The pros: seems well written, doesn't crash, good load times, etc.

The cons: boring gameplay and all of the treasures that I have detected are clearly bots or automatic spawns. Boring graphical design and mediocre artwork. (Is this clip art?)

In short... I buried all my treasures and then deleted TravelersQuest

It sounded like geocaching which is way better and if you want to treasure hunt, then geocaching is the best scavenger hunt. This game has no treasure.

What started as a good concept is flawed. The developer is judge and jury it seems. All of the top players cheat or have cheated with gps spoofing. Sometimes your account gets shut down because you're guilty of association? The game has lost its integrity. It's a joke. This is not how a business is run in 2017. Good luck.

First, I like this game a lot - fun and addictive. However, I cannot rate it higher as it is brutally difficult for new players. Experienced players can see your treasures but you can't see theirs until you level up to their bury levels, and that earns you the right to pay high gold values for their maps and/or to disarm their traps.

Many higher level players don't hesitate to sweep in and collect your treasures shortly after you bury them (though there are a few white night mentors out there who are helpful and greatly appreciated). You can spend real world $ to accelerate your leveling up. The other in app purchases are helpful if you can afford the cash.

Bottom line, unless you live in an area isolated from other players or you're willing to spend serious bucks to level up, be prepared to hoard the treasures you find for the long haul or find some way out of the way place with an Internet connection to bury and earn in game gold and hope nobody comes near. I've been playing for almost six months and have a hard time keeping things hidden for more than a few days.

The game support team is fantastic and the Facebook community very helpful. It's where you'll find many of the experienced "white night" players willing to help out and mentor new players.

I'd love to rate the game higher, but it's just too tough to keep a stash buried and progress in the game.

Right away I see the scam. Traveling across the us gives prizes not traveling in your own city

I really enjoy the game and have been on a ship for years burying treasures around the globe. Unfortunately, when I travel and/or my GPS has issues I end up being blocked. Last time I had to write them 3 times before they unblocked me, and now I am blocked again. I had traveled and had returned home when I opened the game and was blocked again. Probably because my GPS had not readjusted to my location as I was not on WiFi. I don’t understand why they haven’t fixed this and why it takes so long to be unblocked. Please help resolve this!

I’ve been playing TQ for almost a year now and I love it. It’s a great way to get outdoors and to travel around the world to find new collections that you never knew existed. The system is cool, the displays of the overall game are amazing, and the satisfaction for finding a new treasure is exhilarating! I travel frequently and I’ve always saved up a lot of treasures to put them all in an exotic place that I’m sure nobody will find. The problem is that it takes so long to drop 100 treasures, and the amount of time to drop a few thousand is exhausting! Please, implement an option where you can drop all of your current treasures or a certain number, specific collections, or them all at once! This will make dropping treasures much faster in times where you don’t have the time to drop 1,000’s of treasures. Please! Thank you!

Never thought I would be riding my mountain bike to some of the most remote locations... legally of course.... to dig up and bury treasures that do not exist so I can earn gold coins that do not exist. It's so much fun! A couple things I would change though. About the game generated treasures. It would be nice to flag them if they were in areas that were impossible to get to. Maybe a game generated treasure getting flagged by three different players and it gets removed? Who's going to venture into area 51 or in my case parts of the Everglades that don't have roads or canals? My list of treasure maps is clogged by game generated treasures that have been there for three years. Also it would be nice to have the option to bury some of my less valuable treasures at lower levels. It might help the new people out. :) Ghost

This game has quickly, and surprisingly, grabbed me by my obsessions and won't let go. The concept is amazingly simple...the (real) world, also has an attached "virtual" world where you can search for, find, and hide "treasure". THAT'S IT!!
So simple, but because of the awesome community and support staff, it's a constantly changing and evolving landscape. The artwork for the virtual treasure is always well done, and the collection items are clever.
The more people in your area, the more diverse your treasures to collect. The game has its own virtual army of treasure hiding "bot's", so there's always something out there for you to find.
The developer is also very personable and interactive on the Facebook channel. It brought me out of my usual introversion on several occasions.

