Same problem as mentioned above. I purchased the app, no mention of subscription, seems their trying too rip people off . File a complaint .
When trying to "share" via email nothing gets sent out. It would seem you'd want this feature to work since it's free advertising to someone who doesn't already have the app.
Purchased in 2011 (confirmed when I click on Contact button) and now unable to get past Free Trial popup as mentioned by so many others. The $1 refundable charge became $56 when I started processing a fix with JustAnswer, so I backed out of that, of course. What is going on, Mitch Waite? Please have the courtesy of a fix or a reply.
Same problem as others report. When I open the app (iphone), I get a message that my purchase of the app Is not detected. When I select the Support option, it shows my purchase date (2014), so the purchase is in fact detected. I contacted Support and have not received a reply. App Store shows iBird as installed and up to date on my phone. iBird, please reply, please fix.
I have had this app since 2015. Now I’m getting messages saying my purchase of the app is not detected. It asked me to contact you but the email I sent from the app was undeliverable at the address provided. I have tried emailing you from my email account. Have sent it 2-3 times, but still no response from anyone. Very dissappointing. I paid for the app in 2015! I use it just about every day, this needs to get this resolved please. Also, if I need to start paying for the app as has been mentioned in your app notes, will whatever history/notes be saved? Thank you.
I have used this app since 2012. Now all I get is an advertisement for a free trial that won’t go away.

App not allowing login . Bought in 2015!
Previously purchased, now unable to open or reload. Unable to email customer support. Please advise.
Purchase date: 1/25/12 Unable to open or reload Frustrating
I’m getting messages saying my purchase of the app Is not detected. It asked me to contact you but email is undeliverable at the address provided. I paid for the app in 2013! Use it regularly almost daily need to get this resolved please
I purchased this product in 2013. I am in the woods in a part of the country I’ve never been before and the app is now requiring me to purchase, says there is no history of my purchase and the support email doesn’t work, it bounces back, but replies in the app auto email to support with my purchase date. Really disappointed I cannot use or get in contact with the app.
When I select a particular call, it always plays the call before it and I have to tap the call I selected twice to get it to play. I have removed the app and reinstalled it and it did not fix the problem. This problem just started to happen a few weeks ago after an update.

Im getting "no internet" errors when trying to view Range, Photo, etc.
I’ve used this app for years and for some reason the tabs that you use to replay the call over and over or play once are now greyed out even when you touch the one you want . I often want to use the replay over and over tab to call in the bird I’ve chosen so I can photograph him . If I mess with it I can sometimes get it to work . Please update the app and solve this issue . Thanks , Wayne
What happened to the android version of the app? It was available last year, but since January 2023 I haven't been able to find it on Google Play. :(
I can no longer find ibirdpro on Android Play Store. What happened to it?
I just reported an issue with my search bar on iBird Pro. But evidently, I didn't scroll far enough down the screen on your help screen. I found your suggested "fixes" and was able to get the app working again. Thank you.
Bird selection disappears when I type more than 3 letters into the search bar. I have an android cellphone.
My sound does not work with IBird Pro - how do I correct?

In addition to all of the features we’ve mentioned, iBird Pro comes with these additional features: Birds Around Me (BAM)—shows just those species within a radius surrounding your GPS location, Percevia™ smart search—a patented feature that helps you identify birds just like the birding experts, Time-of-Day—lets you search for birds by activity levels during day or night, dawn, dusk, etc. , Owls of Mexico—includes illustrations with field marks, range maps, songs and calls for 16 remarkable Owl species. Version 12. 7 adds 5 new illustrations—to see these go to Search > Illustration Update > 12. 7. What birders say they love about iBird the most is its premium-quality encyclopedic reference to every avian species in the United States, Canada, the Hawaiian Islands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the unique island nation of Palau, which should be on every birder’s life-list. iBird follows conventions of the 2019-20 American Ornithological Union (AOU) standard. iBird inspired Apple to feature it in their famous "We have an app for that" videos. (go to: bit. ly/ibirdmovie). Why? Another way iBird enhances your birding experience—a detailed field mark layer that exists for each illustration can be toggled on or off to highlight important identification characteristics. MAPS. iBird has Range Maps for every species that show where the bird spends its time throughout the year. SONGS. iBird Pro is a self-contained, take-anywhere-no-Internet-required app that turns your iPhone into a field guide to birds of North America. iBird offers a search engine designed for identifying birds plus a neural-network feature for identifying birds from any photo. Unlike most birding apps, no Internet connection is required to use iBird in the field—it has a self-contained database of all content. iBird Pro’s architecture is now “consolidated,” with four countries contained in its database: North America, United Kingdom, and Ireland, Hawaii, and Palau. These are super-useful to confirm an ID or when you can hear but not see the bird. PHOTO RECOGNITION. iBird's amazing Photo Sleuth feature takes advantage of modern AI-based photo recognition techniques to identify any bird from any photograph, even a poor-quality, fuzzy photo. Unlike other bird apps, iBird contains a growing library of over 4,000 photographs, allowing you to see the species in multiple settings and real-life environments. Because, most notably, iBird offers functionality not found in books or most other birding apps. ILLUSTRATIONS. To enhance your ability to identify any species, iBird contains over 4,000 birdsong and bird-call recordings. Only iBird has full-size, high-resolution, hand-drawn, field-marked illustrations for every species. The search engine comes with 35+ characteristics of birds that can be searched (e. g. , body-color, GPS location, habitat, bill shape, song type, etc. ). We’ve saved the best for last—iBird's patented, comprehensive Percevia™ nature-based search engine that will turn novices into bird ID experts. These composite illustrations contain images of the male, female, juvenile, bird-in-fight, and other variations in plumage based on age or location. PHOTOS. No other birding app offers both illustrations and photographs. FIELD-MARKS. More databases will be added to iBird in the future. See how Photo Sleuth works: bit. ly/ibirdphoto. SMART SEARCH.
