 bucks for no reason. It's a scam

Had NumberGuru for years and was pretty effective at reverse lookup. Recent updates have eliminated that without a subscription. Don't waste your time downloading NumberGuru

This was once a great app now they charge for any type of basic info. You can search for a number & NumberGuru doesn’t provide anything useful. Better off using google to find info.

I’ve had NumberGuru for a couple years now and have used it dozens of times. As of today it has yet to provide me any information on the caller. Seems like the only number it knows is my phone.

At one time, Number Guru was actually a useful app.

Now, it is a complete scam. Everything is hidden behind a subscription or fee, so all it tells you is it, “searched”.

Deleted from all my devices and hid in “previous purchases” so I don’t accidentally reinstall it.

This was the premier app back in the day to get good intel. You could find out a lot of info with numbers. As of about two years ago, that all stopped.

Now they don’t give you any information. Very wrong move by the developers as this used to stay on my phone. Now I download it in hopes it will give me info like it used to, but it never does.

It’s trash now.

I actually paid for NumberGuru a few years ago, now I try to use if and find out it’s a subscription service, not a chance I’m keeping it any longer. They can’t even get the information on, one of my numbers correct, how can I trust that any other numbers would be.

My fault for paying for it in the first place !

NumberGuru use to work great. I haven’t had success with number look up in the past few years. I get more info from google than NumberGuru now. The response to another review from the maker says the info they provide is public, then in the same sentence says it’s not publicly available. That’s enough to make me delete NumberGuru. There’s another reverse # lookup app that’s free. I will give that one a try. Bye bye NG!!

I always try a few numbers I know first or ones I can look up to see how accurate these apps are. 10 numbers I tried and every single one of them was wrong. Some were businesses some were my family or friends. I enrolled in the premium service which gives you 100 look ups per month. All that I looked up had no extra information and when it did, It was wrong.

This was my go to app when I would get calls from unknown numbers. Now I assume it is a pay to view site only. The only information I get from NumberGuru now is what shows on the caller if which is the number calling and the city and state the number is calling from. Very limited info now. I understand the fact that they are trying to make money but you should have a little better features for the free version. I guess I will have to delete NumberGuru and find another

NumberGuru prevented me from calling 911. I am not joking of confused. My husband had a medical emergency and I repeatedly attempted to call for help, but my call would not go through. I had to call my father-in-law, and in a panic, scream for him to have an ambulance sent to our home. It was the most terrifying event of my life. Once we were at the hospital, I had a moment to look at my phone to try and troubleshoot what had happened— each call I had attempted to make to 911 was flagged by Number Guru, and was canceled. I had more than a half dozen unsuccessful calls!!!

App did not launch for multiple tries, was stuck on NG screen! Not well tested. Please fix!

Update #2: No more Ads, but extremely glitchy and you have to leave written review. The review only works 1/2 the time as NumberGuru freezes. The time spent writing your review is lost once it freezes. I have to restart 1-2 times to write review just to add a number. The setting on phone to use app to filter or block calls, which works with other apps, spins perpetually when you trying to add in phone settings. Did developer give up on fixes/glitches?

Update 1: NumberGuru used to be great, now it's just adware!!!! I am forced to watch 3 annoying video ads at 12 seconds each per search. Who wants to wait through 36 seconds of annoying loud videos for a search? They completed destroyed NumberGuru. I HATE using it, especially for 36 seconds wasted with a number that sometimes comes up with no data :-( it's a SCAM. Please read all the other "one " star reviews before wasting your time.

This use to be my go to so that I can confirm numbers. But now names are no longer given when doing a search. You now have to pay I guess. Sad, I understand they have to make money some way outside of collecting data and usage but without having the names NumberGuru is no longer needed.
