So since you launched your “premium” subscription version of ManchesterEveningNews I lost the ability to swipe between articles nice and quickly. Now I have to read an article and go back to the main feed to read the next one. This is absolute common and best practice for any app and an unbelievable error in user experience.
All so you can accurately see how many articles a reader has viewed so you can limit them and choke them into paying a subscription.
I did pay for premium… and i still can’t swipe. Shocking.
I used to enjoy looking at articles on the Manchester Evening New App. Now, I’m afraid, it’s not worth looking at - only a few news stories and that’s it. I just looked at one article, thinking it was new...and some comments were 95 days old. Also noticed that Bury had just been promoted!!
Version 8.0.2 is awful. The scrolling is labored and slow. Horrible user experience.
ManchesterEveningNews was fine but today, this “upgrade” is garbage. Fix pronto.
The new update didn't fix the persistent crashing issue. I've never seen an app crash so much. You cannot read more than one article without ManchesterEveningNews crashing. You read one article, when you click to go back, Boom ManchesterEveningNews crashes. Plain ridiculous.
Fix it!!
This was my "go to" app for news but the Lyft ads continue to pop up, even after I close them. I've tried to uninstall/reinstall ManchesterEveningNews but it continues to interfere. I don't mind having to sit through a :15 second ad, but when they don't close I can't help but look for my news elsewhere.
In 'more pictures' sequences, the images don't realign when iPhone rotated. And often the images don't capture the subjects' heads.
This is the place to go for Manchester United news. This is the local paper in Manchester, England, so they have great sources and info for MUFC news and stories.
Great app. Give me all the latest news about Manchester City. Although some of the headlines need some work nevertheless I'm satisfied.
Awesome app. Keeps me well informed about my hometown.
