Come on. Their home automation software for the Mac is…. ok. Nothing special, certainly nothing great compared to the Windows home automation software, and only SLIGHTLY better than the open source stuff out there… for now. I’m exclusively Mac BTW,. They haven’t updated this iOS app in FOUR YEARS. It’s not the right size for the iPhone 5+ screens, and at the MINIMUM they could have added geolocation to IndigoTouch that would work with their desktop software. I have to buy another service and do fairly complicated programming to know if I’m home or not? I can write an app that has geolocation features, and is the right size for the newer screens in literally under two hours. To right an app that works with their software it probably wouldn’t take more than 5 days at most since it’s just a layer on top of their web server software. I rarely write reviews, but I will never upgrade my software with this company again. This was state of the art four years ago. Every new home automation device you see that comes out is much, much more up to date, even considering all of the scripting and and advanced features Indigo has. If you’re downloading IndigoTouch you obviously already have paid for Indigo. Stop the cycle until they actually do something that really innovates.
Do not buy this app or system

Because I have Macs I bought into this system quite a few years ago. I kept hoping it would get better but it has only gotten worse. Let’s start with the fact that your Mac has to be running all the time for any of the functions ( lights off/on; lights dim, sprinkler on etc) to work. More than 90% of the time not all commands are executed. I’m never surprised anymore to see that my outdoor lights failed to turn on or off, that the lights don’t dim to the desired amount set in preferences and on and on. I completely switched from X10 to Z wave hoping that would resolve some of the command issues all to no avail. And should your Mac crash while I’ve out-nothing will turn off or on. I am slowly switching over to the Kasa system that doesn’t require a computer to run it as I am only doing simple on off and dim sequences. So far that system has performed flawlessly. Don’t waste your money or time with Indigo as it is not worth it

IndigoTouch will not work with Apple’s latest software release.
Apple Watch is no longer supported. Actually it hasn’t been supported for some time and I was waiting patiently for an update. My patience is running out. Come on Home Remote.

Finally! It's been a long time since this mobile app has gotten any love. After recent desktop Indigo updates the mobile version no longer supported slider settings; it was "on or off" for lights and everything. So far functionally it seems to be working well, and the updated interface is breath of fresh air. Thanks for the night theme! Haven't really put it through any real stress testing and I'm sure I'll find something missing I wished were in it, but it's great being able to see the logs and have fine control over all fixtures again. Hopefully this will continue to get regular updates and features as the desktop version does! Rating 4 stars for now just due to the update and fixing things that had broken, plus log addition and nicer interface. Will revisit again after more testing and use.
Quite useful

My Indigo, aside from automating house lights and such, also automates the play of music through the house using Airfoil. My main use of Touch is to select a second source of music if I don’t like what the present chosen schedule. A simple hit of a button will switch me to a playlist, internet radio station, or connect to the radio that feeds the in-line input of the Mac Mini that runs Indigo.
Keep the app updates and feautures coming!

Let me start by saying that Indigo is by far the most flexible, powerful, yet easy to use home automation platform available on the Mac. It allows for the seamless integration of IP and RF-based protocols including ZWave and Insteon/X10. It is definitely worth the (somewhat steep) price.
That being said, Perceptive Automation is a very small company (only 2 guys, last I heard) and as such they can be quite slow to deliver on updates and new features to their iOS app — though when they do deliver eventually, they often exceed expectations.
IndigoTouch underwent a major overhaul about a year ago, adding many new and much needed features and a great facelift as well. That being said, there have been very few updates since — mostly bug fix/maintenance releases. Most disappointingly, Apple Watch and Notification Center widget support have still not been added. This is the primary reason for my 4-star review.
From reading around on the Indigo forums, it appears that the slow pace of updates is because Matt and Jay devote most of their time/energy to the Mac server/client. This is understandable and certainly made the most sense back when home automation was in its infancy. But as HomeKit and competing HA platforms bring iOS/mobile devices to the center of HA, Indigo will need to devote more resources to their iOS app to remain relevant.
Indispensable

IndigoTouch has become an indispensable part of my Home Automation system. I need to be able to see the values of a number of variables when I am away from the house, and IndigoTouch allows me to do that.
Now if the developer would just add geofencing capability, it would be perfect.
I love IndigoTouch. It makes controlling my home with the Indigo software easy and has been extremely stable and reliable. The only thing that keeps me from giving 5 stars is the lack of ability to use the entire iPhone X screen.
excellent.

There are a few things I would change, but overall, really good.
Indigo just works!

These 5 stars are both for IndigoTouch and the Indigo server, and probably OS X deserves some of the credit as well. For the first time in 15 years, with Indigo, my X10 reliably works.
I have used x10 for 15 years or so (for pool filter, pool light, hot tub, fountain, xmas lights, space heaters, you name it). At first I used the x10 alarm clock and radio remote UI's, but those have always been hit or miss. A few years ago I started using the smarthome server on xp. Still hit or miss. Got this USB interface amplifier gadget, which helped a little bit but not enough. When the iPod touch came out, I made a little php server on my xp box hooked up to the smarthome api and saved the URL's on my iPod screen as on/off buttons for individual x10 addresses, (maybe an idea for indigo to save the open app click) but obviously still unreliable.
Now, with OS X, Indigo, and this little app, x10 is fast and reliable (and I am one step further from getting weened off from XP...)
Consistently does the job

I’m a long-time user of the indigo Home automation system. IndigoTouch allows me to securely control all devices in my smart home whether at home or away. We have a number of older iPads hanging on walls throughout the house running IndigoTouch. It’s a great way to give you a futuristic type house. Visitors are amazed at what we can control.
Nice Update!

Indigo remains one of the most capable home automation systems available. I hope it can have a rebirth to expand capability to Matter compatible products of the future. This system can easily be configured to work 100% locally. Allowing only its owner to know who does what when.
Excellent, bug free software and impressive support

I’ve been using their software for years to control my house, and it rocks. This is the mobile version of their software, but it’s just for controlling things. Think of it as a remote control for your house. You set up all the devices from their Mac software.

I have been using Indigo with Insteon devices for almost 10 years. It’s always been fantastic. I love the community providing plug-ins for many different sources. I’m not much of a programmer but this tool has allowed me to be so creative in setting scenes and scenarios to act upon. I have to say I am shocked that some bigger company has not swallowed them up.
Works well. Pretty remarkable all that can be done with IndigoTouch.
Perfect app and support

I use IndigoTouch in conjunction with a complex home system with 50 or so switches, a dozen controllers, and 50 or so conditional schedules (evening lights on etc). The initial hardware (17 years ago) was X10 based, but about 50% has now been replaced by Insteon dimmer switches. Indigo perfectly supports this mixed technology allowing me a smooth and inexpensive transition. IndigoTouch is very simple to use and works extremely well. The technical support team is fantastic. Both in their expertise and the responsiveness. The one thing I would recommend them to add is the Home Pod, Alexa, and Google voice interface for IndigoTouch . Perhaps initially just HomePod as it is in the same echo system. Special kudos to Matt from the tech team who expertly debugged en error caused by another Mac that ran in the background an old and long forgotten Indigo server.