I'm a geocacher and this game is a perfect break from what I love. It can also make for an easy hobby to manage while on the hunt for caches! Digging up a treasure is only a finger tap away, provided you're in range of a nearby treasure. These aren't fake generated treasures, either. I recognize names of people in town and neighbors when I view the treasures...and relish digging up the treasure they buried, where they buried it!

I'm a major cheapskate, which is how I downloaded TravelersQuest in the first place. I figure $5 to upgrade how deep I bury my treasure and how deep I can detect others' treasures is chump change next to a $60 console game. What's even better is this game is fun with other people or alone, and will be a blast long after the more expensive console game had lost that luster.

I have to go now. My neighbor just buried a treasure and must not think my detector will find it that deep...but it will. I think I'll dig it up move it to my own stash, far deeper. I know just the place.

This game keeps getting better and better!! For many of us, TQ is the most-used app on our iPhones. Logging in throughout the day every day to check on progress through the game is great fun. Completing collections, gathering gold, hiding treasures in out of the way places, pillaging others' items around the world are all elements of the game that combine together into a really outstanding experience. It takes a little time to get up and going within the game -- and if you are not willing to get out and travel, then a GPS-based treasure-hunting game is not for you. But if, like me, you love the idea of getting out of your house and finding adventure down roads (paved and unpaved!) around your neighborhood and wherever you travel -- then you can become a dedicated pirate, too! Give it a try (it is now FREE to download), and if it grabs you then you are on your way! WARNING: TQ can be addictive, might lead you into areas of your hometown you never knew existed, and might give you the opportunity to meet other players to trade treasures with from around the world!! It would be nice if the players went into settings and turned on Share Treasure/Traveler History. Someone sold CRR 17 treasures and he has no idea who it was.

We LOVE this game! The concept of treasure hunting is already pretty fun but what makes this game is the community of players (if you download it, definitely join our Facebook community group!) AND the ridiculously creative and equally gorgeous artwork for each collection of treasures!

I’ve been playing this for a long time. 6+ years. Maybe 7. Lost track. That alone says what I think of it. My wife plays, my grandkids play. I’ve gotten to see LOTS of backroads I’d have never seen otherwise. Easy to play, always plenty to help online. GET IT!!!!!

I have been playing since 2010 and have loved it! The game continues to get updates and the support staff is very responsive. My wife and I both play and really have enjoyed it for years. I hope one of the future changes/upgrades is the ability to bury all the treasures that are in the same vault.

This is such a fun app! Particularly if you travel a lot! It's fun when you're going on a road trip to see what new treasures you can find and bring home with you. And how long you keep your treasures buried in different obscure areas. We do this as a family and it's so much fun to share! Also, admin are very responsive and helpful when you have any issues. Try it, you will LOVE it!

This is one of a handful of apps that I’ve had on my phone for any length of time; it has keep me engaged for that long. Great for traveling, although travel isn’t necessary to have a great time with this game. Hunt individually or in teams for fun treasures. Developers respond quickly to any issues and continually improve/update TravelersQuest . TravelersQuest is a keeper for sure! Just FYI; I’ve never reviewed an app before; this is my first time!

Update: This game is still amazing
This is by far the most enjoyable game i have ever played on my iPhone. Most other games get boring after a month or so, but the great community of players, responsiveness of developers, and constant addition of collections has kept me playing strong for over a year now. I highly recommend this game for frequent travelers.
The game does not require you to spend real money, and everything can be purchased with in game gold if you are patient. I personally think the add ins are all worth the couple of bucks each though.
Check out the FB page for the game to learn a ton more. Don't let the few negative reviews sway you, this game is definitely worth a try. But be warned, it is very addictive! :)
