Unable to set book markers, unable look up word definitions, etc.

Since the IOS 18, when I read the Chinese books, it is displaying weird formatting and fonts. Before never had issues, please fix it, thanks

I just downloaded ReadEra to try it as I need an app for epub and cbz files. I was testing out an epub file and I tried to scroll from page 1 to page 2 and instead it scrolled from page 1 to a random page in the middle of the book. It’s done this twice in less than 2 minutes (once to page 105 and once to page 38). I’m out.

Please add a feature on iOs that allows us to highlight text and annotate. I just want to read Fight Club and highlight my favorite parts. I’m not asking much. Just the ability to annotate

I don’t know if it’s the same devs with the android version but I feel like cross sync suppose to be a thing for the platform. Would help a lot if it’s added.

ReadEra is good so far but there are so many cool features like audio that this iOS version doesn’t have yet. Very disappointing but at least we have some type of version now I guess…will give more stores after a few updates. Please add audio soon!

This is a great app, but it really needs highlighting, notes and translation functions. I think it would be perfect then. I’ve never used the android app, so I don’t have anything to compare it to but apps from the AppStore.

i love ReadEra , though i will say android has more features . ( i have this on both a samsung phone and an ipad ) e.g. it is not possible to quote / annotate or read with text to speech .

Les diré algo, esta es la mejor app que he probado para leer pdfs pero de un tiempo para acá tengo un bug que no me permite estar tranquila, lego un par de páginas y se retrocede y no me deja avanzar en el libro. Es realmente incómodo, llegué a pensar que era mi dispositivo pero cambié de dispositivo y tengo el mismo problema. Por favor arréglenlo 🙏🏻

The android version was heavenly for all the customizability. I also used the “Find in document” feature. I hope it gets added also to iOS! Best book reader if it does, can’t wait for more features :)

The best app I’ve found so far!

Here’s how to use/avoid hiccups:

1. I saw a review complaining about the page jumps and although that can be annoying it was actually a blessing in disguise. The page jumps happen 1) if you’re in the table of contents and you press on the chapters name (ex. Chapter 9: The Everafter) ReadEra will automatically jump to that chapter. It can also happen when 2) you press on the chapter name (ex. You’re reading chapter 7 and you press on the CHAPTER 7 in bold letters) it will jump you back to the table of contents.

This can easily be avoided by not pressing on the Chapters name. It’s just an easy way for people to go from chapter to chapter without going into the settings and yes it can be finicky but I like the flexibility.

2. EPUBs work best for this as you can edit your font, word spacing, line spacing and so on vs PDF you are stuck with whatever font and spacing the book is premade with. If you do have a PDF you can easily convert it online and then upload it.

3. There is no way of getting rid of the line in between the pages, I’ve tried everything and haven’t go far so learn to live with it since it doesn’t harm you or the book lol.

That’s all that I can say! ReadEra is amazing and I love using it! I’ve downloaded and uploaded at least 30-50 books and it doesn’t affect ReadEra at all. It loads up fast and remembers the place you left off app! No need for a bookmark or worries that you’ll lose your spot as it tracks your reading with you!

I love love LOVED ReadEra on Android. So happy to see it on IOS. I’m hoping and praying for annotations, highlighting and TEXT SEARCH. So excited for the rest of the Android features to make it to IOS. I can hardly wait.

Have been using this ebook reader for a couple weeks now. I initially downloaded it to try because developer claims ReadEra won’t collect any personal info related to me or my device. I stuck with ReadEra because of how well it works.

Without having to first download EPUB files to my computer and then sync to my iOS devices I was able to download the most modern version of EPUB files directly from the web to my iOS devices and then open in this ebook reader.

I’ve also recently begun using the notenik app on macOS for notes, journaling, and task management. EPUB files generated by Notenik are viewed perfectly by this ebook reader. EPUB files have great utility outside of reading books authored or published by others. ReadEra makes a great compliment to notenik for those who incorporate a “get things done” methodology and workflow with Notenik. Knowledge Management is front and center stage here. this app, ReadEra, is therefore now part and parcel of my most frequently used apps.

Enhancement requests: (1) Basic search within an open document (2) highlighting text for word lookup using built in iOS dictionary, copying, etc - in essence, the same text handling found throughout iOS

this app has 7 color modes, Day with 6 other, two with high contrast! That is helpful with certain documents and especially print replicas with their illustrations, engravings and pictures. You can selectively disable brightness and color mode controls on the screen. It can scroll or page with use of both orientations. That’s more than I need. :-)

I almost forgot, on my iPhone 12/iOS 17.6.1 the irritating Swipe Up bar stays visible. Cosmetic, but could be fixed.

Finally landed on iOS. I appreciate it, and everything works like the Android version. But is it possible to add Google Drive like in the Android version? If so, I could sync books and my progress between these two platforms.

This was the best reader app I used on Android.

The iOS version is missing some of its killer features found on Android:
1) Bookmarking and being able to see all bookmarks
2) Searching through file
3) Syncing across devices

Think these features would help propel ReadEra to be among the top iOS reader apps.

Amazing app on android. I wish you bring to iOS the functionality to sync between devices. I currently read in my android tablet and would like to be able to resume the reading on my iPhone as needed.
