About: Have you ever heard of the “Don’t Break The Chain” (DBTC) motivation
technique
used by the famous American stand-up comedian and director Jerry
Seinfeld? The
idea behind this motivation technique is so simple and easy to
achieve: Define a
goal and try to constantly do actions towards your goal. So,
no matter you are
going to learn a new language, learn how to play Guitar, break
a bad habit, write a
new book, or any other.

i’m using this app to keep track of how often I avoid doing a bad habit I’m trying to break. However, unless it was a glitch, it seems to delete everything that came before if you break the chain. Maybe that’s the idea of behind the app, but I would like to be able to see even the broken chains because it shows me how many days I’ve avoided doing the unhealthy behaviors, even if they get broken. The badge being only the current chain is fine though. Maybe the current chain could be one color and the old broken chains a darker shade.

I actually love tapping the X to show I’ve done it. The gaps bother me and this simple thing has made the difference! I’m a ONE Thing fan and I heard that Geoff used it, so I gave it a try for our 66 day challenge. My 13 yo son is now using it because his teacher gave them a 66 day challenge to read x amount every day to build the habit. There is no limit to the things you might improve by tracking them and being accountable for your wins and losses and strive to have more wins. I like complicated things, but simple is what’s working for me. Love this app!

I really like this app because I can keep track of all the good habits I want to develop!
However, I would like to suggest adding an option to have a reminder for each individual chain.
For example, I could set a specific time for the app to remind me to complete my goal of exercising at 6am while another reminder will notify me to read a few chapters in my book at 2pm.
