Kosher GPS Reviews

I used to rely heavily on Kosher GPS for frequent travel. That’s all changed. It’s much better LOOKING now, but, sadly, nearly completely useless to me. And the new version seems to be getting worse, not better. I now can’t search restaurants in dense Kosher areas. When I CAN find something, its listing provides almost no information, no ratings. If I follow link to the restaurant’s site and then wish to return to the list, I have to start the same search again from the start. Nothing about the process works well.

I REALLY hope that things get fixed very soon. PLEASE. Would be willing to pay to use a good version, more for a GREAT version.

The previous version of KosherGPS was great. The best feature of it was a nice map layout showing the location of all the restaurants, minyanim, and mikvahs. They removed that feature with the update which really blows. Now it just gives you a list of kosher stores and restaurants based off the distance from your location - which I could just use google for. KosherGPS is kind of useless now, it’s a real shame. MAKE THE KOSHER APP GREAT AGAIN!!

Please bring back the MAP view! KosherGPS used to be a great help in finding kosher eateries near me. The list version isn’t always the most accurate in terms of what’s closest to me and where I need to go. But with a map, one can easily see what’s closest to them according to their preferences.
Please bring back this feature, otherwise KosherGPS isn’t half as useful anymore :(

Nice improvements in the UI, looks very good. However the loss of the map view makes finding restaurants very cumbersome when you want to find a place on a route or you are willing to go out of your way but don’t know the names of the towns where the restaurants are located. In this new version you need to check each restaurant without being able it see where the clusters of restaurants are located so you can decide. Please bring back the map view.

I used KosherGPS to see a map view of all the kosher restaurants to plan a trip. No more map functionality, just a list of places. Please bring back map view capability!

KosherGPS was great when I was able to search the map for locations hence the name GPS, but the new update removed that feature in favor of promoting an ordering system. I wish I didn’t do the update.

Loved the old version so much more than this. The new update for it is not accurate and doesn’t have a map for you to see like the old app.

My number one way to find a kosher restaurant or Shul away from home.

Suggestion if possible to add a feature Wish List to find a kosher restaurant or minyan along a driving route.

This is a relatively useless all without the map view. Do the coding! Do the work! Bring it back!

I use KosherGPS very often and I find it extremely useful and clear. Descriptions are concise and accurate. Information is updated regularly.

I have used KosherGPS for years; wherever I am, it helps me find a kosher place to eat. Wouldn’t leave home within it!!

I travel a lot and KosherGPS has literally saved me so many times from being stuck without food (and just eating pretzels and soda for dinner). Yitzie updates KosherGPS all the time, as well as takes the suggestions and keeps things organized to make it easier for the user.

I do not work for KosherGPS but strongly hope everyone donates to KosherGPS for the upgrades to allow him to help us continue finding and keeping kosher on the road!

Makes finding kosher places so easy

As a business traveler I can always find out where the nearest kosher restaurant is anywhere in the US. It’s great to know not only what restaurants are in town but how far they are in order of distance. I have been using KosherGPS for a few years and would not travel without it.

It’s always a great relief to be able to find Kosher food when we are away from home

KosherGPS has been a lifesaver. Not only does it locate all kosher food by distance anywhere you are, but it comes with reviews and some places even give you discounts just by finding them through KosherGPS ! Don’t know what I did before finding this but I’m sure glad have it now.

Use it on all our big travels. Very accurate. Exactly what every Kosher traveler needs to bring along.
