This used to be a clean simple easy to use App years ago. But the past few versions have gotten over inflated with garbage features. And after the past 2-3 updates a damned RATING REQUEST constantly pops up every single time I launch FreeRSSReader . So now after a few weeks of dismissing the message here I am logging in to rate FreeRSSReader and giving it a low mark intentionally due to the annoyances now being baked into what was once a useful especially App. Hopefully this will stop the irritating pop up message.

You can’t delete a feed; I didn’t get any feedback when trying to add my first one, and hit the Check Mark three times, which added the feed three times. I tried to delete it, but every time I hit the remove button, it just simply asks if I want to rename the feed ): Right off the bat FreeRSSReader is unusable

This is a good solid app that does what it states it will.

Little problems, just miss the functionality of the old version. Such as the auto update when opened, notification of unread articles and of course the one button for "read all" on the button with in thumbs reach. A good example of an app that was perfect and got "upgraded"

And it keeps asking to rate FreeRSSReader .

FreeRSSReader would be great if I didn't have to close it out and restart it every time I use it. It locks in the loading mode and has to be restarted every time. It also gives you a pop up every time it opens asking for a review, which is annoying and only makes me want to give a bad review for how they are begging for reviews.

Just downloaded and it seems to be clean and functional but, when trying to delete RSS feeds that got doubled up, I could only rename not remove. If that was fixed it would be a lot better

One previous version didn't even load news, just crashed. Current version works pretty well, but if you leave it running in the back it drains battery. In a cycle it was responsible for 70% of the battery usage which shouldn't be possible. I'm guessing due to bad implementation of add banners? Great little app if these issues could be cleaned up, despite the scammy add banners.

I love how little space FreeRSSReader takes up, its privacy and simplicity. It's the only way I can get local news. I'd only add two things in exactly this order: a dark view mode, and a widget. Besides that I simply love FreeRSSReader! It's effective, bugless and doesn't glitch.

Is it possible to get notifications when a newsroom you follow posts an update ? That’s the only thing that would make this better for me. That’s a feature I was really, really hoping for, but I didn’t see any option for notifications 🙁

I compared a few apps for pulling down a few feeds and found this one worked the best for me. Operation is straight-forward. I would like to see a few more options, like a setting for retention time of the items in a feed. Otherwise, a nice little feed reader!

I use FreeRSSReader everyday on the iPhone. I didn’t have an iPhone for about 2 years and this was FreeRSSReader I missed the most. I haven’t found anything that compares. It is straightforward and simple to use which is what I look for. There is no special login or account required to use, and it is light weight. Hats off to the developer and anyone that had a hand in this. It just keeps getting better. Thank you!

Delivers content in a simple manner, and also has a good UI/UX.

I had to use this when FreeRSSReader I was using was terminated, works very well, I use it daily.
The only thing is the review! Too often.

You put in your links, you get a feed. You read it. No ads, nice search tool to find RSS links, it's as good as RSS readers get.

Nice simple way for me to follow web comics.

Make sure to rate and review right away or else it will ask you every other time you open FreeRSSReader .

Perhaps one of the last bastions of actual reporters doing the very best factual reporting of news that can be found. No bias, no political axes to grind. No political correctness or softball discussion of real events. I may not like all of the truth but there it is in my face. All straight arrows pointing at the truth and giving the reader something to think about.

East to add/delete feeds. The only thing I would like to see improved is saving the font size. But it perpetually nags me to write another review. Another nag for another review and I succumbed to the nag, but alas my choice is limited to "Edit" previous Review. So I guess I will do that also in the future. I wonder how long the review will grow. EO edit 1.

Straight forward design. Just lists the articles without images so it is easy to see the whole list without having to scroll all the time. Doesn’t require an account on a web site where they track what you read and then sell that info to advertisers.

After seeing the news agencies and wire services update their apps to become bulky graphic oriented monsters, what a relief to find an app that just gives you news feeds. And for a buck you can get rid of the ads! Keep It simple stupid is how I like it.

This has been quite handy for me. Even though I like it, the rating requests are too frequent. And I’ve already done one review plus an update.

Does what I need!

I can use any feed I can find on the web. Maybe not as fancy as others but I like it.
Sure there is room for small improvements (auto-update, interface upgrade, browser update, etc...), but hey... what app doesn’t?
