At first I thought HiPaint was great and I was excited for the reference photos, but then I started to Draw on it and it had a glitch. This glitch would erase my whole layer and you can’t undo it ether so you’re just stuck with your blank layer and you have to start all over again. One of the worst things about this is that it happens when you have been using it for hours and you almost finished and it just deletes itself on you. I wouldn’t be so mad if this only happened once but this has happened multiple times and there’s no way to fix it. is this only a me thing or is this a regular issue? this would be a great app for someone who can’t afford the expensive art apps if this wasn’t here.

They definitely fixed some glitches like getting kicked out. I haven’t been getting kicked out or lose my progress when I used it. Or my device is just really strong. I would say that there are other drawing apps that are better though. It’s also annoying how when you zoom out really fast you get sent back to closer. As well as how the eye drop you have to manually click the circle. The filter was alright, you can’t adjust it though.

The brushes are nice, it’s not the best but it has pen pressure.

HiPaint is good for people who want to draw and feel like they are in paid app even though they’re not. It works alright for me but he reason I give it 3 stars and 4/5 is because of a glitch that happens to me all the time. I’m drawing on my canvas and all of a sudden it kicks me out. Usually I’m not mad and I go back in. But not even minutes later the entire canvas turns into green and my drawing is gone! I cant undo or anything!! It’s very frustrating because I spent 1 plus hours on a drawing just for it to be deleted!! If you’re seeing this review please fix these glitches! HiPaint has a lot of potential!

I’ve been using this app for some time now and I’ve grown to like it. At first however I was really frustrated, there’s no tutorial to show what buttons do what and it took me a week to figure out how HiPaint itself worked. There are also a large amount of bugs within HiPaint , such as; brushes randomly spraying large spots mid-stroke and un-doing in chunks, occasional crashing and loss of progress, completely random layer-clearing that can’t be undone. overall HiPaint is usable but it can be VERY frustrating, especially for a newer artist.

I’m and disappointed with HiPaint and for son reasons, Nm 1.Every time it glitches it kicks you out of HiPaint . Nm 2. when you try to save your progress (while glitched) it deletes ALL of it on your project! Nm 3. You can’t animate with layers, basically your animating with sketches but now that you have the animation you need to do line art and color it (I do line art and coloring on diff layers) now it’s stuck as a sketch and going over each layer to make the color and line art is a pain! So if you read this please fix these it would be a great help. And I will change my rating, but behind that it’s a good app.

It’s crashes on me, a lot. I have ample amount of space on my iPad and tried exiting out of all my other apps I was using and that didn’t help. I’m so confused why when you click on things with your Apple Pencil it immediately goes away, like if you’re choosing a brush for instance, you have to click the pin just to be able to find a brush without it disappearing after a split second when you move your pencil away, this is the same for a lot of the tools. If you go to click a color, good luck finding one in the split second it lets the color window open for, when you’re not hovering over things, it always has them disappear.. I’m not sure if this is only for the 6th gen iPad Pro because it has hover feature or what but at the end of the day.. HiPaint unusable for me at least. I did want to like it. I tried making a screen recording to show the issues and within 2 minutes it crashed. I see a lot of good reviews so maybe it’s just my iPad or perhaps the glitches and issues are more recent idk.. If this was a brand new app, especially for IOS, I would have never given it the green light to be released and we’d be back to developing.. Good luck.👍

Sometimes when i am using HiPaint while drawing, it kicks me out. It does this about once a week. I’ll be almost done with my drawings that I worked very hard on and it kicks me out randomly. I open it back up - poof - nothing saved. Just me staring at a blank canvas, crying.

So, I saw the YouTuber kooleen using this and saying this was like HiPaint procreate so I decided to download it but there’s this annoying thing that happened to me while I was drawing. It just randomly crashed and I lost almost all of my progress and I worked very hard of the drawing so I was really frustrated. I didn’t completely lose all my progress all I lost was some of the things in the drawing, like the hair, the head, and the torso. All there was left was the face. Download this if you wanna be frustrated and annoyed maybe I should of not deleted iblis paint and downloaded this instead. I was thinking of buying procreate on my birthday but I changed my mind, all because of HiPaint I recommend using iblis paint better. The last thing I have to say about HiPaint is that the background layer isn’t really useful because when I tried to use that layer to draw the background it drew over the drawing. I hope you would fix these glitches.

As the title says it’s great to draw with it’s basically procreate the main problem i deal with is it a crashing for example I’d import a image and it jus crashes or I’d be in the middle of drawing and it crashes it’s the main issue that I deal with.

