Recommended by my therapist

My therapist recommended iChill, we go through similar exercises together. I use iChill when I’m feeling whatever gnarly thing I happen to be feeling and am on my own and have to cope without the aid of my therapist. I have PTSD and it’s a very confusing thing to go through but, it definitely helps (so much), knowing that it’s not just all in your head but your body is also processing the trauma and you may not be cognizant of the fact that the sensations you are feeling are related to the event. iChill helps to ground me and make sense of what I’m feeling. I def recommend, especially if you are unwilling or unable to see a trauma therapist.

Helpful

As a first responder with PTSD I have found iChill to be helpful on low days. It is helpful for me to understand why my body is doing what it is doing.

Amazing

Really helps with strategies for my anxiety. Love how they read the text for you.

Too text heavy

If you have difficulty processing text during an anxiety attack this isn’t the tool for you.

By

Useless

The sound won’t work which makes iChill fairly useless.

Great app!!

I am a veteran with PTSD and I use iChill almost daily to help me combat my PTSD symptoms. When I start to feel anxious about sitting with my back to the door in a restaurant, driving, crowds, etc. I just follow the three skills iChill teaches you, grounding, resourcing, and shift & stay to bring down my anxiety. You can personalize the resources section by uploading pictures and recording what brings you happiness. This feature makes iChill uniquely yours. WoofsAndWarriors

I love iChill, I've been personalizing it with photos of my wife and Service Dog as things that help bring me down when I'm amped up. I especially love being guided and provided simple steps that are quick, useful and accessible everyday! Having had some rather horrific experiences with my PTSD due to MST I like having the ability to have my own private space that's tangible when I feel disconnected! NOT INVISIBLE!!

Love it!

It can be pretty tough to calm your mind and body when you're already amped up, or anxious, because it can be hard to keep your mind on track. That being said, iChill is hugely helpful in keeping your mind focused because you have a soothing voice that guides you through the process and can bring you back on point if your mind wanders. I also like that iChill can be personalized with your own resources and support.

Nice- but needs to be more user friendly

I agree with others that although iChill is very helpful, it feels like a PowerPoint at times. I wish after using it for the first time it was more guided in each section, and continuously flowed. Having to stop and hit "next" takes me out of the moment. I also wish that iChill showed MY resiliency chart, not just examples of what it could look like. I like the premise and idea of iChill, but it could be improved!

Ichill

A great app reviewing the most user friendly approach to trauma recovery. Gives usable and effective skill training instructions as well as opportunity to add in your own personal resources. A great way to learn new skills and/or refresh yourself when stuck.

Great content and not much else

iChill provides a lot of interesting and useful content, but feels more like a PowerPoint presentation with a couple of buttons.

A joke

This is a bunch of text. Pointless. Well intentioned, but intellectualized to think that this works.

Helpful!

Thanks to iChill I was able to shift from high anxiety to feeling so relaxed I fell into deep sleep. The content is valuable. I rated it 4 because it's worth downloading and having in one's toolkit. It would be a five if the audio portion worked. iChill itself is a little Mickey Mouse but the content is great. Simple and straight forward which is best when stress is high!
