Shopper’s Delight!

I’ve been using ShopperLiteShoppingList for maybe four years now and I absolutely love it!! I shop at least once a week and I keep my lists on rotation. It’s so convenient and you can really personalize it to your liking! Love!

Too many steps to add

When I first got ShopperLiteShoppingList, once you clicked to add items, it would stay on the add screen and you could just keep adding. If I typed apple I could add apples and then also applesauce would show up and I could click that and add it as well. Now I click apples, it goes back to the list screen and I have to click add items then type apples again. I used to just type milk and click all the types of milk I needed. It's a small annoyance but enough that I will start looking at other apps. There are lots out there.

Edit: I have found that using the add item at the bottom of the screen lets me add as many items at a time as I want. Much more useful so I have added a star.

Extremely useful app

With one small-ish exception, this is everything I was looking for in a shopping list app. For me, the best feature is I can have one master shopping list but only see the relevant items based on the store I'm going to. I always disliked having a grocery list, Home Depot/repair list, misc shopping list, etc, and now I don't have to. :) I tried many shopping list apps and other 'list' apps and kept running into issues getting a system like that implemented. Being able to share the list with others too (and allow them to edit it) is a huge plus.
The only thing stopping me from giving it five stars is I wish there was a way to add items to my list other than from within ShopperLiteShoppingList itself...like Siri or IFTTT integration, or email.

Store info missing customization

It's a pretty program with good coupon integration and store awareness. The main issue with ShopperLiteShoppingList and many others is that they don't really fit the nature of stores in the real world.

Rather than every store having the same items per aisle, and it merely being a matter of choosing the order of the aisles in each store, the reality is that the location of items vary for each store. So, instead of all dairy items being in the dairy aisle, it's quite possible that in store A, the milk and yogurt will be together while the cheese is in another aisle, but that in store B, the cheese and yogurt will be together and the milk will be somewhere else. One would think this is self-evident, however ShopperLiteShoppingList and many others provide no way to deal with this situation. Once you change the aisle for a given item in a particular store, it changes for every store.

Looks interesting, but confusing, and doesn't have multiple store per item

In the reviews, I got the impression that I could have multiple stores per item. I shop at several grocery stores and like to have some items available at the different stores, other items available at only one store. With Shopper, when I select different stores, I get the same list. Why have many stores all with the same list? I want one master grocery list, filtered by the particular store.

Besides, this is a very confusing interface. I've been using shopping apps for many years, and after playing with this one for over an hour, I still can't figure much of it out. I will give them this, there are a lot of Help screens. I know, because I found them. Twice. Can't find them now to save my life. This seems typical of ShopperLiteShoppingList. There's a lot here, but very hard to navigate.

Good, with a few quirks...

All-in-all a good app, and I expect to upgrade to the paid version, but I've got a few quibbles. Chief among them:

1) The USDA alerts are an interesting idea, but there need to be options to fine-tune them. Ideally, I would like them either to expire once viewed or be able to turn them off altogether. Geographic sensitivity would be helpful, if not practical. (Right now, if I put "ground beef" on my list, I get an alert about less than ten cases of tainted meat which were recalled on the opposite end of the country three months ago and were only distributed to restaurants & caterers.)

2) It would be nice to be able to fine-tune the lists to the item level (for instance, there are some canned goods which I might look for at my local Whole Foods, but not at the regular supermarket and vice versa). On a related note, it would be nice if I could copy icons from one aisle to another (so that I can use the same icon for "Canned Goods (Whole Foods)" as I do for "Canned Goods").

3) Support for Trader Joe's?

Great app

After a couple of weeks I'm still using the free version and considering purchasing the full version, not sure what I'd gain from it. This is a great app, very functional and easy to use. It does take a little effort to get it set up for your stores and lists but well worth it. I'm not sure if I'm missing something but I don't understand why some people are getting their undies in a bunch over the ads. They are very subtle and I don't even notice them most of the time. I tried a couple of other shopping list apps and this was the best of the bunch and free!

By

But can you trust it?

Users should know that this company inserted ads into its paid version after users paid for it -- an untrustworthy move. ShopperLiteShoppingList also seems to track users' shopping habits to target ads at them. Because of recent news stories about how some Americans have lost their credit cards because creditors have been tracking, and assessing the desirability of, their shopping patterns, users should think very carefully about using an app that tracks shopping habits when it comes from developers who have already betrayed their customers' trust. A recent search for apps that will handle a "shopping list" has returned more than 260 results. Certainly one of them both fits the bill and comes from trustworthy developers.

I just down loaded ShopperLiteShoppingList and ShopperLiteShoppingList is great and very useful, easy to use. But I see a little drawback in it. when people go for grocery shopping, its easy to explore the store by aisle number. Like say coffee which is comes under "beverages". If there is aisle number people don't have to go wandering reading aisle titles. The same way with the Departmental Stores. Merchandisewise, the First floor, Second Floor,etc...etc. I like to see this updates if this is possible.

thank you.

Too Much, Now Cumbersome

I used ShopperLiteShoppingList exclusively for grocery shopping for one feature over almost all others ... I could enter list items quickly. That is now broken by the latest upgrade, where the quick entree box retains the prior search term instead of clearing it after an item is added. ShopperLiteShoppingList also has far more options than I ever need ... I just want to make a basic grocery list, without calling on all sorts of Internet bells and whistles. An ad-free lite version that stays true to the core idea of how folks make a hand-written list and that returns quick-entree to its previous behavior would be perfect ... oh, too late ... I found something better already.

