Music is Very glitchy, when I hit skip it skips 3-5 songs and the same way when I replay but this only happens when lock screen is activated, also the now playing disappears when I open a folder! Would appreciate if you can work on fixing those I use this all the time and I love Files it’s a great app! Besides that I love the layout! And the dark theme but that’s all I’m having problems with is with music so please if you can fix that! I mainly use that and I would greatly appreciate that! Thank you!

Hian, I’ve been using Files for years and was beyond delighted to see an update for this today. The update fixes the crash issue that was introduced with iOS 13. I am now able to save webpages again which was one of my primary uses. It seems now however that you took out the ability to set mime types. This was instrumental in the functionality so now the download option for a lot of file types is now broken and thus unable to be saved. I’m not sure what would have led you to this decision, but I implore you to add it back. If this were implemented again your app could easily be the best download manager on Files Store. My last suggestion would be to add an alphabetical scroll option to the this app view. Thank you again for your work, I look forward to future improvements.

This is my favorite app!!! I always no matter the case have given five stars, but it has been too long of a wait for an update & now that you have updated it twice in a week & 1/2... It has left Files as USELESS! as it was before you updated it!!! The Setting are missing everything! Private Browsing, Identify Browser As, MIME Types, Backups & Install Safari Bookmarklet!!!!!!! I wrote a review with the first update about the missing settings & was delighted to see that it was an update rather fast to fix what was missing. I was very disappointed to find nothing was fixed! Hopefully you will see this review and will fix the problems I have mentioned... Again this is my favorite app!!! & I’m only rating it low with the hopes of you reading this review and fixing the problems! Thank You!

Glad the developer took comments seriously and addressed their previous update that sent Files into a tailspin of crashes. Great improvements to the UI, helpful to save tons of diverse content this app for easy storage and retrieval. Would only be better if made accessible to iPhone’s this app App to facilitate transfer to a thumb drive.

Twice I’ve had a bug make me look at the other downloader programs out there and realize none is as good as this one for downloading and organizing content, easy playback et al.

Have been fairly happy with Files for years. iPhone updates have glitched it in the past , but of recent it’s been good. Got a little upset when I thought it wasn’t going to transfer to my new phone without purchasing it again, or even yearly or monthly fees for a pro version, but I was wrong. Right now I’m very pleased with how Files performs.

Just use mp3juices or some other mp3 download site and you can listen to 7 songs offline. Unless you buy the premium version, you're limited to 7 songs but its still good. Ive used Files for years and its great, Im buying the full version when I can get a job and money, then I can have all of the songss

So Files has been around for some years now. The original option was the free version which provided limited downloads. Or you was able to purchase Files for unlimited downloads. I purchased Files , and am now unable to make any present downloads because there is now a monthly plan, which was never the case. So now after actually purchasing the download for unlimited downloads, i can not download anything anymore unless i make monthly or yearly payments.

I have the paid version. I cannot find where it downloads to. Where. I cannot even find where to change it. Now I have about 100 downloads lost on my device.
If it’s the downloads folder then Files does not work. I already checked there.

I’ve been using this other browser downloader for awhile and stopped doing the download prompt when a video plays.

Found this one and worked right away using a Twitter downloader in browser saving the video right to camera roll! Ty. :)

I’ve bought the full version last time and now with the update Files is making me purchase a monthly or a yearly subscription. That’s quite not fair!
Hopefully the developer can send out another update and make Files more useful

It’s a good app been using for years but why am I not able to drag songs in the order I want them to be in, instead have to put them in numbers, also the “make playlist” feature shouldn’t show the displayed name of the order it’s in (05 (song)) instead, it should be the actual title of the song. Really frustrating because it’s hard to rearrange my plalist

I’ve been using the this app app for over 5 years strong and I love it!

I literally use it to store my music. I have different folders with titles from different projects I’ve created, production from different producers who send me instrumentals & it’s been extremely useful to stay organize when it comes to my projects! I’ve told other musicians about Files and they also take advantage of the options Files has to offer.

Hopefully it’s as great for you as it is for me and my colleagues!

Every time I open an image it crashes Files every single time, please fix, it happen after the new update

I spent $5 on Files for unlimited downloads and everything was great. Now there is a subscription for it now so it is not great. Literally, could at least told your previously paid users about it but instead just take our $5 and ask for more money on top of that. being greedy is what kills apps. Not worth subscription at all. I cannot recommend Files to anyone. There are plenty of others that can do the same with one time payment.

Sir is there anyway you could give the new app a way to get pictures from the old app? I have pictures saved on the old app that I no longer have access to

I watch all of my movies and shows that I load on to Files and with iOS 14 Files would be absolutely needed for anyone and everyone. Please add Picture in Picture🙏

Files switched to a subscription model and nullified previous purchases. I bought pro before, several times. Instead of improving Files the creator decides to just be greedy and lazy. Shame, app was great for a long time. I suggest you look at other apps as many more provide much more content, utilities, and justifiable purchases that factor in previous agreements.

This was my favorite app I downloaded all my music and didn’t need any Wi-Fi or data to play once it was downloaded. Just recently went to downloaded more musics and it’s a crap show. I emailed the developer no responses. I did notice he now has an annual fee and monthly which I am so cool with the only reason I haven’t purchased is I am unable to download music now under the free version. So I am nervous to pay if nothing comes of it.

Adding a monthly subscription is a bad idea. Files was better when you paid the one time upgrade. And for everyone who believed in Files for years not to be grandfathered in , is also not good. Downloading should be what it was before. If you want to add a subscription, it should be for additional items/support/patreon/discord links. Why would you ruin a great app?

