The reason I downloaded BatteryHD was to be notified when battery levels reached an upper level as it charged and a lower level as the battery drained. These features are available in the Settings and the interface to set them are awesome - you can choose VOICE or SOUND to notify you when you reach your preferred upper level which you can set as a percentage battery value (in 5% increments) and also to notify you when a preferred lower level battery % is reached as your battery is drained from regular usage. Unfortunately, it works only when it wants to. Sometimes it does notify you as these levels are reached, sometimes it fails to notify you at all, and at times, it incorrectly notifies you that you have reached a set level even though you haven't (ie. it says you reached a set level of 90% even though you are at 79%). Since this battery level notification feature was the sole reason I downloaded BatteryHD , I decided to delete it from my phone (iphone 6) after a little over a month of daily use with terrible results in this respect. I did not use the other features of BatteryHD so I cannot comment on that.

My sole need from BatteryHD was an alarm that notifies when battery charges up to 80%, and when it discharges to 20%. Part of battery-life preservation routine. It has those settings, however I think it has successfully done it only once. To make sure I was not just missing short notifications, I sat right here with it and watched it charge to go from 74% to 96% without any notification. Perhaps the other functions are helpful to others, so I'm not giving 1 star, but it does not work for my need. Also, when I went to look for a link for feedback/help in BatteryHD itself, I could not find one. A shame.

I bought Pro Version to get away from the insane amount of ads in the free version.
but no - the “ad-free” version isn’t! They still put up banner ads for stuff like bras and panties on bottom of screen. I really don’t want that!
Why do they think that someone looking at phone battery parameters would suddenly want to buy a bra?
I also wanted and expected details like charging current info so I can test for bad/fake/marginal wwllplugs, cables, and 12V adapters. Maybe it’s here but I can’t find it.

I am new to the iOS ecosystem so I'm not familiar with the limitations placed on battery applications but apparently they are pretty extreme - BatteryHD will only reliably provide a battery CHARGING notification if:
1. BatteryHD is in the foreground
2. the screen remains unlocked while BatteryHD is running (there's an option for this in BatteryHD )
Given these two requirements I haven't bothered to try testing the DISCHARGING notification.
Note that in my original review I couldn't get changes to the widget to show up. Turns out there's a bug that prevents the selection marks from showing in Dark Mode (which is my default). Once I turned off Dark Mode I was able to select the items I wanted to see on the widget. The developer has promised to fix this issue in a future update.
There are other things about the application that I think could be improved which account for just a 3 star rating.

It’s obvious the developers have put a LOT of work into BatteryHD. It is very stylish and seems very functional. That being said, I would suggest that for us more technical types, after “calibrating” the phone they should include an updated measure of the battery’s remaining useful life. Specifically, I would like to see it report the milliamperes-hours (mAh) capacity remaining in the battery when at full charge and as compared to what a new battery has. That would make it pretty much the most outstanding killer iPhone battery app out there.

BatteryHD does a very good job of letting you know how much charge you have left quickly and easily. It is very useful In showing you how much time is available for various uses of your iPhone. Ads are a bit annoying; however the banners are small and take up little space. If the “Pro” version does nothing more than remove ads, the $3.99 price seems a bit steep.

The battery life estimates appear to be total guesses, but at least the new version has many nice new features like a chart of battery usage that tells me the battery’s charge level over the course of a day. I’m rating this new version of BatteryHD 4 stars, but I would have given the old version only 2 stars because it had very few features.

I have been using BatteryHD for over a year. iPhones are #1 but there battery display is to small. BatteryHD lets you know where you are at instantly. If you tap it, you will know where the juice is going and can close another app that you didn’t realize was running and wasting power. I could go on, just try it!!!

I only use the free version and I only use it so I can get a Notification for when my battery is fully charged. As long as BatteryHD is running and it's active on the screen while the phone is charging The notification is there and clear enough to let you know the phone is ready. Works exactly as designed!

This is the one to get. It actually runs video and checks websites like Google for an hour or something just ask what your battery can do. Then it’s able to accurately predict how long your battery can do those activities in the future. For example, my phone is at 50% and after the test, it shows that I can do GPS for an hour and a half if I weren’t plugged in. That’s the kind of stuff I need to know. Here’s a nice bonus. It will give you an alarm for Max percentage and charging, and minimum percentage when unplugged. You can sit more than one alarm I have mine set for 80 and 85% with a charging, and 40 and 45%. Some of the other apps charge if you want to sit in the AC minimum alarm. So, BatteryHD is better and also most important features are free. You can still pay for Pro, which is a good idea because the developer is obviously great.

