I like this app 13 tv news and watch it most of the time. But the 13 news app leaves much to be desired. First, 75% of the “top” news stories are repeated in the “local” news and “national” news categories. Why? Don’t repeat the same news in all of the categories. Some news and weather forecasts are left on WTHR 2 or 3 days after the day they occurred. Sports news stories are also left on for days after occurring. Remove old or outdated weather and news. There are plenty of new sports stories occurring daily. Update, keep it current!! Finally, my biggest complaint is when I am scrolling down, the page jumps back to the top. This is annoying. The other local news apps don’t do that. Why does 13 app constantly jump back to the top of the page?? I very rarely use the 13 app because of that constantly occurring nuisance. Are you trying to force me to take time and see the ads?? It would appear so. Improve your news app and make it as good as your tv broadcast news.

Your new interactive radar doesn’t work half as well as the one you had before. It was hard to learn and harder to get radar from different areas of the state or the whole nation. What’s up?

I have enjoyed the channel 13 app for weather updates and news. I mostly used the interactive weather map. The map was recently updated and I can it get it to show live data when in “play” mode. It only shows up when paused or still. I have an iphone8 and have no issues with other apps. I have been using the fox59 app since this one no longer works for me. Please please please put the older version back on WTHR until you figure out the glitch. Thks!

Since I upgraded devices I have had to uninstall and reinstall WTHR bc it wouldn’t work for several days. This is the only news app I’ve ever had, but it looks like that will change since I can’t get anything to load when I open your app. After I reinstall it, WTHR works for about a day, then won’t load any content. I love your news station, but if you aren’t willing to pay people to develop and maintain your app, then maybe you should reconsider having that app. I’m 30 years old and have never had a different news app, until now bc your content won’t load and I need things like my weather and news! Hoping you fix soon....

This used to be my go-to app for news and weather but I'm tired of it locking up in the middle of stories and the gyrations I have to go through to continue. And I hate the contradicting weather forecast story entries. Seems like it would be logical to delete the older entry when you post a newer one. Sure I can look at the time on each article, but why should a reader have two to look at? I'm glad your staff has won awards etc for reporting, but how about putting some manpower on the delivery please? And I can't believe someone couldn't proofread your stories before you post them. As good as the reporting is, the sloppy presentation really counters all the good.

WTHR was ok in general...could use better structure and navigation, particularly for a quick glance at weather or traffic...but I deleted it today because of the relentless push notifications. It doesn’t matter what you select in your preferences, it doesn’t honor them. I just wanted weather and traffic updates but I still get breaking news and the occasional sports update throughout the day. There’s always something bad happening...I don’t want to wake up to bad news on my screen or have it pop up while I’m at work. Every day, several times a day.

I like the format, but like other apps, it has a lot of stale news and weather.
It has crashed a couple of times, but no indication why.
I prefer content over live streaming, which may be out of line with others that use WTHR.
I would also like to point out that there are a number of typos in the text, and that indicates news stories are added without much forethought.
On the other hand, I do like the layout, and especially like being able to get snippets of home while I'm away.

I prefer this app over any other news cast. Fox is fake news and the others are just poor Indy channels. But, most of the stories I read from WTHR are written with poor grammar. Examples being, a word that shouldn’t be there is; or a word that should be there, isn’t. I just feel like the journalists go to a near by elementary school and allow the children to write the stories. Other than that, great app. Besides it crashing a lot.. Maybe it’s not so good? All well, it’s your phone you choose who you want to read from. Just giving my opinion.

The breaking news alerts have become ridiculous. When I get an alert, I expect it to be something important and relevant-not announcing the opening a restaurant. The ads have also become intrusive, sometimes not letting me swipe them away. I like having the access to local news but it is becoming less and less useful.

If you would fix the issue of while scrolling through top stories it randomly jumps back to top of page while I’m looking through all the stories and getting my eye caught by one lower on the list and starting to read what it’s about then bam glitch or skip back at the top of the page and starting over. Fix this it’s annoying and very frustrating.

Could be a great app, especially when you don’t have TV to watch news on (personal choice). As the last guy mentioned, as you are scrolling through it will jump back to the top story. It is soooooooo stinking frustrating. Not only is this a problem but it will also just literally shut down! Your really into a story and BAM it has closed out! This makes me so mad I give up and read the news on FOX 59 app, with no problems at all! So yes, could be great...

Ever since Apple updated their software to iOS 12, WTHR doesn’t give notifications. I have contacted this app, many times, with no response. None of the settings have changed, notifications are turned on, but no notifications come through. They don’t seem to care that thousands of people are not getting their notifications anymore. Part of having a good app is also providing good customer contact.

I use the traffic maps for my bus route. We have 4 different schools we drop kids off at. All special needs.
We can reroute if needed be using the maps.

Oh my gosh. I get so frustrated when I get an alert about a live news event, tap to see what is happening, and then am subjected to a “But first...” commercial!! Come on. Do you really need that profit to support WTHR?? It’s crazy ridiculous and I’ve started using WTHR much less often in general because of it. Please reconsider.

Aside from the occasional crash and burn this was my preferred local news app. That is until the bombardment of push notifications and alert ms that Kravitz has a new sports blog. Blogs are not news. If you're not going to allow people to select which type of notifications they receive then reserve them for traffic, weather and actual news not someone's opinion of a sports team. I can't stand it. Delete.
