Running on a MacBook Pro, the program would frequently shut down ( without warning, losing much tedious work!). It has quirky and inconsistent commands (when to use tab vs. enter); too many confirmation actions, and a weak search function. I have a substantial lp collection. The database does not “play well” with lps because CDs are expected. To top it off, the values provided by CORE do not match my holdings and overwrote my entries!
That said, it’s still the best I’ve found and have begrudgingly struggled with it until I subdued it ( or perhaps just changed my attitude). BTW, the newest version appears to be considerably more stable.
I’ve been using Music Collectors in one form of another for about ten years. My collection is quite large and it’s important to be able to quickly access my collection and retrieve data. With the always improving feature set it is more functional and helpful to me than ever.
A new update was just released and was significant for me. One of the new features is the addition of box set information. I have hundreds of box sets and could not figure out how to get all of my sets to synchronize from my Cloud Collectorz to the updated ios app. I contacted support and they responded with simple, easy to follow directions. I had all of my box sets and the data for each synced onto my ios app in under two minutes! Great software and great support.
Nothing is without some level of issues but i must say one never had any one
If you have a huge collection of music, this is CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase for you. It is easy to use. The data base of music on CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase is amazing. It makes it easy to keep track of your music, how much they cost, and if you loan your music out, CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase helps with who you loaned it out to. I recommend CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase for any music collector. You won’t be disappointed.
Somehow I deleted my music list and my cloud list. I contacted CLZ and Alwin contacted me and helped me get my list back! I had over 850 on my app and it would have taken me forever to manually re-enter. Thanks to Alwin my problem was solved! Thanks again for all your help!
Gone are the days of coming home with new records, only to realize I already had several of them! Now I can take my collection with me everywhere!! CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase is a MUST HAVE for any serous music enthusiast who prefers tangible recordings over digital! Don’t get me wrong I own music on ALL media types. I’m so relieved CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase helps me stay organized! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
I have hundreds of CDs I wanted to inventory. CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase makes it so easy. The barcode reader scans cleanly despite the wide variety of backgrounds, identifies the album immediately, and is ready to scan the next one. Very few CDs not recognized, mostly self-published ones. Saved me tons of hours inputting manually.
I’ve been using the Games app for a few years and decided to branch out to the Music app to catalog my collection. I downloaded the trial and had issues adding albums. Support was all over it, very responsive and worked with me to fix my issue. Now I’m adding my collection with ease. I love that the track details can be included.
I've been using CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase and its companion desktop software for many years, and both are brilliant: easy to use, well-laid-out, flexible and plenty of useful fields. Subscription based, but if you have a big collection, this is the only way to go - much more detail and flexibility than Discogs.
I have over well over 600 plus CDs ranging from typical releases , parts of box sets, box sets, singles.. free CD compilations from when you subscribed to say Entertainment Weekly (remember magazines) and the infamous BMG & Columbia House additions this software finds it all via Scan Bar, Catalogue Number or just look it up by artist or title. I just scanned 100 CDs and just blown away!!
Highly Addictive search and stats with cover art!!! Take my Money!!
Got the trial app and just love it! I catalogued 75 CDs in about 20 minutes. I would also recommend getting the Music Connect web based program as you can edit your information easier in bulk. Also, I was impressed with their customer service as I had a question and they replied via email with the exact answer to my question.
Had this product, including the application on my Macintosh, for at least seven or eight years. Love the interface in the way it works. I do consider the price, a little high yearly, but I love having everything on my device, especially when buying records to make sure I don’t duplicate anything.
Customer service is always very prompt and I appreciate that.
I have had CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase for some time but was not originally impressed as it had some quirks. Now that sheltering in place is a thing, I revisited it and was very to happy to see there have been some improvements eliminating those little quirks. I scanned in a few hundred so far and kept thinking there is no way they will have this title, but was proven wrong after scanning the barcode and up pops the disc. I had to contact support for syncing issues since it has been a long time in between uses, but got the correct answer back quickly to get databases to sync. Very pleased. Even told a friend about CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase .
Have used the Collectorz Music program for several years - initially the desktop version and, more recently the cloud and mobile versions - great to use for insurance, to recheck the collection from the record store before making a purchase and to review before selecting LPs for an evening’s listening - an indispensable tool for any serious collector - well done Alwin and team
Years ago I used to carry a bulky printout of my music collection with me, to use when I went to record stores (that's what we called them then), in order to avoid purchasing duplicates. Now, with this extremely useful Music Collector app, I always have my entire music database with me. It is definitely one of the best apps on my iPhone, and the customer service is excellent.
If you have a serious music collection or even just a large amateur collection you need this database. It’s easy to use and due to the large database available from other users, adding your own music is a snap... even when loading older albums that have no barcode. Multiple data fields allow you to get as detailed as you desire. Always know what you have and where it’s at!
I’ve had CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase for a while now and a recent update (always improving) had me stumped. I’ve pretty much figured out everything I’ve wanted to do with the data base. It is very friendly software. Well got stumped on something simple. Contacted customer service for help and was extremely surprised with how fast the response was. Even on super bowl weekend. Would recommend to catalog all your music. 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I have been using CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase for cataloguing my large LP collection for many years. I have found CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase a wonderful way to track my collection, it’s easy to use, logical and well thought out. CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase has saved me from buying records I already own, as my memory is not what it used to be!
Recently I ran into a glitch with CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase . Alwin at CLZ Customer Service was very patient with me and very quickly resolved the issue. A great app with wonderful customer service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
I really do love CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase. For one thing, I’m not making the occasional duplicate purchase of something I already have. I love it’s search functionality, giving me each album that a particular song is on; and the ability to add my own specific info (i.e. color of vinyl, weight, purchase location and price, digital download, etc.) is an excellent feature! The majority of my catalog is made up of vinyl with a few CD’s in there, but it clearly identifies each. I use it constantly, and wouldn’t want to not have it!
I’ve been using CLZ Music collector for 5+ years and it’s been a great way to catalog my CDs and LPs. I use it to keep all media organized by genre and alpha in CD rack and LP cabinet (1000 CDs +100 newly added LPs.) when I scan a new CD - I instantly know which CDs it goes between! CLZ is always improving CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase . like recently adding statistics in real. 5.2. The best part for me is being able to scan barcodes or enter catalog #s - I can’t imagine doing it manually anymore. And now scanning is in CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase - no more need for the separate Barry app. Syncing to the cloud is a nice assurance too. One of the best working apps I’ve found for running on my PC, MAC, iPhone and iPad !
I began using the CLZ music catalog App/web years ago to track my Vinyl/CD collection. It would have been amazing to have CLZMusicCDVinyldatabase back when I started collecting. (Really amazing since I started my collection in 1968!) Kudos to the Team at CLZ for their always fantastic product!
