I was so excited to use HealthyRecipes to calculate nutritional information for some of the home recipes I have but I was severely disappointed. I’ve tried two recipes and they both failed - i had to exit out of HealthyRecipes for a second on one and when I went back it said error retrieving info and lost everything I put in. The second one I got through everything, it asked me to pick a category but wouldn’t accept anything other than “dessert” got to the part to take a pic and it exited HealthyRecipes . I decided to take a pic to upload and when I went back in it had lost everything I’d done. Needless to say I’m beyond frustrated and won’t be wasting time putting all the info back in.

Downloaded and browsed HealthyRecipes so far, lots of delicious looking healthy recipes, multiple ways to browse, and a helpful shopping cart function. HOWEVER. HealthyRecipes does not tell you how many servings a recipe makes. It shows you nutritional facts per serving, sure, but not how many servings per recipe. Which makes the nutritional facts pointless. Now, I looked at the website version, which DOES say number of servings. How hard is it to replicate this in HealthyRecipes ?? Regret to rate this 2 stars when it could have been a 5 star app. Might update my review if they fix this issue.

HealthyRecipes should not market itself as a health app, yet let people eat 60% more calories than they think they’re eating.
Most of the time, the recipes do not say how many servings the dish makes, but they do include a calorie count per serving (whatever that is).
I was suspicious and finally found a bbq chicken sandwich recipe that made 6 sandwiches and listed “200 calories per serving”
A generic recipe, I calculated the actual calories per sandwich (on the low end): 325 calories. Can you imagine if everyday you were eating 60% more calories than you thought you were?

It’s a great app for calculating nutrition information in recipes. The ingredient database is extensive, and easy to add specific ingredients that aren’t there.
But on my iPhone 11, the block for adding the recipe name is far left on my screen. I can only see 1 letter. Also, on the optional info page, to select the course, it skips ahead about 5 options when I tap Done or Next. Then it gets stuck and won’t come out of that, so I can’t save the recipe. Re-entered recipe twice, finally skipping the optional entries altogether.

I love HealthyRecipes . I have found some of my best recipes on HealthyRecipes. But the ads are over powering. Now when I try to look at a recipe the ads pop up and I can’t see the recipe. As fast as you clear them off another one comes up. That is crazy, it has turned into all ads. What happened to being able to look at recipes. Very disappointing, it was not this bad when I first download HealthyRecipes a couple of years ago.

When I can open HealthyRecipes I love the recipes I've tried. But, I have to open HealthyRecipes several times before it stays open. Also, I can be scrolling through recipes at the start of HealthyRecipes then it refreshes automatically which causes the the suggested recipes to change. That's frustrating because I'm often interested in what I'm currently looking at. Perhaps it shouldn't refresh automatically. Thx

HealthyRecipes has tons of good recipes. However I can’t get past some of the ads freeze up HealthyRecipes so you have to completely shut down HealthyRecipes and reopen. Plus sometimes while you are scrolling the menu it randomly refreshes and moves items around some recipes never to be seen again. Im deleting this and have to find a more usable app.

I love how easy it is to find recipes and customize them based on dietary needs/goals. Only problem is it crashes on launch fairly often, so trying to use it reliably is difficult. I often find myself having to restart my phone to be able to open HealthyRecipes . Needs a bug fix

I really like HealthyRecipes. I use it ALL the time. However, once you put a recipe in your favorites you cannot get rid of it. There have been a few recipes that I just wanted to delete and although you can swipe left it shows a delete but when you push it, it DOES NOT get rid of that recipe.

Have to give four stars because, as previously reviewed, number of servings is rarely available making nutritional facts per serving useless. But everything else is exactly what I need. Use HealthyRecipes all the time. I usually have to work backward and calculate the nutrition myself to calculate servings.

I am diabetic and there’s just me to fix for so I’m always looking for different ideas for meals and also for low-carb recipes. I love making international recipes especially Thai and Korean food. I know that it’s difficult to gauge how much a portion might be and so the nutrition information may not be strictly correct but I can still get an idea or estimate the amount of carbs and I get an idea of how much fiber there is. I get so much joy and pleasure over pouring through the recipes looking at the photos and thinking about different recipes that I want to try I don’t have a wireless printer so I can’t print out any recipes but the ones that I really think I want to make I put in my favorites and then I write down the name of the recipe that I think I want to make soon. I just have so much fun with HealthyRecipes I think it’s absolutely great thank you to the developers!

I love the recipes and the ability to search or organize by dietary needs. The nutritional information is invaluable in the case where my wife has the onset of kidney disease and needs to limit her salt, potassium and protein intake and I have to control t The recipes my blood sugars. The BUT occurs because 1) it often takes 2-3 tries before HealthyRecipes stabilizes and 2) I have yet to find a way to print the recipes i am using. If I could print them, I would be a very happy home chef. 👩🍳

I love HealthyRecipes & many options to choose from however there are constant apps popping while using HealthyRecipes and I sometimes can’t exit out of the pop up and forces me to get out of HealthyRecipes completely. It’s becoming an inconvenience. Other than I would like to see additional food diversity from other cultures as well. But nice app, easy to navigate.

I haven’t used HealthyRecipes enough to give fair evaluation for the menus, however, my 5 star rating is due to the ‘calorie badges’ that appear at the corner of each dish. So far this is the only app I’ve seen that does this, and I am counting calories so this is an added bonus for me while searching for a dish to prepare. KUDOS to the badges.

I really enjoy HealthyRecipes. It’s easy to search up recipes and I love the ability to save to favorites. My husband has a wonderful garden and this gives me great ideas and ways to fix the produce that he brings into the house. I will definitely be telling others about HealthyRecipes.