Can’t open Files at all after recent update. This is bothersome because I enjoy using Files. Hopefully a fix will come soon !

Honestly, Files itself.. It’s amazing. I’ve been using it for countless years now. However, it seems like now Files can’t even handle the task it was made for. I go to download a simple audio file and every time i do Files crashes. Before it would just cancel the download and i’d have to find another way to get it onto Files .
Now it’s come to a point where Files won’t even load. I’ll try to start it up and it crashes every time. Restarting my phone does nothing, recovery mode does nothing,.... i’ve tried multiple solutions. the only one that has worked is saving my data to my computer, deleting and reinstalling Files , and placing all the this app back into Files .. That’s honestly too much work to say that I’ve never had this problem before. Now I don’t know if it’s because of the new iPhone updates, but honestly can’t blame them for always updating their products. I RARELY see updates from Files. Overall, great app but as of right now it’s not as usable as it once was due lack of updating for compatibility to the new IOS updates.

Files does exactly what I need it to do which is download audio and video this app. As far as the developer getting rid of his old app (downloads) and coming up with this new one is fine by me. There were probably too many problems with trying to get the old app to work with the new iOS. So sometimes it’s just easier to make a new app. And come on the guy made another app so what if he charges to upgrade it again, are these people on here that hard up for $5 (we all got bills to pay). I enjoy using Files so therefore I have no problem paying again. Go ahead and try to find another app that’s better then this one.

I love Files. I used its precursor, Downloads, and it was just as useful. I mainly use it, like the other reviewers, to download music to listen to offline as well as various other this app. I have used this particular app every day for over two years and have had no problems.

The developer is very slow, however, at keeping Files updated and making it available for newer software updates and fixing bugs. Hopefully he reads these reviews and becomes interested in updating Files . I have had no issues, but with the new phones releasing this week I expect Files not to work with those phones.

I have never written a review before but Files is my all time favorite. I used it when it was the original downloads app. I didn’t realize this one was as good until I messed with the options and turned video and audio from open to ask. Once you do that, you can press on something like a SoundCloud song and download it. I’ve been using the original app for years before updating my phone. 5 dollars is the least I can do. Any other app has ads and doesn’t work as good. Files is a life saver and light years ahead of any other app like it😃

I have Files since I had the iphone 4 until now that I have the iphone 6s+ and Files was working excellent until a few days ago I updated my iphone software to IOS 13.1.3 and now Files crash when trying to download a document, a song or a video, something Files could do before updating my iphone to IOS 13.1.3.
I hope the developers can do something to solve this problem an Files works 100% as it was before, otherwise is the best app.

When I first downloaded Files, two years ago, it solved an annoying problem. It has been working less successfully for me over the years. And with this latest update it’s now completely useless. I used to be able to have 5 downloads without having to upgrade to the $5!!!!!! Premium version. I would pay $2 but not more. And now since I upgraded to the latest I can only have one download.

Making matters worse the last three downloads I tried just played the media and never downloaded the this app - which is the singular purpose of Files . So there is no point in getting ripped off for $5 because it doesn’t download the media anyway.

I have been using Files since it was known as Downloads Lite (and Downloads), and I loved Files since. From way back when we could download MP4's to now. I used this as a USB for school as a file storage & transfer system. Files was the simplest and most user friendly in 2011 and still is in 2019. Would recommend Files to anyone and is well worth the $5 to upgrade to the premium

I love using Files to download music and listening to it offline. The only problem I have is that you have to pay for unlimited storage. I remember seeing that the full version was only $2.99 for a limited time but then changed back to $4.99. I was wondering when the price was going to go back to $2.99. Once again, thank you for the great app and hope that you read this.

I really hope you are alive and well wherever you may be. Sometimes our demands are inconsiderate and we never take the time out to figure out if our developers and their families are okay. I have have used all your apps over the years and will love to continue doing so. I hope you find the time and motivation to create more iOS apps that allows users to have true freedom

I love Files! Files is where I download my electronic music festival sets I loved how easy it was to download. Those are the ones I use to workout but now that it is not compatible with iOS 13 I am not able to download the new current sets. Files was amazing but now it crashes on me every-time I try to download. I hope this gets fixed soon.

Got the free version of Files . Payed the 5$ for the unlimited storage and ad free, and probably the best in app purchase I’ve made on the iTunes Store. I use Files everyday to save PDF’s, watch downloaded videos, play music offline, and better yet has a streamlined way to transfer this app directly to and from a computer. Perfect app, 10/10 would use again.

I had downloaded and purchased it. When Apple made you update to 10 Files would no longer work and I lost all my downloads (about 100 gig) Files was replaced with this file downloaded and it stinks! Besides just being a private browser it only downloads the “link”. There is no more downloading to my phone. What gives? If it doesn’t work anymore like the one I purchased I really wish you would refund my money. Would also be nice if you responded to my email I sent tech support. Too bad theirs not a minus star. Very upset.

I use Files as a producer it’s an easy place to store beats I need to send to people once they purchase or lease them I love Files but it Needs iOS 13 compatibility it won’t let me open or download anything and I download a lot of mp3s and videos from my email and it has crashed every time I tried since I’ve gotten my 11 pro max on iOS 13

I had used the previous downloads app for years, and was excited to learn about this one. However, I don’t believe the creators of Files have updated it to run along with IOS 13 or later. It no longer works, but when it did it was phenomenal.
