GasBuddy Status

Seems like the app is very slow to respond to any command I give it. It did real good about two weeks ago and was fast and I loved it but it’s now slow down and it takes like 15 seconds from the time I report the price to the time that it says that it has been reported.

Every time I open the app it says something went wrong. It has been doing this for months. I deleted the app and reinstalled but it still does it. It used to work great, I've had it for years. Very disappointing.

How can we refresh gas prices in Kanata as they seem 15 hours old and are no where the same prices when driving by.

Upon opening in Android, app flips between portrait and landscape about 2 times a second. I've removed and reinstalled the app and have the same result. I've locked screen rotation and get the same result. App had been working fine. App version 700.78.22814. Android version 13.

Why isn’t gas buddy working?

I have had GasBuddy for a number of years. I recently went to use it , and when it connected, it came up with a blank screen in place of the map. I tried several times, but it always came up the same. Then I uninstalled the app and went to the Play Store to download it again, but I kept on getting the meesage it wasn't sucessful and to try again.

After I take a photo to upload receipt it will not let me answer if I used a credit debit card? Yes or no. No matter what I do it does nothing I tried multiple times. It was to activate a offer

Every time I open the GasBuddy app I am required to login and then the stations list does not update. This has been going on for a while now but did work for about a day and then went right back to doing the same thing. For some reason every time GasBuddy tries to update their app it is worse.

Why does Sam's Club gas keep disappearing from GasBuddy and my favorites?

Hello, phone currently running has buddy is iPhone 14 I am unable to open google maps via the gas buddy app after trying to pull the directions from a gas station. It will say “error launch app”. I’ve already changed the preferred touring app through the setting and set it to open “google apps”.

Every time during the past 2 months, when I check Gas Buddy for prices, the prices stated are considerably higher than they actually are. ie: Current stated prices are $3.79 @ Murphy (WalMart) but actual price is $3.09 per gal.

when i try to login it takes my email address but when I try to put in my password it keeps jumping back to the line and won't let me enter it. Is this connected to a virus?

Trying to save a gas purchase entry on iphone, getting the message "Something unexpected has gone wrong. Please, check your internet connection and try again." Internet works with every other app. What's going on?

I have 2 favorites on my app. One is Costco and the other is Sam’s. I used to be able to tap the heart symbol for favorite stations and both Costco and Sam's would show. Now, when I tap the heart all I get is Costco. The app claims that Sam’s is “other regular fuel in the area” and that it does not match all of my filters. The heart next to Sam's is showing red, just like Costco, which indicates that it is one of my favorites, but it refuses to show Sam’s. Sam's is about a mile and a half away from Costco. In my none favorites, it shows stations that are 4.87 miles from my house. Costco is only 2.42 miles from my house, so Sam's is well within the distance parameters. What can I do to get the app to show Sam’s in my favorites? Please get back to me.

Challenges not coming up

My drives are not being picked up by gasbuddy in the app. It will occasionally pick up one drive, but then not pick up anything for 2 or 3 days. Additionally it may pick up 1 or 2 drives a day out of 10 or 12 drives that I make. Distance driven, or location of drives do not seem to matter. I can not find any pattern in the problem. Cell phone is in the same location in the car, with a clear view of the sky through the front window and in the same location/holder that was used when I began using this function of the app.

Can not get app shortcut to stay on my android phone

GasBuddy has been great. Updated to iOS 15.6.1 a couple weeks ago. Last 2 days GasBuddy tells me “no diesel fuel found” in my city. Change cities or fuel type and get the same answer. Restarted my phone and replaced the app. No change.

My app acts as if the location is turned off but it isn't. Need help getting it restarted! Heath

App won't open, says error, I report error, nothing helps. Then I got rid of the App, then reinstalled it but the same thing happens...it won't open up!

Widget stopped working on iPhone 11, won’t display at all, just disappeared….can’t find solution. When I attempt to customize widgets, the widget says it is there but won’t display when done customization. iPhone software is up to date. Any help would be most appreciated . Thank you.

App is stuck in a feedback loop where it asks for location access, I hit the connect button, it starts to go to the app, then goes back to the page requesting location access be granted. There does not appear to be any way out of the loop

Up graded to the new app and lost all my information on my vehicles from the old version

App quit working. Won't report recent prices. I get alerts about price changes but when I go to the app the price quotes are wrong. Prices haven't changed for several weeks

When I enter the price of gas, and I enter 184.9, after I hit the submit button the price changes to 18.4. I have done it multiple times and it always does the same thing.

Gasbuddy sometimes clears my addresses that I typed in the location/destination search bar. Even when the information isn't cleared, when I click the search button after typing in the addresses, nothing happens.

I've had the gasbuddy app since it started. Has always been great. But just since the recent gas price spike, the app is quirky. I'll be in map mode and it just goes blank. Or sometimes just closes on it's own. No update since 2021. Wonder if the servers been hacked? It's that weird.

Ever since your last update the app doesn’t seem to be able to find my “current location” as accurately as it did before when I look for gas prices.

App not working without wi-Fi. How do you find a gas station on the road??

App frozen as would not let me select route. Can not exit either.

I have the GasBuddy app v.6.2.69. 21469 on my Android phone. It seems to work fine on local wi-if (in multiple locations), but simply will not connect through 4G cellular. Can you assist?
