DiligentBoards drains the battery of an iPad at a very rapid rate. Battery will be fully drained in a couple of hours when using it. Needs fixing!

Should have expected this to be the case. Not holding my breath for an update before my next meeting that requires Boards for its board papers in a months time which will be a total PIA. Will no doubt have to try to use the browser client instead..

As the head of Mobile Technology I already decided to use BoardBooks for our monthly distribution and had the budget allocated for it. I notified them with what I thought were 3 simple questions (can I download a sample, send me some info on the upload process, cost range).

I got back a response that didn't answer anything and was informed I would have to sit through a demo even if I didn't require it and they needed an NDA. I requested an NDA to get things moving. Now days later never heard back. Enterprise level "Sales" people that actually get in the way of making an easy sale always leave me scratching my head.

The software does not allow URLs to be created for board books, individual pages or other content. This is critical functionality that has been in competitive offerings since day one. This is a showstopper. Do not buy until they fix it.

In addition, if your company enables MFA, then users cannot switch between board books without logging out and logging in again. Since Diligent does not play nicely with my password manager, this is a real pain.

Have been using for almost 10 years and while your passcode setting is cumbersome (frequent changes, burdensome naming rules) in the past your support was A+ in handling changes. Called and someone answered immediately and fixed the issue. Today the system would not let me change the passcode, tried 5 times and times out before I can change it. When calling support I was put on hold for too long and had to call back later to hold again. Process in past took 3 mins and today spent over an hour on this.

Such as “Resource Center,” contacts and calendar. Also, all versions should provide user to search a specific document, folder or entire library. Finally, annotation feature set is quite limited compare to others.

Has been a very good app. Latest update, though, introduced a bug. Now, using the pen feature for marking up documents doesn’t work - marks are invisible till you exit markup (which means you can’t see what you’re doing), and even then some of them don’t show. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!

I have been using Diligent for about a year as a director. It works fine, but could take better advantage of technology. Annotations should carry over between platforms (PC and iPad). Users should automatically be notified when updates are posted. It would be nice to be able to jump directly to pages with notes. You should be able to save pages with notes so that they don't disappear when new pages are synced. It also crashes from time to time.

A good app, better than some of its competitors, with decent navigation and security.
However they have missed a big opportunity by not having native support for Apple Pencil, which would be transformative for board members as they review, prepare and participate. The Pencil sort of works without software support, but without proper coding it loses details, rendering it unusable.

The application is fairly robust but is lacking the ability to print, either the complete report or selected pages. This would be most helpful.

Thanks for the ios7 update. You should fix this problem: the top of each page is obscured by the header bar. You cannot read the text at the top of the page, and you cannot scroll down.

Terrific App, much better than the competition. The push notification feature is a neat feature for signing documents through Diligent.

Love the Diligent Boards App. It is so simple to use and I love that I can access all of my latest board material no matter where I am right from Diligent Boards. If I have any questions I just call the support line to speak to a real life person no matter what time of day. The support that Diligent provides is unheard of these days. Thanks Diligent!

I like using DiligentBoards to follow the book in parallel to having the web app open on my computer. Easy to look at my notes on the go.

Fantastic iPad application for Directors to review board materials. The ability to sync board material and encrypt on the iPad allows for a secure, easy to use method of handling sensitive board materials on the go - on a plane, train or in an airport. The intuitive application is also great to access during the board meeting - paperless and easy to transport.