HiPaint has so much potential and it runs fine for the most part. My two main gripes are with the lack of brushes and when you draw a big dot appears out of nowhere and can only erase it. Also you guys should really add timelapse.

I have been using HiPaint for a year now, and suddenly the color has gone very light even though I have it on the darkest color when I use my apple pen. The only way I can get it to not be so faded is to keep repeating the brush strokes until it is in its original color. Please fix this, thank you 🙏

You need to talk more in HiPaint description what is free and what is not. Also I experienced a bug where if there was a video more recent than the photo I wanted in my photo library then the photo would say, “Downloading: 0%” and then that screen would disappear again and I would have to press + and then press “open picture” again and it wouldn’t work.

This drawing app is one of the best I’ve seen, its easy to use, not hard to get around (etc.) There is one problem though. I will be drawing and randomly HiPaint will crash. It happens frequently, sometimes when I get on my recent progress will be saved, or it wont and I’ll have to do work over again. Please fix this! Thank you.

I love HiPaint, it’s pretty much a free procreate just with some differences. One of these differences bothers me and it is the animation feature. The problem is the fact i can’t have 2 layers on a single panel (not sure if that’s the correct word to use so apologies), if I try to make another layer I just end up with another panel and it’s annoying because I want to be able to sketch out my animation and color it and such. Hopefully they improve this. Another problem is the imported brushed group, how are we supposed to import brushes??? There’s no explanation nor no way I can find to import brushes so if there’s an actual way to let me know, but if there’s no way to then what’s the point of that imported brushes group??? Hopefully this also gets improved. Other than that HiPaint ’s pretty good, not a big fan of the default brushes and am having difficulty making a brush to my liking because I’m pretty sure the settings are sorta of limiting or at least for me they feel they are, but I might just not understand them too well.

I really like HiPaint so far. all the features are good and its very much like procreate. The only problem is that, like with most of the other reviews, it glitches. Personally, the glitches arent very bad for me. It barely takes any progress away. This may not be said for others though. Minus the glitching its a nice app.😊

I love HiPaint. It’s like a free version of procreate. The brushes are really good, I don’t have much to say. But there are some annoying glitches.
It randomly starts working slowly, sometimes it kicks me out of HiPaint . One time, I was erasing something, then the screen randomly turned into a glitchy green thing with yellow parts, then it immediately kicked me out. My art thankfully wasn’t erased, but a part of it was gone.

HiPaint is a nice art app it just needs for fixes and improvements, for example there are no speed paints, When you make an animation you can’t create a new layer because it counts as a new frame and then you should add 3d models and after fixing all of that you’d probably be the best free mobile art app.

This is amazing! Because I am broke 🥲 I tried this, also tried by YouTuber and I downloaded it to see how it is vs ibispaintx and it is a bit complicated but it’s free unlike procreate 🤷‍♀️. Plus by the sounds of it it’s basically the same as procreate 👍. I’m not giving it a five though because there are some things that aren’t on here that are on ibispaintx like alpha lock or something like that. Otherwise, great job! 👏

Found this a while back & decided to try it out. I usually draw my laptop but it’s nice to have options & I use to draw on my ipad before I got my laptop’s drawing tablet. This program is pretty nice to mess with & I like that it allows me to not only save in different file types but allows me to choose some of the brushes for the eraser setting. It’s also interesting to see how many strokes I did in the art at the bottom of the screen.

My only complaint is how the layers are named, it’s a small nitpick but I can’t ignore it. The layers by default are numbered(you know, you have layer 1 with a new canvas & add a new layer gets me layer 2 & so on) but if you rename it or delete a layer it keeps counting. By this I mean if I have two layers(number of layers doesn’t matter this is jus an example) & deleting layer 2 or renaming it then add a new layer instead of the new layer being called “layer 2” it’s now “layer 3”. This goes on & no amount of closing HiPaint nor renaming changes this.

This luckily only happens with each canvas so each canvas has it’s own layer count(so canvas 1 has a 7 layer count, canvas 4 has a 9 layer count but new canvas have it reset) but it’s still really annoying. Again it’s a nitpick & not that big of an issue but it’s something that I dislike.

I really enjoy the way the brushes flow, it’s very smooth and natural, would be perfect if it weren’t for the lag. It runs really slowly, if that could get straightened out, this would be a huge contender in mobile drawing apps.

