I have been using DocumentsOfficeDocs to store important documents on my iPad. I have been satisfied with it until about 6 months ago. For some reason DocumentsOfficeDocs will no longer load. It comes up and immediately crashes. I am unable to access the documents. I have been required to try to remember what all I have stored so I can duplicate them in a more stable app

I emailed SavySoda support and received an automated reply with a reference number. That is all after months of me sending desperate requests for some help.

Save yourself some grief and use a different app to store documents. There are several good ones from Reputable companies. This one is not!

It is one of several Savy Soda products which I have purchased but found to be completely nonfunctional. This will not open spreadsheets without renaming .xls to .csv and even then all that changes is the error message. Support is horrendous. Usability is zero. I’m not picky, just want the basics to carry an Excel spreadsheet on the go on an iOS device fro sometimes months at a time. Despite many hours I have yet to gain this functionality for a minute.

I have actually tried several Savy Soda products and none of them are functional. None can handle the basics... opening or creating an Excel spreadsheet (or other office doc) on an iOS app, editing it and saving it in a Microsoft a Office format. I have contacted customer support numerous times and receive form letter emails. I put the issues where instructed and have never received a response, let alone a resolution.

I have effectively paid to be an unpaid alpha release tester for Savy Soda. I will never again consider a purchase of any Savy Soda application.

Funny how they don't post negative reviews. I left a 2 star review a while ago and it never got posted. DocumentsOfficeDocs doesn’t work correctly. It doesn't save colors. It doesn’t save with .doc extension, it only saves documents with RTF extension. Spreadsheet files are limited to CSV extension. It does not copy and paste from other csv or xls files. It saves newly created empty files and multiple copies of edited documents even when you hit “don’t save”. It doesn’t save files to iCloud folder even after you set the document storage folder to iCloud. The help files are either nonexistent or they don’t make sense for DocumentsOfficeDocs. There is no possible way there could be so many recently posted 5 star reviews of DocumentsOfficeDocs! It doesn't work correctly. Very few critical reviews. LOL. Really? By all means, download DocumentsOfficeDocs! Find out for yourself. However, if they ever actually fix any of the above mentioned issues, I'll be happy to update my review with 5 stars 😊

I love DocumentsOfficeDocs. I used DocumentsOfficeDocs for three years with no issues. I’m giving it two stars in this review because I have uninstalled and reinstalled DocumentsOfficeDocs several times because of a bug that I can’t figure out how to manually fix. I kept doing so because I was hoping the problem would be resolved eventually.

The issue has been that I can’t apply changes to the font. There’s no option anymore to apply the changes I make after I click the font button. I can set it to “Times New Roman”, size “15”, but I cannot apply the change, or exit out of the font changer. It may be just that my device is “behind” (I am working with an iPod Touch 6th Gen), but if I can download DocumentsOfficeDocs , it should function correctly regardless of what I’m working with.

I love DocumentsOfficeDocs, it’s been very useful to me as a writer, so please check and fix this problem.

I was really blown away by how easy it is to set up and use DocumentsOfficeDocs. I was looking for some way to track my daily medical information. I kept going through the little booklets they give at the doctors office and just wanted to keep track of it on my iPhone. So now I have it one place. Date, Morning Sugar level along with before/after sugar levels taking Janumet with meals, Morning Meds, Evening Meds, Victoza shot, also blood pressure readings through out the day and any Notes.
The only reason I didn’t give it a higher rating was today is the first day. After a month of using it I may go higher in the rating.
Oh, did I mention ALL this for free? Great bargain with no monthly fees. Thanks

After all the great reviews here, I hoped that this compared with OfficeSuite because I hadn’t yet found a work around to a recent change there. I was very surprised to see how limited DocumentsOfficeDocs is. Very small feature set, very basic UI, and saves only as rtf from what I could see.

The free version of OfficeSuite has some ad annoyances, but it’s SO incredibly capable and bug free in the year or so that I’ve used it for word docx creation and pdf viewing. Also views / creates Excel docs and PowerPoint.

Suddenly I can no longer add documents or folders. All these changes have happened to DocumentsOfficeDocs and yet there has been no official update since July 2019.

