  Improved

  The CSPAN Radio app is great if you like political news. It seems they have made it much more stable. It now stays connected much better, even in rural areas. I was using a different general radio app (on iPhone). But lately that app does not like to stay connected and very often repeats words or phrases. So the C-SPAN radio app is now a better alternative.

  Want to love but it keeps crashing

  I’m really enjoying being able to listen to this radio while having the screen off and letting it run while I do my work. But too often it crashes. It frequently pauses on its own and won’t resume unless I get back into the app and re-enter the stream. Other times it will just crash out of the app completely. It’s very frustrating and defeats the purpose of having it stream with the screen off. If that bug could be fixed, that would greatly improve the experience of the app.

  This app is a gem for our Republic, the government, the vital civic life, the fascinating history in all its glory and tragedy, the people, places, and institutions and everything that we build and need to frame, protect, grow, and inspire the greatest nation ever presented with fair minded and deliberative discussion and heart, needed more than ever.   For Gov/Political junkies only:

  No stars for those who don’t give a tinker’s dam how this government’s run: I just wish C-Span would give equal time to supposed “leftish” groups, not just Big Business Societies, CATO institute ( where I cone from those guys’ caps mean Catastrophic Accident on Take Off), etc., rather than Sierra Club, Amnesty International, folks who don’t exactly hold coal to be “clean” fuel; DNC, EFF, etc. Also: EVERY Trump Campaign Stop a’in’t worth prime time.

  Great on the go!

  C-SPAN Radio is great to listen on my commute into work every morning. It’s a reliable way to get your news first thing in the morning and learn even more from their various podcasts. I very much appreciate all of the hard work that goes into making this public service available. Thanks C-SPAN!

  Streaming is frequently interrupted

  streaming is frequently interrupted and cant always resume (may just be network quality issues). The UI buttons dont make sense when paused or while the stream is trying to catch-up. App does not correctly resume the stream if it is interrupted by the Phone app. I would like to see the current schedule title on the home screen for each c-span stream.

  Connection

  Great service! The best for news, BY FAR! App is a bit clunky is only issue. It disconnects a moderate amount. But even with that, this is the best news service there is!

  Latest update makes app unusable

  I loved the app before the latest update, but now the stream cuts out after one minute or so and must be manually restarted in order to continue playing the content. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING such that I no longer want to use the app. I hope this is fixed quickly, however, because C-Span is my source of unfiltered information about what is happening in our nation’s capital.

  Rather excellent, but lectures in history is too lib

  Is a great app the political news is interesting but can be dry. I also enjoy the lectures in history podcasts but the prof. Tend to be more of the liberal variety (wish there was more diversity of opinion) is rate the app as a whole a 4.5

  Good for Democracy

  I am happy that this is available since I have unplugged from cable and without this I would not have access to c-span at all.

  Jeez

  I love C-SPAN and the service they provide but this app is terrible. It simply doesn't work. It's skipping, jumping around and cutting out, endlessly. I often have to reload it and some channels simply don't play for a while when I know there's audio on the floor. It's just frustrating when I want to hear debate. The streaming encoding is just wrong. Thank you.
