I have enjoyed this app for years. Jamendo for iOS is, to be polite, barely useable. This is not their only weakness. Accessing them in a browser is not much better.

I love the music selection, however, I cannot log into my active account. I cannot change my password even though it recognizes my account, I don’t think this is an app problem since the browser has the same issue. I cannot get more than one track to play at a time. I get logged out if I try to create a new playlist.

The rating is for Jamendo alone. I love having access to so many independent artists. I saw one review complaining about “new” content but it was obvious by their example’s that they meant popular. There is an awe inspiring amount of great music available on the service

Love this app and I really wish I could use Jamendo but it just doesn’t stream for me. It will stream 1 song then nothing even though I’m trying to play a whole album! And since you can’t download on iOS it renders Jamendo unusable. Is there a fix for this? Please!

According to this app’s help center Apple’s iOS prevents the download option that’s why they can’t add that feature on Jamendo for all those wondering.

A relief from the conglomerate Apple\Google/IHeartRadio with an outstanding library . this app provides that needed touch to hear artists that are nowhere on Corporate run radio. I wish this app were available to anyone who needs true artists reflecting our World, and not the Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks fakeness. Definitely use Jamendo in the car when driving back and forth on long drives.

But the radio part of Jamendo fails to work. It continually tells me it is unable to stream at this time.

I most wanted to use the radio portion of Jamendo for music discovery, without that I don't really use it.

It also doesn't make any sense to me that I can't favorite and save songs/artists/albums I discover and like. How am I supposed to I back and listen later to something I found without this basic functionality?

Fix the bugs. When launching it says a new version is available and I should update by pressing an ok button located below the message. I click and it just does nothing.

Play all does not work at all. It plays one maybe two songs if you’re lucky.

Play lists are stagnant. Rotate the music a bit. Old is good, new is good, a constant mix of both is better.

This is an awesome source for Indie Music! People who rate Jamendo low seem to expect big name and top 40 talent. Reading is Fundamental people! this app tells you that it’s all about indie music. Real music and talent here. You don’t get much cookie cutter music here. Too awesome!

I love this app, but Jamendo is horrible. It is a nightmare to navigate, no search bar or back button. So if you are scrolling thru a play list and click on an artist, you can't go back to the list. You have to quit Jamendo and restart and find your way back to where you were.

How do I download music to my iPhone through Jamendo?

Some excellent music.
App has issues. Logs me out when I try to make playlists. Considers me logging in from FB as a separate account and wouldn’t let me sign in saying my email was already in use. 🙄 Lots of issues.

Jamendo is very slow and very buggy. Also, the link sent to eMail for resetting a password gives a 404 error.

I don't like this shut cuz they only have old music it doesn't have any artist like Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. I give this 1.5/5 star

Please stop giving Jamendo bad reviews because it doesn't have popular artists. If you think that's a problem, you obviously don't understand the whole point of this app. Read the description of Jamendo, it's for "access to this app's 20,000 albums published under the Creative Commons licenses". How many popular artists do you know of who publish their music under the Creative Commons liscence?

There's plenty of great music on Jamendo, and it's especially useful if you just want some background music to set the mood. Great job this app, keep up the good work.

this app is my go-to source for music when I want to hear something different from the usual commercialized stuff. I can always find a new funky beat on this app from somewhere around the world. And those of you down rating Jamendo and it's associated site because it doesn't play Top40 are only showing your ignorance and lack of culture. For the rest of you, explore some music from around the world and I'm postitive that you'll find a new song or artist for whatever mood your in.

I've had this app on my computer for months and just downloaded the iTunes app. Most of the time I just tune into a Radio stream that matches my mood at the time. It's a great way to discover independent artists and music under Creative Commons license -- NOT superstars from the traditional music industry. I like discovering new artists in various genres this app who distribute their music independently with FREE streaming and uhnlimited downloads. There are also no ads which is a welcome relief.

They really should have put "does not contain signed artists" in all caps several times since people don't seem to get that. With that having been said, this is a solid implementation of the this app catalog. Jamendo works, you just have to be willing to listen to new music. I would think the hipsters would be all over this, it's as underground as it gets. Mi have found some amazing bands on this app, dig around, find something new.

As far as the music goes, it is slowly becoming my turn-to for "tuneage".... There's something for everyone on this site & the content honestly just keeps getting better & better.

As for Jamendo ..... It has been buggy in the past, but there have been timely fixes & I am no longer frustrated using it.

Many thanks to the team(s) that keep Jamendo going as well as the people who continue to put content on the site.... You bring me smiles on a daily basis!

Some of the content is not ready for prime time yet & still others are every bit as polished as any commercial act out there... Like I said, there's something for everyone on here.

Don't be afraid to check it out.... You may very well be pleasantly surprised @ what you may find.... I know I have been. :)

It wouldn't be both free and legal. You guys do realize that there was a time that Kanye West, Eminem and Lady Gaga were aspiring artists that you hadn't heard about, right? The other positive reviewer is right- turn on your radio, and buy their overpriced CDs. Or torrent if you want to go the illegal route. But don't complain about something free... If you actually listen and hate all the music, write about that. Otherwise, please hush. :)

People people people....... Jamendo isn't your average music. IF YOU WANT TODAYS POPULAR MUSIC, TURN ON THE RADIO!!!!!!!! Jamendo is for the real music lovers. It gives you a chance to hear songs that aren't spoon fed to you by the media on a daily basis. Aka the radio. I like it because it's different. There are other people on this planet that can produce music besides Jayz and slipknot. Try something new and enjoy new music.... Good stuff brutha man, good stuff....