I thought the fix would be to uninstall and reinstall DocumentsOfficeDocs . The first time I did that I could see the + sign again. But next time I went into DocumentsOfficeDocs is was blocked again with advertising and the “Upgrade” button at the bottom which you can’t press because nothing happens.

It seems like DocumentsOfficeDocs is intentionally being made worse????? To top that the developer site is a dead link. Hmmmmm.

Hi, I appreciate DocumentsOfficeDocs, and like it very much. I have the following suggestions on improvements for your consideration:
(1) Suggest to add a function: when tap the top of an opened document (maybe the document name), it will automatically bring the document to the bottom line. If would be helpful when the document is really long.
(2) Suggest to NOT alway popping out a dialogue box to choose “save” or “not save” when closing a document, IF the document was only opened and viewed without any revisions or updates. The save/not save options should be only given when a document was modified.
(3) Suggest to add a function of “bullet” for editing the content of a document.

When they asked me to offer a review I said ABSOLUTELY! Tell the truth about my experience, that’s a no brainer. Truth is DocumentsOfficeDocs finally allows me a new beginning on every note that meets my experience DocumentsOfficeDocs is able to seriously do what I need it to do. Other apps struggle and fail. Every time I use DocumentsOfficeDocs, the experience is easy and useful. For me I’m a creator! Constantly I make notes on sometimes whatever’s closest to me at the time, i.e. (paper napkins) I love the concept that I can take those ideas and the vision in the moment and I can create a document to capture the moment in time!
For me I like DocumentsOfficeDocs and the ability to deliver for my needs.

To the creators: Thank you. For everything you do to help us. For those who have DocumentsOfficeDocs downloaded, Please continue to allow us to keep DocumentsOfficeDocs , and as you make updates, make it possible to update DocumentsOfficeDocs .

My notes are very well managed with the Documents app. Only issues that can be improved is, better description or even a slight tutorial would help easy the confusion I had when trying to operate DocumentsOfficeDocs. As well, needing a trash bin so if someone accidentally deletes info. They can easily receive the deleted data back. Other than that, I have no issues with DocumentsOfficeDocs .

Easy to use. And I like that DocumentsOfficeDocs can grab a file from dropbox as easily as a file sent to you by email.
It works nicely with excel spreadsheets and word documents. Even pdf files!

And a huge thank you for having all your buttons properly labeled for use by blind voiceover users! I cannot stress how much I appreciate this. This is actually the ONLY app I’ve found that can handle pdf files and work with voiceover. Highly recommended!

I have been visually impaired for almost 10 years now. This was a whole new experience for me, needing to relearn to use all of my technology. Thank goodness for companies, such as Apple. I have felt that all of Apple’s products have been incredibly accessible and helpful, by the means of voice over and allowing the programs to remain easy and able to worked with, as a voice over user.

Fast and easy to download. There’s no account that has to be made like some of the other sites which is a huge plus. This will definitely be my new go-to for all my font needs! This particular time I needed a script font with a little attitude for an apron I’m custom designing for someone. I usually search numerous sites, going over tons of fonts, picking out the specific letters I need and like most. This site definitely makes my job much easier!

I still love DocumentsOfficeDocs 👆 the 5 stars and still very worth them.

Just a heads up since the update there’s been an issue with changing font and size. For some reason it gets stuck in the screen. There’s no way out but to close down the document and start over. So I’d suggest save frequently. I had a mishap and hit the change font icon and lost a lot of a document I was working on.

Other than that it’s a terrific app

This is a great, straightforward app. It's easy to organize documents and their content. My one pet peeve has to do with font size, but that's really a slight-rain-when-you'd-been-hoping-for-only-grey-clouds sort of annoyance. Not substantial in the least.
One of the greatest parts of DocumentsOfficeDocs is that it doesn't bombard you with ads constantly. There are, at least on my device, banner ads at the bottom when I view my documents, but they aren't overly attention-catching and they don't appear when an app is open.

This is the easiest and best document app, for my iPad mini to use. Fairly easy to navigate the different options. Only feature I wish was available, is a search option in an open word document. To find a specific spot in the document, and not have to scroll forever, if its a large document. This is the only document app I use for my iPad. Absolutely love it. I use the free version, I am not sure if the search option is in the paid version.

