Open app, connect to provider, make a call, hang up, try to watch a video or record one or scroll through a list and you will see a stutter and lag. Force close SessionTalkSIPSoftphone and those things will go away. Took me a while to figure out it was SessionTalkSIPSoftphone causing all the problems on my phone.

I have an iPhone 11 with the 14.5 iOS.
SessionTalkSIPSoftphone has been crashing on 13-14 iOS as well. It won’t answer most calls and has often issues dialing out.

Unable to copy and paste phone numbers without problems. Have to manually enter the # almost every time.

On fresh install, the UI does not actually respond to touch actions. Tapping in a field to configure a Generic SIP account fails to activate the field. For me, SessionTalkSIPSoftphone is unusable on iPad.

On iPhone, SessionTalkSIPSoftphone works basically fine.

But on both devices the UI is brittle, buggy, and not polished.

This is a very good SIP app but has one VERY SERIOUS shortcoming that could be easily fixed.

The font on the keypad is an extremely light shade of gray against a white background. It’s extremely difficult to see when used in daylight or sunlight. Should have high contrast and s black background with bright white characters.

With this fix, this would be a great app.

I'm not receiving any missed call notifications. I can watch the phone ring, ignore it, and it will go away without any notification telling me that I missed a phone call. The only way I will know is by opening the phone app and there I will see a missed call.

Everything else is working fine, but this feature being broken is a deal breaker for me until it's fixed.

When my network carrier used ipv4, SessionTalkSIPSoftphone was hands down the best.

Once my carrier switched to ipv6, SessionTalkSIPSoftphone failed to work. With my experience, particularly, audio fails in ipv6.

Please fix this so I could amend the rating to 5 stars again. Thanks, I support this company 100%.

A weird issue when locking my IPhone now with the recent update. SessionTalkSIPSoftphone will shut off and not run until you unlock your phone and go back to SessionTalkSIPSoftphone . It didn’t use to do that and is kinda frustrating.

Otherwise, SessionTalkSIPSoftphone works great for when I need to take calls on the road for IT help!

Having tried multiple clients I decided to stick with this one for its simplicity to use and reliability.
Shortcomings are: limited set of codecs and the inability to disable configured SIP accounts. So if you have configured multiple SIP accounts, all will register with the respective service and be listening to incoming call notifications. However, only the one that is "checked" will be used for outgoing calls.

Two improvements should be high on the list: explicit IPAD support and Video calling.

This has every feature that one could need except scheduled DND. Many others offer it, but even so this works GREAT!

I have an account that allows one connection so I tried adding it on Sessiontalk in case my hardphone stopped working. It’s disabled under accounts but I noticed it’s messing with my hardphone’s connection so I had to remove it. If it’s disabled it shouldn’t try connecting at all.

It does not stay connected to Bluetooth at the start of every call you have to pick the Bluetooth device. This is the softwares only drawback. It is defiantly easier to use than any other SIP phone

SessionTalkSIPSoftphone works better than Bria! Which is a paid and expensive app. This works in background with no problems. I am able to use other apps and no disconnects. This is great! Thank you so much!

I missed several calls for my business because it was not online at all times in the background

Simple to configure and simple to use. Works great and clear voice . I bought the premiering features and looking forward to test the push !

Bria is expensive and not keeping their words. I got premium features with Bria but they changed the plan to monthly charges. They should have continued grand fathered option. This phone way better than Bria no doubt. Glad I found it

I have been waiting for perfect VOIP since long, and luckily I found this. It's a very high performance app. Call quality is amazing. This is certainly top in class.

SessionTalkSIPSoftphone doesn’t work after i update my iPhone to version 15.6

Without SessionTalkSIPSoftphone, my phone would not be complete. So happy to found this, it has made my life so much easier.

An example of how every useful app should be! It's meaningful usable helps me always when needed. Highly recommend.
