App crashes after latest update

2022-05-30

Worked great in the past but now after the last update WISERResponse crashes when searching the database.

Crashes

Crashes when searching known substances

Missing many substances

2022-08-01

It's a great app in terms of layout and function. BUT...it is missing a number of substances. For sheer curiosity's sake I just ran four numbers I see on containers at a truck stock...and not one of them came up. I could find them all via Google. Without a comprehensive and complete database, I have to wonder what the point is.

Awesome but needs device optimizations

2022-09-02

WISERResponse is awesome. Works great. Haven't yet noticed any bugs. But PLEASE optimize the layout for the larger screens of the 4.7" iPhone 6, 5.5" iPhone 6 Plus and the new 12.9" iPad Pro. It would make it easier to see more info on a big screen compared to the current iPhone 5, 4" layout. A lot of wasted screen real estate.

Wiser

I’ve had to eliminate as WISERResponse does not function correctly due to categories overlapping thus making reading the content extremely challenging and too difficult utilize during incident response.

Great app but...

Love WISERResponse . Recently noticed it crashes when selecting Search Known Substances on iOS. Would give 5 Star if that was fixed. Could’ve used it today on a hazmat training

Great app missing one thing

2022-12-06

Great app has helped me alot but since i have become a rapid responder would greatly help if there was a direct placard search

Making a good thing better

I would like to see you guys add odor thresholds, OT, and the Emergency Response Planning Guides (ERPGs) to the list of databases supported. OTs help estimate concentrations; ERPGs aid in deciding whether to evacuate or shelter in place. One of the pictures you have to describe WISERResponse is that of a chest x-ray; I can't seem to find the imagery in WISERResponse (maybe you guys removed it, if so put it back). If it's in WISERResponse , I think it should be accessible in the medical folder. Finally I would like to see WISERResponse support sending app documents either to an email address, a shared printer, or a printer that supports bonjour. Not everyone has a iPhone; but I see a need to quickly communicate app data to others. Keep up the good work. M.Marcus

Much easier for me to use than MSDS. Each topic is separate and easy to get to. It answers lots of questions quickly. Great app.

Great app

I have been waiting for it to come out for apple. Great resource! Would like to see some more of the computer versions info added. For example the unknown substance look up, maping of evacuation areas and placard examples. For the first
release of WISERResponse, great job! Much better than ones you pay for. If you work in an area with large or small factories that use chemicals, a great resource to have at your disposal.

ISO 11

Crash’s when going to search mode since update

Great app

2023-05-11

I use & demonstrate WISERResponse for user and responder training as well as developing comprehensive responses. It is a great tool and more convenient than carrying around a laptop. I concur with other comments. Updates can include more chemicals, responses to mixtures, & expanded search menus.

Great Program!

2023-06-11

WISERResponse will make tech/ref so much easier. The ease of navigating this program is great and very intuative. Thanks for a great tool for responders. Well done!!!

A handy tool

2023-07-13

Love WISERResponse! Great for when I'm driving down the road. It would be cool if they had the protective distance map like they provide on the pc version.

Amazing must get!!

2023-08-13

The tools that are packed in WISERResponse are so amazing and is worth installing.

Great - time for an update

2023-09-14

What is on WISERResponse is great. What a tool to have for free!! When is the 2012 Erg going to be included? I also have found several chemicals missing I had to get my info from other sources.

Great Information

2023-10-16

I received the WISER email last night about WISERResponse and downloaded it right away. I've went through several parts of the application, not sure if I have found everything yet, but so far it is great. If you have yet to download, don't hesitate, you can find information easily with the sub headings (great job here) and then really drill down into the detailed information needed to maintain safety and provide proper care. Great App!

Tremendous resource

2023-11-16

This by far is the best app out there for Haz-Mat personnel. Large database, clear and well laid out. Like other WISER products, a must have for anyone in this field. I would like to have the ability to link externally to the web from the product descriptions to gather more information on the web. I think future versions would benifit from that. As a HM specialist, I use MSDS and other info available on the web to obtain more detailed data like chemical properties and advanced mitigation.

Could the wiser app replace the need for a paper ERG?

2023-12-18

I am curious if I could use WISERResponse to replace the book version of the ERG?
Thanks

Very useful application for first responders

2024-11-16

Its combination of identification of materials, hazards of those materials, and immediate prediction ability for downwind hazards, allows even a very minimally trained person to react logically to a situation and keep people safe.

Features

WISER (Wireless Information System for Emergency Responders) is a mobile application designed to assist first responders in hazardous material incidents.

They need accurate information about the hazardous substances, the emergency resources available, and the surrounding environmental conditions to save lives and minimize the impact on the environment and physical property.

The WISER application extracts content from PubChem, an authoritative, peer-reviewed information resource maintained by the National Library of Medicine, and places that information into the hands of those who need it most.

* User Profiles enable users to specify the role they are currently playing at the scene of an incident: first responder, HAZMAT specialist, EMS specialist, hospital provider, or preparedness planner.

* Mobile support, providing first responders critical information where they need it, when they need it.

First responders in general, and HAZMAT units in particular, must make many decisions quickly in handling hazardous-materials incidents.

The key information presented to the user about a substance varies depending on this role, so that the information most relevant to the respective job can be quickly accessed.
