Rate My Professors Reviews

I cannot even log into RateMyProfessors . I’ve tried before, forgot I had, and re-downloaded it again with the same problem. I try to log in with my email and password and a loading circle shows up, loads for about an hour without actually doing anything. I try to log in with Facebook and an error message pops up, as well as when I try to log in with a google account. I have to go to the website to look at anything or even log in, and when I do I can’t edit my profile at all because it refuses to save no matter how many times I log out, refresh the page, or turn off my phone and turn it on. The problem is still the same. There isn’t even a tech support team to call, just an email system. Horrible app and website, as well as customer service and IT support

I mean RateMyProfessors would be so great if it actually worked...i have three different email addresses & i can’t even sign up because apparently “this email address already exists with an account” so how that is possible?? I don’t know. I try logging in with my email that apparently already has an account and try to reset any password but can’t do that either because it just loads and loads and never does anything else. So the fact that i can’t even sign up to register for RateMyProfessors is really disappointing. Would’ve been so helpful but this has been a waste of my time trying to turn my phone off and using multiple emails to try and register.

I wrote three reviews a couple weeks ago. All of which were fair, respectful, honest, and detailed. I went back on there today and noticed that all of them had been changed/edited in some way. There were even punctuation errors with the revisions that were made. I can’t help but wonder if any of the reviews on Rate My Professor have full merit. It’s concerning that this is the case, especially because students relay on this as a resource for expensive educational decisions... very disappointing and unfortunate.

Useless if you try to add reviews for the prof you took. I tried to add reviews for all my profs for the last two semester some of them weren't on the system I submitted request to add them at least twice the result is not successful they don't bother to add them. For the one who are already in the system they do not post the reviews i wrote reviews for 4 of the profs and non of them show up on the reviews and comments. I checked my email it is verified. I submitted the reviews couple times and they don't publish it at all. I just gave up and deleted RateMyProfessors .

RateMyProfessors has saved me from many instructors. It is very helpful when you are sure who to take. I wouldn’t give it 5 stars because they do change your comments. They ratings arent always 100% accurate because they do edit them. They have some from that don’t have any reviews since 2015 but i know people have reviewed them so that’s frustrating. I could also use a little more room for some comments. I would like to explain myself but I cant with such little room. I would also think a new feature should show how large the workload is. I have had 1 hour classes that took more time that a 4 hour class, it would be nice to be able to see this when you are making your schedule. The teacher might be awesome but if they pack on the work, I would like to know so I can adjust my schedule accordingly. I really like RateMyProfessors/website but there are some issues. Take the ratings with a grain of salt.

Rate My Prof has saved me quite a bit of grief over time and comes highly recommended by me.

My one complaint is that I take classes at both a university and a community college, and yet RateMyProfessors doesn’t just let me choose two schools. You choose one school to apply to your account so that whenever you use the search feature it automatically searches only profs at that university. Instead, I have to keep going to settings to find the other of the two schools I attend so that I can actually see it’s teachers. Not a biggy, but it could be simpler.

The idea behind this is brilliant. The site is a bit better than RateMyProfessors (hence the 4 stars). I feel as though RateMyProfessors could be easier to navigate. Though keep up the good work guys. I had a horrible teacher this semester and I made sure to rate her so others after me don't make the same mistake I did. I also made sure to rate my good professors, fair is fair.

My first semester of college where I didn't pick my own professors was horrible, I struggled in some classes. I barely some of them and only got A's in those I were already knowledgeable of, but RateMyProfessors fixed that. For two semesters straight I got all A's. I probably wouldn't have my 3.8 GP a without RateMyProfessors.

I usually don't write any reviews, but for RateMyProfessors, I must! RateMyProfessors is an absolute essential in any college student's arsenal. I have avoided so many bad professors with RateMyProfessors. I must add that students really should spend 2 minutes and write more reviews so others like I don't have to rely on 4 year old reviews.

RateMyProfessors is great! I use it religiously each semester when registering for classes. There are certain things I look for and want to avoid in professors, so RateMyProfessors helps me narrow down to who I want to take! I wish that EVERY college student knew about this and left reviews. It would help everybody so much

Every semester, I go to rate my professor to make sure that I'm getting the best professor possible. Its almost always correct. And once you're done, you can rate them yourself to make sure that other people do or don't go through what you did. Definitely worth having!

I think RateMyProfessors is completely amazing. It’s so nice to see an app where students can rate professors and give feedback and answers that a typical guidance counselor/google search could not give. I’ve written and read reviews on here and absolutely love the simple and easy-to-use interface.

I just switched all of my classes around after i heard about RateMyProfessors. When i was searching them, almost all of the classes i chose were super hard professors. Im so glad that I heard about it in time. Truly a college students life saver!

This helps out a lot with determining who to take and who not to take if you are new to a college or even if you are not it still helps because you have multiple perspectives and have a good idea of who the prof is before you even get into class. Thank you for making RateMyProfessors!

I heard about the website awhile ago and decided to download RateMyProfessors . It's so convenient and when i search common teachers in my major they show up. I get to figure out if I should choose that teacher and if they use the book in their class. It's so amazing to use and I never have problems with RateMyProfessors .

definitely a MUST HAVE APP IF YOU ARE IN COLLEGE. every time i am done a semester i always add the professors i have had or rate the ones i have had so people know what to expect. its such a blessing to have RateMyProfessors. everyone wants to know what the professor is like BEFORE THEY CHOOSE THEM. i use RateMyProfessors all the time. totally worth it. just always update RateMyProfessors & add your professors good or bad.

In high school, when you had horrible teachers you just had to grin and bare it. But into college you have the chance to build your own schedule and choose which sections of a course you want to take. Make sure you find a professor you can tolerate, especially for those pesky required credits.

Honestly I absolutely love RateMyProfessors, I could never schedule my classes without it. If I could give an idea to the creators?...Please create a section or threads where students can ask questions or make opportunities for students to sell their textbooks to students who will be taking the same class! But point blank it’s such a helpful app!

If you use this while you're planning out your schedule for your upcoming semester it can make your experience so much better, you can look up classes you're thinking about taking and find a professor that would be compatible to your learning style and your personality, fantastic app.

Rate my professor is one of the most useful and life saving apps for college students. It's easy design makes it easy for even the freshmen to find out what their professors are like before they actually take the class. And I say lifesaving because if it wasn't for rate my professor I would've been stuck with a professor that would've raised my stress levels even higher that what they become during the semester. Therefore I love RateMyProfessors.
