Poor on the IPad

App is excellent on smaller screens such as the i-phone but absolutely does not compare when used on a tablet. I’d like to see a separate app for iPad. Also both the new iPad app and the iPhone version needs to accommodate commentating on posts, which is not currently a function. I therefore end up consistently logging into a browser on my tablet or phone, just so I can comment. Love the Telegraph, but their developers really need to consider the suggestions from this review to make their apps more functional and useable on different devices rather than trying to have one app which poorly attempts to expand to be used on a tablet. Why is it poor? It does not fit the screen, is pixelated/looks blurry. Here’s hoping this is addressed so that the quality I see on my i-phone is replicated to the iPad. I’d give a 4 star for the apps use on I-phone but only 1-2 stars for iPad. Of course the review has nothing to do with the quality of journalism which is in my opinion, second to none.

Obnoxious. No good chance to review.

I think I saw one article referred to were published that I want to read. And I like subscribing to publications when I see they’re doing good job. But in this case the real story link is cut off and I cannot see more than a few words. So I have no reason to believe I want to subscribe. If I could read it enough to determine that would be great. It is very pushy to subscribe or pay to read a story. I cannot sign up for every publication and most hello need to see information before I decide they are worthy. Some of the story heading sound like a conspiracy theory were crazy. I’m not gonna pay just to find out if they are valuable. I need to know first that they are valuable.

Embedded link too sensitive since latest iOS update

I’ve been using TheTelegraphUK for more than 12 months and it’s worked great. Until now. With the latest iOS update, the embedded links within each page are now far too sensitive. This means when you scroll up/down on a news article, you can’t avoid opening all t e various links and ads to safari. It appears other news apps (CNN and FOX) have the same issue and are introducing a fix on their apps.

Fix the subscription system

Every week iTunes takes my $2, and every week the Telegraph says my subscription is inactive. In the process of “reactivating” my current paid-up subscription (usually several times on the day after Apple took the money), more often than not I lose the article I was trying to read.

This shouldn’t be rocket science. Every other paper I subscribe to manages to know I’m subscribed week after week.

If Brexit works out as well as TheTelegraphUK from its leading proponent, the UK is doomed.

Subscription question

Hello,
I love your newspaper...I wish that we had a nationwide newspaper in America that was the same quality as yours.

If I could make a request...in iTunes subscription, could you offer monthly and/or yearly options, instead of just weekly?
I’d like to just pay once, and then not give it another thought for a long while (if you buy a month or year, you’re stuck with it in case you want to cancel...no refunds, no paying only for what you’ve used, etc).
Keep up the great work!
Bill

Interesting and balanced

The Telegraph provides a full range to UK and world news. “Opinion” is provided as opinion and seldom masquerades as objective news. When reporting science its writers can be exuberant but almost always provide a link to the source research.

I switched to the Telegraph

Thank you, Telegraph, for saving me from Fox and CNN. I initially subscribed on a free trial basis after I noticed the Telegraph had the best coverage and articles on winter vacations and ski resorts. Once I started using TheTelegraphUK , I realized how much I liked the Telegraph’s perspective.

Leigh Howard

Love the Daily Telegraph, it is well written
And always up to date.
So many times it says exactly what I wish
To say.
The Product is always fresh.

Refreshing view from across the pond..

I enjoyed The Telegraph and its insightful reporting and commentary on what is happening in Great Britain and the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, particularly as it applies to the epic battle over Brexit.

Telegraph news app

Unable to maintain log-in when accessing linked articles. Would recommend this news app to others if I was able to do so. Apple subscription indicates I should have access to premium articles however after logging in to this site am informed that is not the case.

Constantly opens Safari

TheTelegraphUK is basically useless; it is a thin wrapper for a web view, which would be fine, but almost every time I try to scroll it, it opens some random telegraph page in Safari and I need to switch back to it, leaving dozens of Safari tabs. Very annoying!

App automatically closes clicking on a subset of articles

This new “feature” has been introduced in last 2 months! Please address!

Great app

Only complaint is more and more of the content is subject to the payment regime.

Reading the Telegraph

For a Yank back in the USA, reading the Telegraph is like secretly drinking a cup of tea in the late afternoon.

The Telegraph is a quick pick me up to keep me in touch with the other side of the pond.

Further, Brexit is even better than Game of Thrones.

I may even find out the endings to both by June!