HiPaint is really good if u want a good free digital art program but this doesn't have a blending/blur tool a time lapse and it also keeps on changing My view point to kind of "fixed"

HiPaint has been amazing but there are really annoying glitches as I was drawing something it kicked me out of the appp and half my drawing was deleted till that day it has been crashing over and over again please fix this 🧡

I love it. I've been struggling with traditional art for so long, and since I can't save most of it. This has been a huge help since it's easy. Ibis doesn't help beginners understand EVERYTHING, and how to use every tool...and I'm gonna get a iPad soon so I can use this amazing app a lot better❤️ I recommend just any tablet with a pen (not I stylists) but a pen.... For the best experience? If your used to writing on paper like I am. AND a tablet case that feels and sounds like paper🤤 hope this helps? Well it helps me cause I can't make things make since.. 😭🙏

HiPaint is so amazing! It is basically Procreate, but free. A couple things that would make it better are: 1. If you could, in example, draw a circle/shape and hold it to make the shape perfect. Like in Procreate. 2. I experienced HiPaint crashing after about fifteen to thirty minutes of use. If that were fixed, drawing would be easier. Other than that, HiPaint is, as I said, Almost Perfect!

So I really like HiPaint but where in the world is the undo button? Is there even one??? Like seriously I can’t find it! Anyway I really wanted to animate but I could not find a good app. I found HiPaint from a video, and when I heard there is an animation tool… I downloaded it that same day. I really like the tools in general and they have a great variety of tools. I like how simple it is but seriously, add an undo button. Edit: I found it lol. It’s a double tap.

I adore HiPaint! I like making art on this it’s a masterpiece but well drawing I noticed a few glitches sometimes it would just log me out of HiPaint and sometimes undoing my work! But other then that HiPaint is really good

This is by far one of the best sketching/art app on here for the reason that it is a full featured drawing app with as many brushes textures shapes or anything you could possibly think of you can use up to 100 layers import pictures to use as a reference or to trace AND ITS TOTALLY FREE!!!! You all the brushes and tools at no cost what so ever nor do you have to deal with those annoying ads like every other app on the market. I really want to give a huge THANK YOU to the developer of HiPaint. Your app is now the only art/drawing app use on both my iPad pro and my Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra thank you very much

HiPaint is an amazing drawing app! I’m still getting used to all the features, but it’s still super good. I’m not sure how to change the opacity of the layers, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out eventually. Also, you can make your own brushes, and everything is free! You can also import brushes which is fun. :) I’ve never used Pro Create before, but this is probably just as good as it, or at least the best free option to it. I highly recommend that you download HiPaint if your looking to make digital art. :D hope you enjoy!

I’ve been using HiPaint for a while and I honestly use it more than IbisPaint X, but as someone who can care less about what 9:16 is as a canvas size CAN U PLS ADD AN IMAGE NEXT TO IT SO I HAVE AN IDEA OF THE CANVAS SIZE🥲 Other than that it’s a really good app and I’d recommend it to anyone🙏‼️Also sometimes I’ll be drawing and out of nowhere the opacity changes, maybe it’s the way I hold my pen idk.

When I say HiPaint is almost exactly like Procreate, I’m meaning it wholeheartedly. I mean, yes, it does have it’s weaknesses but every drawing app does. Everything in HiPaint is free besides getting rid of ads and they don’t even play ads during the time you’re using HiPaint , they only pop up when you open HiPaint . They have a lot of different brushes and settings to play around with. In my opinion the stabilizer is literally perfection, my lineart has never looked so clean and crisp. Unlike Procreate you can only have at most 33 layers, and all I ask is at least maybe 40 but otherwise HiPaint is perfect in every way, but of course everybody will have their own opinions you’ll just have to try it out yourself 😊

I was drawing all the line art for a character and after spending hours HiPaint closed on itself and deleted all my progress. I’m really sad and disappointed in a potentially good app :(

this app is such an amazing app! HiPaint has so many great tools and options to choose from. this app is a lot like Procreate but in my perceptive I think this app is better. Not only that, but this app is FREE! I’ve never came across such an amazing app like this app that is FREE. HiPaint is the best drawing app i have ever seen. Theres so many tools and i don't have to color the background by hand. I love HiPaint and if you make any changes I will still love it. I absolutely love how all the brushes are organized and how we can even change the stroke of the eraser, although sometimes I find it a little difficult to find the best stroke to erase it. My favorite thing about this app is the organized brushes, unlike other apps, where all the brushes are together and you have to scroll forever to find the brush you are looking for. I love how you can even add your own brushes.

I like your app that how it has “ colour dropping mechanism” I just downloaded and it’s good. It’s the free procreate but I was just wondering if you kinda copied it I don’t mean I am offending you I know your game but it’s kinda like the same as procreate but I’m happy you know:)
