Recently I started being unable to access my Orb cameras feed remotely. When I’m on WiFi they load immediately in NetvueNext , but when I am at work I get “Error loading”. Netvue service tells me to reboot cameras and router which I already did, but have no fix beyond that. They asked me to download the new Netvue app too and enable precise location for whatever reason. Since nothing has changed on my end, the issue must be on Netvue end but they do not take responsibility.

The new Netvue Next app is cluttered and not user friendly. Instead of taking me to the list of cameras it takes me to a cluttered screen and now I have to take an extra step to get to the camera feed. There is a saying “Don’t fix it if it ain’t broken”.

Netvue should concentrate their productive energy on ensuring the service works well rather than on redesigning NetvueNext that everyone has gotten used to and adding questionable “improvements”

I have 7 Netvue cameras at my house and I even convinced my neighbors to get them. Unfortunately even with the updated Netvue app “Netvue next” it’s still problematic. It takes 30+ seconds to load the camera, it freezes all the time, and the battery/solar cameras randomly goes offline multiple times a day. Ive moved my modem, I added wifi extenders and I’m still having the same problems I was having before any of the changes. My neighbors cameras do the same thing. I’m over it. I just want something that works consistently. These do not

Oh yeah and on the solar powered cameras you can’t have continuous recording. It records for sometimes as short as 3 seconds then cuts off?! What a waste of time and money.

They need to figure out how to have a more reliable system wether it be the cameras, NetvueNext , or both.

I find NetvueNext so frustrating. I use it for my birdfeeder (was by customer service told to switch to NetvueNext after having numerous issues with the Birdfy app). Recordings often don’t load for days at a time. Many videos are only 2-3 seconds instead of the 30 seconds it’s set to record for. Customer service tells me to check my internet connection - we know this isn’t the issue and it makes no sense that NetvueNext will work one week and not the next. The camera is recording videos, the issue is NetvueNext . If I go under my spouse’s account the same videos are viewable. Camera is high quality but what difference does that make when an app is garbage?

This my second one . The first one was a gift and had nothing but problems solar charger port broke off . The company was good at replacing it but then the camera failed. They were kind enough to send me a replacement feeder. This feeder has worked fine in the beginning now one of the wires connected to the camera frayed. We had to change our Wi-Fi network now the feeder camera won't connect. Tech support sent me guidelines to reset. I have reset 4 times. The last one took only to wake up next morning to find it not working again 😖not enjoyable anymore! About ready to toss it out.

The motion event capture works pretty well, but you can only view one day at a time, which requires lots of clicks before you see if anything happened on that day or not.
A weekly timeline or event histogram would be take NetvueNext from minimally functional to actually useful.

Needs landscape view (at the very least) and live split screen to view multiple cameras simultaneously. Otherwise ok so far.

I’m not computer illiterate but this program drives me crazy. I found a screen that let me turn off alerts; can’t find it again. Camera won’t connect now. Wouldn’t stay connected before.
Had the old program that was in my original instructions and I actually liked it better. I had to delete the program when the alerts interfered with my automobile radio. Alerts caused it to say I was callling myself and radio no longer worked.
New program was suggested by another user (I had put the instructions away). If I find the screen to restore the alerts, I might enjoy the program more.

This seems mostly better than the old app, although time will tell if it randomly decides to drain my battery in the background for no reason occasionally. Unfortunately, while event viewing works, I only get a black screen when trying to view the live birdfy lite camera I have. It worked fine in the old app.

We got the orb mini. This camera works really well in both day and night modes. The movement is a bit trickier when the camera is mounted on the wall, but the picture is clear. No issues with Netvue Next - on par with the last app. All-in-all, a good camera and app.

This is my preferred app to use with my Birdfy cameras. It’s easy to use and seems more stable then some of the other apps for the Birdfy cameras. One change that I would like to see is a way to step through the events , as opposed to having to open each individually. If there is a way to do that I haven’t figured it out. But all in all a decent product.

me and my dad got the birdfy camera and we thought it was broken at first because whenever we got to the wi-fi part and submitted it, it would say “Unknown error” then it seemed like the whole app like “shut down” so we deleted NetvueNext then reinstalled it and we did all the steps again and it worked!

Fyi to any future buyers the ai bird identifier and other things that the box says you have to pay for!

I have had many different indoor cameras. This is my second Netvue camera. I mostly use them as a pet cam for my elderly dog while we are at work. I have the regular orb and now the mini orb. I think the mini has a better picture (including great night vision) and it’s a lot clearer to hear for the 2-way voice (also louder). I love being able to control it with my Alexa devices and being able to go back to any time and see the camera. I wish all of the footage just saved to NetvueNext rather than an SD card, but that’s just my preference (I can still view the SD card through NetvueNext ). Overall a great product!

NetvueNext makes seeing the beautiful birds at our Birdfy so easy. It is such a great upgrade from the previous app. I love getting notifications and talking a quick peak. We watch birds a lot from our porch but there’s nothing like getting this close. The hummingbirds this summer were definitely into posing for selfies.

NetvueNext isn’t perfect, as few applications nowadays are. However, it runs quite well and accomplishes the goal of connecting to my Birdfy feeder and allowing me to view birds. The user interface is intuitive and easy to locate applicable settings. Also, the company is outstanding in receiving feedback and doing their best to implement enhancements as well. Good job!

The Netvue app supports rapid identification of my birds as they approach the feeder. The pictures and videos are clear. NetvueNext is a must have if you purchase any Netvue feeder. My only recommendation is to continue refining the AI identification as sometimes it is not completely accurate. Otherwise a great app!

I like the new app, it is smooth and easy to use. I specifically like the still shot and video capture features. I also like the alert setting since I am using NetvueNext for my bird feeder as well as the sentry 3 camera.

This is the 3rd camera I have purchased and I love it. I am not a fan of technology at all and anyone could install these cameras. The image quality is very good and it accurately detects any movement, although it could be annoying for others, I find it too useful when I am away from home, plus I have the option to record videos when I require it with the updated application. Recently my pet got sick and since I couldn't spend the whole day with him, I kept an eye on NetvueNext checking that my husband didn't forget to give him his medicine. 🤗

NetvueNext has very functional interface.
It’s easy to use and had all of the features I need to manage and use my outdoor camera.

The new version of the Netvue app is better than the original app. There is more features than the original. However I do miss the wheel control that moves the camera.

This is my second camera from Netvue and I love them! I have an indoor and outdoor one and both have clear pictures, two way communication and more!