I LOVE to copy and paste. Research takes half the time. I have known about Apple's free document app for a few years and have been using it on my phone for every kind of letter, list and note you can imagine. I didn't think about using the document app on my iPad. DUH. I am in the middle of a kitchen/bath remodel and began writing everything down on paper for comparison purposes. I just spent 20 minutes pasting all my hours of research into a simple format. I should have thanked you several years ago when I put it on my phone. THANK YOU AGAIN.

So far no Complaints. It is free. It has no advertisements. It is quick, with no lag time. It integrates with drop box and google drive — which are the ones I really care about. It also
Integrates with some Other applications . All you have to do it give the other cloud services permission to give access to Documents. I wi update review if anything starts going wrong, but so far so good. Thanks a bunch for this. I needed something g that could easily run across my apple iPhone plus Microsoft plus drop box plus google drive. Thanks.

Ok so this is amazing because you can organize very easily here. The design of DocumentsOfficeDocs may look old but that doesn’t matter, what really matters is how good DocumentsOfficeDocs is. The design of apps can attract people but is DocumentsOfficeDocs really useful? DocumentsOfficeDocs is very useful and read this review before you install.
The design is very simple and makes DocumentsOfficeDocs easy to use. You can create folders, documents, upload photos, and scan. Everything is free! I love DocumentsOfficeDocs and I would recommend it to people who want to organize their stuff with simplicity. Anyway enjoy DocumentsOfficeDocs just like me!

I love Documents and have used DocumentsOfficeDocs since 2013! It has seriously been a lifesaver when working on portable devices before and after having my Google acct. I’ve been able to use DocumentsOfficeDocs with my iPad, iTouch, and iPhone as my main document repository for many years. Even now, it is one of my main docs app, and I back up these documents to Google & iCloud. Thank you so much for DocumentsOfficeDocs, and I will continue to use it for as long as it exists.👍👍👍

I would have given it maybe a 3. But since I started using it again. I’m super disappointed. I’ll copy my doc. Written in my iPhone notepad. Make all my adjustments to documents.. when I save it’s fine. But it’s hard to just view again without clicking out and coming to the first page.
Also. The bold or any other function like that will work for a little bit .. but then it freezes and it’s useless. Super frustrating.
Doesn’t make any since. So I’m looking for a different app. Also one more thing. The format doesn’t stay true. Doesn’t stay lined up the way you key it in.

I have used this program since its introduction, and found it to be a useful alternative to paying Microsoft again to use Word on my iPhone.
HOWEVER, today I went to save a new document and I was taken to an 8 SECOND VIDIO AD that I was forced to watch or I would lose the unsaved content. These are the most intrusive and annoying ads that a developer can select of the many options available to make money.
I WILL BE DELETING DocumentsOfficeDocs, and after checking out replacements, I WILL POST ALTERNATIVES IN MY FOLLOW UP REVIEW.
Deleting and Negative Reviews are the only way we can stop ridiculous ads like this; I suggest you do the same

I copy/pasted the following from this apps Online Help section under the FAQs: “Unfortunately, you cannot edit a .doc or .docx file at the moment. However, you can view the content of .doc and .docx file.”
As a result, DocumentsOfficeDocs had the shortest life span of any app I’ve installed on my iPad 5. I downloaded DocumentsOfficeDocs for that very reason: being able to edit my Word documents while away from my computer. No can do. That statement above belongs in the description & features so it’s clear before installation!!! One star for NOT stating the bald truth in their description instead of their dancing around it!

I thought I could find a better app, one that would allow me to secure my files via fingerprint or something (that being one particular; ). I returned after trying out several other similar apps because I found DocumentsOfficeDocs was the best fit for to me, especially with regards to my ability to linkup with some of my other apps (“Box &, “Dropbox”).

Document applications allows me to write notes in provided spaces that I am not using for addition. I like the spread sheet adopt ability to my personal needs for doing monthly bills. I can plan my savings with the money not used in paying bill. So when I do my online banking l know what to pay, what is due, how much to put in savings, and how much to keep in checking.

This is a very good app for note taking, document record & various functions on front, colour, formatting.
It has been improving from previous version. Therefore I have used it for my document record. Very good work. I have recommended it to my friends. Lovely documentary that everyone like. Thank you very much for your efforts to make DocumentsOfficeDocs happen.
