Upon launch, I get an error saying “to safeguard your data, we do not support rooted or jailbroken devices.” MY DEVICE IS NOT EVEN JAILBROKEN OR ANYTHING!!! I already had to get a new phone because you decided I shouldn’t be allowed to use the app on an older device anymore, and now you pull this! Get rid of that trash or at least put an ok button, so where it’s not blocking out people for no reason. Even if somebody did root their device, that’s on them if something happens, however that is NOT EVEN THE CASE HERE! I don’t know why I’m getting that error! I’m so fed up with Dollar Bank for multiple reasons, soon I’ll just have to move all my money to a bank that can have a working app. Edit: In response to the developer’s response here, I ALREADY HAVE contacted support, got an email saying it would be forwarded and that I’d hear back, and now nearing a month later, I’ve still gotten no further response or help at all. If some corporate executive didn’t discriminate against lower income people who can’t afford the newest devices, and try to implement a non-working, faulty root detection system disallowing use of the app entirely, we wouldn’t be in this situation, and you’d likely have a 5 star review instead.

Check deposit on some checks doesn’t work, and hasn’t for well over a year now. I’ve written about this multiple times without anything getting resolved, and it is beyond frustrating since mobile deposit is mostly why I use the app. The checks it can’t read are coming from CitiBank, so not exactly a backwater outfit. The message I keep getting is that the amount on the check doesn’t match the written amount., which is not true. So the character recognition software is insufficient to handle these particular checks. The amount on the check is preceded by stars. Maybe that is the problem? Just grasping at straws here. All I get is the standard answer from the developers “we’re sorry you’re having issues….blah blah blah…can you email us to explain?” Which I have (telling the same story I’m telling here) without a reply or solution. So off I go again on my third trip to the local Dollar Bank this week to deposit my check. Such fun! PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE AND COME UP WITH A SOLUTION. It’s 2024. It’s shouldn’t be this hard to fix something simple as this.

Was excited to switch from Chase to a smaller bank (my mortgage was sold to this bank) so that I could have a “small town” feel as opposed to a large conglomerate and none of this has been the case. On hold times are extremely long to contact someone on the phone (regularly 30+ minutes, 50 minute to get someone on the phone), and agents are brief, uninterested, and not really trained.
Comparing the app to what Chase (and much smaller local banks offer) the app is underwhelming and cantankerous at best. Can’t enroll to biometrics (easy to do with two other apps I’ve used), and shared very little to no information related to previous payments, payment history, future payments, comparisons of principal/interest.
Overall, between the not really useful app and the long hold times for not that helpful customer service - I REALLY wish my loan could be sold back to Chase as this has been a poor experience.