Pay version and extra 1.99/year to opt-out of adds, webapp doesn't add

Trying out the product, I immediately found the companion web app not to be working in the most simple case, adding an item to a list. So this useless if you decide on the pay version is suppose to sync with the web app. It's an extra $1.99/year to opt out of the adds if you decide to upgrade. Other than this it looks nice, great color scheme easy on eye. Would like to see app badge update the number of items in the card. Would consider if web interface was working and the purchase price was raised to cover a 1 time fee to opt-out of adds instead of a yearly charge.

Helpful

ShopperLiteShoppingList is helpful and makes grocery list making much easier. I like that it keeps track of prices so I know how much I'm spending. One fix I'd suggest though, is to return to the previous format where you can see the total cost of items in your cart on the list page (right now I have to go to the cart to see the total cost of the items in my cart). Great app!

Lifesaver

I customized ShopperLiteShoppingList to the aisles on my store. I no longer need to go back and forth between aisles. I start in Aisle 1 and continue through to 23. (I attach my iPhone to the shopping cart using one of those bicycle devices). I have the bags open in my cart and I scan each item as I go along. When I get to the register I simply point the scan gun to the reader and it tallies my order. Super fast time saver!!!

Great App

I use ShopperLiteShoppingList everyday. I use its basic functions for my lists, but I also use it for my family's "wish lists". So when a holiday or birthday comes around I can just peek at that person's list and I'm all set to go. These lists I lock with a passcode. It works great! I also like u loading the cart back onto the list for places like Costco where I usually get the same stuff. Thanks!

Groceries

I was trying to diet. And you know what they say. Only go in for what you need. If you get other stuff, it's usually impulse buy and something you are craving not what you need. So ShopperLiteShoppingList helped me get what I need isle by isle. Then get out right away. Up until you are waiting in line and a freaken snickers bar is yelling your name. Other than that it's great.

Love this app!!

It keeps all my shopping list organized and in one place. But what I love the most is that once you make a list, you can save it and keep using it for future use or you can edit it depending on your cooking needs without having to make an entire list again. I totally recommend ShopperLiteShoppingList.

Works great, but...

It's great, until it updates. Then items I've added disappear and I have to enter them again. I thought it was just the free version that did this, so I bought an upgrade. Still happening.
And it deleted items again, and I have premium. Thinking I should delete ShopperLiteShoppingList and go back to using pen and paper because I still have to add items that I previously saved. ShopperLiteShoppingList no longer saves me time, it wastes it.

By

Time Saver

I used to use a palm five with a similar app on it, but it's gone now. I was very happy when I found ShopperLiteShoppingList which works quite well to enter a list, proceed aisle by aisle through the store, and track prices. Customization is also possible if you want to sort by aisle number rather than by type.

No support

I have had ShopperLiteShoppingList for many years and enjoyed it. It’s worked well. I had it as a paid subscription so I didn’t have the ads. I’m not sure what happened with the programmers and support people as I renewed my subscription last month, but have yet to be able to get in and use that subscription. I have sent emails to support and received nothing in return. I can’t log in nor can I reset my password I would highly suggest don’t pay for the subscription and waste your money.

No longer works

I have a gold membership, and loved ShopperLiteShoppingList! But a few months ago, all of a sudden, it just stopped working. I emailed support and they said they’d fix it… and just haven’t. Given there hasn’t been a new version in 3 years, I think they’ve just stopped doing anything with ShopperLiteShoppingList . Cancelling my membership and finding something else!

By

Garbage support!

Used to be a great app that allowed sharing lists across multiple devices but that feature quit working. App hasn’t been updated in over 3 years. Tried downloading both the original Shopper as well as the Shopper Lite, can’t even make a new account. If ShopperLiteShoppingList doesn’t even work as advertised it should just be removed from ShopperLiteShoppingList Store!

By

Used for years but now they make you buy it

I have loved ShopperLiteShoppingList for years but just recently they changed it so it won’t link to other phones and now I can’t do anything without upgrading to the paid version. Very disappointing. Time to find a new app

So disappointed

I have had ShopperLiteShoppingList for probably a decade. Loved it so much to able to put in prices, specific information like brands of products, and even your own notes, & stores multiple lists. All the features were great. As of yesterday, my account has mysteriously been deleted, and now all of the features that were available in the free app you now have to subscribe and pay for. ShopperLiteShoppingList no longer works to sign using Facebook, it errors. ShopperLiteShoppingList no longer works to try to recover your password, it errors.

Zero stars as of right now.

Don’t trust this app

I used it for years until yesterday when they deleted ALL my lists! I contacted them because I thought I had caused the crash. They informed me that they were holding my lists HOSTAGE AND COULD GET THEM BACK IF I PAID FOR THE GOLD PLAN. I never received notification this would be done (I check all my emails and junk mail files)even though they claimed they did. So now after many years, I have to find a new app! Shameful!

Best Grocery Shopping App

I’ve had ShopperLiteShoppingList for several years & it really keeps me on budget. I’m usually spot on with my list & budget & have only been off budget by .50-75¢; that’s not bad at all. Hardest part is adding everything in at the beginning but after that everything it just a click away. I usually add in photos of packaged items too. I also keep notes of any price changes. I recommend ShopperLiteShoppingList if staying within your grocery allowance is necessary.
