It does what it says it does. But it’s not fluid or easy to calculate a tip after dinner. You can’t just enter in the check price and get a tip value and see how much it would be split in two. You have to hit DONE before it calculates.

Extra steps that constantly annoy me and makes this tool useless in my opinion.

I loved the tipulator app but it’s dead. So I’m still searching for a viable replacement and haven’t found one yet.

This used to be the best free tip calculator. Like most free apps it had adds in the background which didn't bother me. But now it's unusable without paying because they started using very loud obnoxious video ads. I refuse to use any non video app that uses video based ads. How embarrassing if you are in the restaurant and one of these ads plays! I'm not going to pay to remove ads just on principle.

I understand free apps must have amount of adds to support the cause but TipCheck is very pathetic. Each action I do such as see what is the appropriate tip for Valet, hotel, etc, freakin full screen adds pops up. I literally mean “with each click”. Some apps wait a few mins or even after a few clicks before showing you a new add. This is so very lame.

...the Ads right from the moment you open TipCheck is absolutely ridiculous!! I simply entered the amount I of my check and I got a pop-up ad. Sorry, but no...delete. I would rather pay $ then deal with that. Honestly, have a ticker/crawl thing across the bottom that doesn’t interfere with the interface/input of information in TipCheck .

Sorry, it’s a real shame because you can see from the design that much time was taken to construct a quality product that is now being wasted due to ridiculous pop-up and inhibiting ads.

TipCheck is an oops! Put in the subtotal without tax and you get the correct calculation. If you enter the full amount with tax, THEN tell it tip pre-tax, it gives you an incorrect calculation! It should be exactly the same! Somebody mis-programmed it or doesn’t know their math! NOW, the last few days, when you hit the “done” button, a huge full page ad jumps out at you with startling loud music!! Also when it does, it very often blanks what you had just input. Can’t live with this! You’ve got to fix that!! I offloaded TipCheck. Found a MUCH NICER ONE!!

Not worth it for the ads. You have to wait 5 seconds for them to go away while they play obnoxious music--in between every single thing you look up. In addition, TipCheck is missing some of the most basic things I was looking for. Dumping it.

Love TipCheck but hate the ads, it is so irritating that I do not even look at what it’s advertised so it’s not effective, is there a way to get a paid version to illimitable these annoying ads

I like TipCheck for tipping but way too many ads! It’s super annoying especially when you are trying to add up the tip.

TipCheck is well created and easy to quickly figure the appropriate tip for unusual occasions. BUT! There is a but to this. Put your phone in airplane mode prior to opening TipCheck . Trust me, this will save you time and the embarrassment of the obnoxious adds that pop up at every screen change. If not for the extremely obnoxious ads I would have given 5 stars. Actually the 3rd star I'm conflicted over.

C’mon! I know there needs to be ads but it’s ridiculous when I need to check for a tip amount when I am up at the cashier’s stand, and they’re waiting on me. I’m calling it up and get smashed with ads trying to find the “x” to get it off the screen. Must you make that “x” as tiny as a gnat??!!!!!!
Until you fix this, I don’t think TipCheck deserves me rating it any higher than 2. I’m hoping that someone coding can make TipCheck at least a 4 star rating - again. Please?

Every time I'm at a restaurant, spa, etc. I pull up this handy app. It lets me know the customary percentage for the the level of service I review and how much I should be tip!

I was a Fine Arts major in college, so math is not my forte. TipCheck makes it so easy to make sure the tip is correct every time!

I settled on TipCheck. after trying a few.
I use the tax field when there is a delivery charge so as not to tip on the delivery charge.
It works. No complaints.

This is, by far, the simplest and easiest tip app. Calculates quickly and accurately. Helps avoid both under and over tipping. Also prevents confusion when dividing the check among multiple payers.
