A user incorrectly reported that my neighborhood feeder street was closed 975 days ago resulting in NavmiiOfflineGPSUSA not navigate to or from my house. I submitted over a dozen reports that the street I travel on everyday was not closed or blocked in any way. Each time it acknowledges receipt of my correction but after two weeks, and uninstall/reinstalls the road is still shown to be closed with construction ongoing. No one from Email, Twitter or the Facebook listed support options ever sent me a response to my request for help. NavmiiOfflineGPSUSA connects beautifully to interface with my Pioneer head unit from my iPhone 7s, but I just found the Waze app to be compatible as well. Good riddance!
We purchased the HUD and Enhanced Voice add ons neither work as advertised. Tried to get support or a refund and no answer. Basic app is just that, very basic. I guess you could use it but with all the other good ones out there why would you waste your time?
We originally purchased the huddy phone holder but when their app didn’t work at all they suggested this one. After purchasing the hud upgrade I find its no better. Don’t waste your time.
I wanted to try something different than Waze for my pioneer head unit. NavmiiOfflineGPSUSA looked promising until I got prompted to let NavmiiOfflineGPSUSA use my location even when it's not being used. A big no thanks from me. No app should ever use your location when you're not using it. Back to Waze I go.
This is by far the worst app i’ve downloaded . paid extra for navigation upgrade cant even get it to go into HUD mode app is anything but intuitive,don’t waste your money i would give it half a star but it’s not an option
When nav is launched it takes up a quarter of the screen. Worthless when it’s too small to see where you’re going. Wish Waze would support pioneer again.
Cannot enter in destinations further than the next town even though The whole state is loaded in. Useless for trips over 25 miles.
NavmiiOfflineGPSUSA keeps calculating the route even though the address is located on the map.
App needs a few tweaks such as:
1) Support for Apple CarPlay
2) fix google search (Error in server response. Please, try again)
3) Update to allow 'Background App Refresh'.
4) Update to go 'back or to the previous screen' when the user swipes the screen from left to right.
App crashed every time I tried to use it. Deleted and redownloaded it and now it's working. Unreliable but otherwise good app.
I got NavmiiOfflineGPSUSA for a long road trip where I knew I would have limited or no data access. It works ok but needs improvements.
First problem I encountered was the loss of detail when zooming out. I understand less detail can be shown but I was crossing rural areas where the only you could see in the area was the largest highways unless you zoom in really close and then you can only follow the road by panning.
Second there is no point A to point B route planning. You can only go from where you are to a destination.
Third, if your device does not have GPS (wifi only) you cannot plan a route because it does not know where you are (per previous problem).
All of this became apparent when the major highway we were on was closed because of weather. When zoomed out the only road shown was the closed highway, with no GPS I couldn't get it to calculate s route and there was no way to manually tell it where we were.
After iOS 11 and 12 Navmii seemed to abandon their updates and support for Pioneer decks/nav systems. Tried it today and it’s like it was before, working great. The system let me restore my purchases and maps so I’m good to go. Hey Navmii developers, don’t leave these sitting for so long without updates to the current iOS next time.
NavmiiOfflineGPSUSA works well and I like the interface. However, it does need some different color options or even a high contrast option so it is more visible in brighter ambient light conditions.
Why haven’t you updated in almost a year? Please make some updates.
A great back up map application on my phone above my car GPS system for which I paid $$$.