This is a wonder app. The user interface is very nice. It can be customized to monitor (and notify) any number of battery draining and charging functions. The colors can be customized and the widget can be used as background and or wallpaper. Allowing the user to check status at any moment. The verbal notifications are great also. I can’t imagine needing any more than this.

I have tried them all. Some are pretty good. Most aren’t worth downloading. This is a “winner winner chicken dinner”. You always know, at a very brief glance, your battery status, how long it will take until full charge, how long until empty, etc.. These are the most important features of any battery app., and this is the only one that has All of these, and more.

BatteryHD takes care of so much more than just your battery! For a “Lite” app (free) I think it’s perfect! Voice & sound audio alert option, Calibration, Estimation of battery life, & more... I love the vocal update for status of my battery instead of the usual sounds given for alerts. Basically, It works great and with my Iphone& Ipad wonderfully and nice app display. No wondering or worries.

I just installed and used BatteryHD and it worked great. I was able to charge my iPhone fast and easy while watching and reading BatteryHD instructions while my phone was charging. BatteryHD give me updates on the levels of charge the battery was at from start to finish. Took just seconds to setup the way I wanted without any problems. I highly recommend BatteryHD.

Well that much has changed... it was at times just going off for no reason and the longer I’ve use BatteryHD that much has changed as well. I work as a retired person so I can really appreciate putting in money into an app that works before you put money into it that’s what I call a superb app. I just hope that by saying it I don’t ruin it for the next guy. Long live the just app makers. Lord knows the scammers are a dime a dozen.

Give indicator of what’s going on with the battery. Helpful to figure out whether th device is charging when you are having power cord and charger.
Only complaint is that battery picture on the display sometimes is not always showing, but some of the other screen show when all I care about. Then Ihave to close app and reopentodhow battery picture. I don’t care to see the other dianostic screen. Maybe have a setting in preferences so that user can lock app to only show the battery picture to make things simple for users.
Still I use BatteryHD daily on all my devices.

I’m just gonna point one thing out about this 𝐃𝐎𝐏𝐄 App. Let’s just say you’re very familiar with how your phone functions, now depending on how each person uses their phone BatteryHD will send you Tips on how to conserve battery better, extend the life of the phone and battery based on what you use your phone for or how often and and even when you you use it the most. You can adjust setting to conserve the life of the phone and battery.
I absolutely love it my new iPhone 12 Pro Max battery last about 1/3 longer just on the setting adjustments. Try it you’ll be surprised⚡️🔋📲 ⚡️

I just transferred back to iPhone about six months ago after several years with windows phone. I had gotten really spoiled with the live tiles, and was delighted to discover that iPhone now has widgets. I decided about a month ago that I wanted a battery widget because I missed my live tile so much. So I downloaded a few, picked the nicest looking, and paid for the upgrade. Not only did it not work as advertised, but I never got a response from the developers! So a couple of days ago I gave up and downloaded every single widget battery app. And this one is perfect. It gives a rough estimate of how much life is left based on usage, the colors are beautiful, AND it’s free. Granted, I’m about to go and see if there’s a “tip” option because I have no issues paying a dollar or two for a well done app. Thank you for quality!!!

Im the tech for my entire family of 6 and my neighbors. BatteryHD is perfect for keeping batteries healthy.
Just install, calibrate device right away (worth the wait), then set alerts for below 40% and above 75%. This can save you from having your phone shut off while you are out and about. One more tip: set your widget to show temperature. Temps going below 50F shorten the run time of phone batteries exponentially, and temps above 80F will kill the capacity even faster. Going out in the summer keep your device out of the sun and never leave in car. In winter keep it closest to your body heat as possible (inner coat pocket etc) unless using in your hand or charging. Charging generates heat so the battery will keep itself warm while its charging. But if its 95F+ or Below 0F you really have to be careful. Sometimes you just have to leave it home or you risk killing it.

To keep your batter in tip top shape. Is calibration. Which this does beautifully. Yes. Then ur battery will run just like a brand new one. Make sure & calibrate after any updat of is. & on rec frequency. Which escapes me. Good directions , easy interface. I recommend. Really glad I found an app that calibrates the battery! Has been much needed for a long time. I’ve curses Apple a long time because of the crappy battery they put in the i equipment. I was so spoiled by the blackberry. I recommend
