Still the best for LAN streaming coupled with a super powerful player sporting tons of features that positively crushes VLC and any other wannabe substitute. My only asks is a greedy one - SMB file manipulation as is available in the Files application. I typically download videos, compile a playlist, then delete the videos when finished. Have to switch applications to delete or otherwise rename/move files. This desire does not in any way affect my appreciation for this application, though. My 2¢ for how it can achieve glistening perfection, which it nearly has. Developers should be proud.

I tried a bunch, spent too much money until I found this app! I like the interface the way it works and the features.

One thing I can’t seem to find though, and I’m probably just missing it, is the option to just stop playing after a video ends. I would like it to just end after videos are done instead of going into the next one. I get that for songs though so I see why it does it.

Like you, I've tried them all. New apps are released, I give them a shot as well.

Nothing compares to the ease, consistency, and wide range of features and settings that this app has.

It's the best comprehensive media player for iOS, period. Pay the few bucks anually for the full range of features and it's even better.

I use this app a lot! I like the fact OPlayer can open practically any video/audio file, The interface is awesome! And set up individual file folders, vlc you can't, you can control the speed of an audio file, as what I do when I'm listening to lectures, and much more.

This program can do almost everything. But there are students out here that watch documentaries for studying that could benefit from a video player that allows you to make bookmarks and name them. This would make your program more than an entertainment program. Having this ability makes it useful for every student that studies documentaries.

I have tested out 48 different players. This is the best, but it has a flaw. I need it full screen, but it doesn’t remember this setting, so every time I start OPlayer I have to set the video to full screen again. Please allow us in settings to make this feature permanent for all videos, always.

For some reason, certain downloads will continue and say “Downloaded Successfully.” But then when I go to it, it downloaded nothing leaving only just the file without anything. It’s really frustrating! Again it’s only for certain videos no matter the length or size.

It’s the best video player app I can find so far. The only feature missing is the video zoom. I wish I could zoom the video like the iPhone’s native video player!

I did the same as BD35 tried every video player in app store this is the only one that doesn't require Itunes or a computer to play files already on your device OPlayer can be as simple or as technical as you want BRAVO

Im a musician who uses OP to separate and/or download/save files directly to my “works in progress” folder.
Only q i have is... how to send/forward my music files saved in OP...
Any updates coming that would allow this?

I am keep selecting all and deleting all clips by accident. Because the select all button right next to the delete button. Please put it on the other side it at the top!
I also wish if there is a audio pitch shift option, then it will be the ultimate app! Good luck!

Ive been using this video player to play mostly mp4s I downloaded and it just works. I have several multi-file shows and some movies and I’m able to organize it fairly well. I’m very satisfied with OPlayer.

Still a solid video player. Highly recommended.

this app added a fix to the one thing that I had been wishing it had, and that was the ability to add dark background to subtitles. Now that they added this very helpful feature, I really everything I want it to be. The best!

this has played everything i’ve thrown at it! love that is can stream from my other computer. and it had the best UI when actually watching videos.

The player has many capabilities for playing audio and video files in the foreground and background

It is a great and works better than all other options I have bought before.

The Apple TV version has a major flaw : you can't read the folder names because of their length and they are not in alphabetical order

Works great and the add-ons I’ve bought have been worth it. I really like the controls for brightness and volume and I hope Apple will follow suit.

This is great app for airplane travel, when there is no WiFi available. Recommended because it can play many different formats with access to music and data files too.

It’s the best app for playing videos. However, Whenever I download dubbed audio movies, I am able to play just one of them. In other words, in the audio+subtitle dubbed menu only audio 1 is shown.

Does NOT support background audio when iPhone is turned off. It WILL shut off when auto-lock kicks in. I emailed the developer but they don't recognize the problem or offer a fix. If this feature is important to you, then look elsewhere. For instance if you want to use OPlayer as a music archive them you will be disappointed.

After corresponding with the developer and giving up, I just use the free Box app for my music files and use the "make offline" feature so I don't need an internet connection. That app works perfectly in the background.

I hv used both the iPhone and Ipad versions since 2012 and loved it as it supports multiple video formats (would give it 5 stars back then). But lately it has asked customer to pay for avi conversion which is a non-starter and has prompted me to look for alternate players. Now nPlayer and AVPlayer are my favorites with more features (like chrome cast).
Shows that if u don't innovate you will get relegated.

This video player has been amazing - until an hour ago, and I can’t tell what happened. Where are my menus that allow me to change the playback speed and use the functionality built into the video, like choosing different tracks and turning voices off? If you can help me, I really want to give this five stars!

I have used OPlayer for years, and from time to time tried many other video players. Finally I feel very comfortable to write this review to give a five stars rating, to share my wonderful experience with others.

It is Simple! It is the Best!
