The application were planned to release HongKongWeather in Chinese first, and followed by an English version originally. I released it worldwide, including the US Store, because I thought many people are leaving their own country and staying in Hong Kong. If they keep using their original iTunes account then they will not have chance to see HongKongWeather if I only publish it in Hong Kong Store.
Sorry I released a single language version 1.0 and it made things so confusing. I hope the internal testing version 1.1, which come with infomation in English, will be a helpful tool for all people who stay, or going to visit Hong Kong.

English information added into version 1.1. Please send me email if you found any parsing issues because it only tested for less than 2 weeks and still need more cases to test it. Thank you very much.

Would be nice to have auto update complication on the watch face. Right now you need to open the to update. Also HongKongWeather update is quite slow.

One more thing. Any chance to support WiFi/lte data?

iPhone version of HongKongWeather is great but the iPad version only shows temperature. It needs the same functionality of the iPhone version (like forecast commentary) included.

UPDATE: my bad - all the functionality is there! Just need to tap the screen once and it will appear. So simple I couldn't figure it out. Great app.

I don't understand why people who are not interested in HK weather would bother to write negative reviews, which only serve to bring down the overall rating and it's just not fair.

As someone who lives in Hong Kong, I can tell you that this provides far more detailed information than the Yahoo widget that is pre-installed on the iPhone and that the Weather Bug application is next to useless here. This connects to the Hong Kong Observatory and provides all of the information that you need, whether you live here or you're planning a trip here.

I'm having trouble getting this to display in English (which is why I only rated it 4 stars instead of 5) but the developer has been VERY responsive to my emails!

Question on the iPad version - on the iPhone I can tap on the a menu button on the top left to access access storm track, radar images, cameras, AQHI info. How do I access these information on the iPad?

I like HongKongWeather as it contains accurate data and warning/notifications. However, can you provide a bit more info on Today's widget, such as a simple high/low forecast and weather icons for the next 2 days? It has a big empty space on the right hand side of the widget.

Simple, clean and very usable user interface. Excellent graphic!

Problem with the "Detail" screen though. English display of the "Detail" screen is not updated and contains wrong information. In the Chinese display mode, the "Rainfall" screen display "Visibility" erroneously.

So I'm an American, and I lived in Hong Kong at one time. This is a nice, simple app and the developer is active and thoughtful. Why complain about a foreign language app? You would rather have less choice? I'm glad to hear an English version is on it's way - I can speak a little Cantonese, but can't read it. Still, I can get most of the important info without having to read.

Does everything it promises and does it well. I use it every day. Information it provides is great. Only request would be if it could provide pollution data also.

This is an ESSENTIAL app for every iPhone and iTouch owner in Hong Kong. It gives up to the minute current weatherinformation as well as a day by forecast. It is so much better than the weather app that comes pre-installed. Don't hesitate-get it now!

HongKongWeather is really great. By using HongKongWeather, I can check information about the wheather, typhoon location, humidity, temperature,etc. What the greatest thing is HongKongWeather support push function that we can receive instant information.

That's exactly what you need if you are located in HK.
Gets all info from awful but useful HK observatory website and puts it directly on your iPhone.
Hope push notifications could alert you on typhoon/thunderstorm signals issued.
Overall, great app.

I'm work in Tokyo but frequently travel to Hong Kong for business. For me HongKongWeather is fantastic and lets me check up on the weather while packing for travel. Thanks a lot for developing this application and for making it free.

HongKongWeather pulls information directly from the official HK Observatory Web site, and packages it in a very effective way. It's fast, simple and very handy. I especially like how any weather warnings are presented in a red bar at the top of the main screen - very clever.

I wonder why people think that the "Hong Kong Weather" should include other US's cities? Or maybe I should ask other weather's app developers to , add more Hong Kong Weather's information or Chinese language support at the US weather App? But I'm agree that adding English language at HongKongWeather. Once again, HongKongWeather is great for the Hong Kong People!!!!!

A very well done app. Beautiful access to information. Would love to have tropical cyclone track now that it's typhoon season. Push notification works perfectly. I'll be the first one to know when work has been cancelled due to the weather. Keep up the good work.

The stupidity of some reviewers amazes me. I have no use for HongKongWeather, but it's clear that this is an essential for anyone who lives in or travels to hong kong. Why would you download HongKongWeather if you live in colorado and then complain about it? You're the idiot for downloading an app you have no use for, don't hurt the developer because you can't read before you click download.

I have been using HongKongWeather for a WHILE, and it is great! The information is always update and accurate, and the default interface is nice and clear. I always check the weather forecast with it before I head out so that I'd put on the right clothes for that day! It even has the option to send out notifications, so I could know soon after there is a weather warning.

Firstly, I must agree with xPheer. HongKongWeather is obviously for Hong Kong citizen, I can't see a point to complain about anything about the area.

There are two apps in AppStore which provide weather information of Hong Kong. I would greatly recommend this one over another. There is no other reasons but HongKongWeather has better, far better graphics then the other one.

By the way, I also suggest you to check out other apps by this developer. Those are good local apps for Hong Kong people.

I am in Hong Kong for business these few days and found this invaluable. A typhoon is looming and there is no way of telling the typhoon signal and detailed forecase with the built in app. I found myself checking HongKongWeather every hour as all my meetings will be cancelled in case of a signal #8. My view? Any app on the US site should not be location specific but language specific. Now that HongKongWeather is in English, it should definite stay in the US site. Can we have more cities from other developers please.
