I’ve been using WindAlert for years and loved it. The new UI is clunky and not nearly as appealing to the eye. Please go back!!

Lol on you being butt-hurt about me leaving a review. Instead of passive aggressively suggesting that I email your support with my suggestions, accept that I appropriately left a review for your app in the dedicated app review section of WindAlert Store. Further, take that review as well as the countless others by long time users that I now see in response to your update and accept valuable input being provided. Then, humbly and gratefully restore your apps look and functionality to it’s former glory and I’ll be happy to change my review and rating. Toodles!!

Initially I was upset at the sudden change of the interface requiring 2 steps to see the wind direction forecast (how lazy and spoiled I've become) but as I've explored it more and gotten used to it, I'm happy with the update. I use the forecast for planning my birding outings and like having the inclusion of tide reports right there with the wind so the addition of a step here eliminates multiple steps to view the tide reports.

I just added the this app app back on my iPhone and the format looks much improved from what I recall a few years ago. The displayed data will be very helpful when planning my fishing trips. Going to have to wait to see how accurate it is.

The in-depth Pro forecasts are second-to-none. Much better and finer in detail than any other forecasters. And the live wind reports are more accurate than any other competitor’s app (other than this app’s sister apps- which have the same data- iKitesurf & sailflow.)

I drive a high-profile vehicle through Wyoming six days a week. The wind can range from calm to tropical storm/hurricane force winds at certain times of the year.

WindAlert sometimes means the difference between shutting down until the wind stops or simply continuing my day on a different route.

Oh my- What’s not to love? this app’s exclusive weather stations are worth far more annually than the modest cost of Pro membership. And then you also get THE most accurate meteorologist text forecast discussions available *anywhere*

Knowing specifically which areas within an area will have more or less wind is extremely valuable when planning a day on the water. WindAlert does a vey good just be of giving you that information now and in the near future.

All I use the program for is local wind conditions because I live on the bay, let’s me know when to bring the furniture in. As much as I’d like to support this software it is priced for the people who use it for a far broader use than mine. It is priced too high for my limited use.

While other weather apps all seem to be pretty graphics of the same government models and data —- this one has real weather stations in very key locations. You won’t find these key stations anywhere else. Data is substantial.

Why am I getting a black screen and not able to open WindAlert ?
Update - Deleted WindAlert and then download it again. It appears something happened during downloading the update. All is well. One of the best app out there. I depend on it when preparing my float plan and for any other outdoor activities.

The Boston Pilots need accurate and real time wind direction and speed to safely move ships. WindAlert c
Does that and more with future wind speed and direction. All the stations in our area are in the wide open. The weather buoys in our area update once an hour. Nothing bad to say about it.

I recently downloaded WindAlert. It seems nice so far. However, is there any way to see what the gusts are? Where I live, we see lots of Santa Ana winds and lots of gusty wind. I think all that I’m able to view on WindAlert is the sustained winds?
Update: I found out I can tap the arrow for more details including gusts. That is nice. Any chance there can be a wind gust live map? That’d be neat.

I use the Plus version of WindAlert. We sail on the NY Finger-lakes, specifically, Seneca Lake currently. Since we live 100 miles round trip from the dock I use WindAlert to be sure that the wind conditions are favorable or unfavorable before making the trip. I have found WindAlert to be extremely valuable in its predictive value.

Great tool for anyone who races sailboat. Up to date wind data up and down the coast. Wind alerts keep me in the loop on what's happening in my region. Perfect for those "planned" sick days from work. Membership in iWindsurf makes even more sense with the addition of this free app. Highly recommend for all serious racers of both dinghies and keelboats of all sizes. Peter

It’s taken them some time but WindAlert has become fairly bug free and is a must have for any serious wind sport person. The pro forecasts are generally much more accurate than the other “free” apps that just regurgitate official weather data. Plus their network of weather stations for real time data is unbeatable.

I have used Wind Alert for more than 10 years in South Florida and, as a serious sailor, appreciate the many models available, the custom forecasts and the amount of sea condition information available. There are other apps but Wind Alert has everything I need and gives me no reason to look further.

I’m a San Diego Bay sailor so don’t need offshore forecast, wind or weather. When dilute is perfect for deciding what day and time to go sailing each weekend and what kind of wind conditions to expect. It has generally been spot on although I’m not 100%. Still, appreciate having wind,
Tide, and weather all in one app. Price is right! Can’t lose on this one!

While your mileage my vary depending on your location, I can say that for me, its incredibly useful for forecasting wind intensity and direction. Not sure how the prediction data is collected, but when I pick a few different stations around me, I can confidently predict wind/weather more accurately than just a single big online weather service.

We are avid fishermen that enjoy going to the Oregon coast for fishing. It is a two hour drive to get to our destination, We use the Wind Alert app to plan our trips when the water and wind conditions allow, We have found the data to be very accurate and it has helped us reduce wasted trips only to find out conditions would not allow us to get across the Bar into a rough ocean. Thumbs up! Tight Lines!

One of the most accurate weather apps I have found. We are in agriculture and have live stock and accurate information on wind, temps and weather fronts and storms can be deadly and financially devastating. So accurate weather in advance is something that is crucial to the success of our operations. Thank you

I may not be viewing WindAlert properly but it seems diffficult to find my location. I have to scroll through every location- time consuming
I don’t know if this is possible but it would be good to be able to enlarge the window, as one does with a photo.

Downloaded WindAlert about a week ago. What a wealth of EXCELLENT weather information. Trying out the 14-day Pro Version really love it. Also like how you can create individual Favorites by simply locating a station then saving it along with a TON of other information available. That’s simplicity at its BEST.

Thank you developers for the outstanding app and all the features available. The wind / wind gusts info especially for the mountains is very valuable especially for travel.

I would recommend WindAlert to anyone looking for weather related information.

I really enjoyed the selection of data that window alert provides. Was very helpful to see the tide forecast along with the wind forecast during the last hurricane. Very easy to use and very easy to understand

Living in south central Idaho where the wind blows this is a must. I pick my days to fish by WindAlert as mother nature is boss. Its nice to know that I’m going to enjoy the day instead of fighting the wind. App is very accurate and makes my life easier. Temperature and wind are accurate and a must for the outdoor enthusiast.

Found WindAlert by accident and now I use it all the time as a flight planning tool. Was so impressed I showed it to a couple other pilots who were equally impressed. All are considering upgrades. Accurate, real time and a great improvement over other sources.

This free simple Application works great for planning my day. While cycling in many different areas across America it helps me choose my routes and mentally plan my day. If you’re outdoors trying to get plenty of fresh air and sunshine you will like it too. Thanks for a hassle free app.
