Genie has not been working since this morning. A message says Genie app is experiencing high traffic and that there might be delays in delivering response or service interruption. I subscribed for a yearly subscription.

Mine Genie app hasn’t been working for hours I’m kind of upset I paid for a year membershi. It keeps saying that it is experiencing high traffic at the moment and that there is a delay but it’s been hours. That’s more than a minor delay.

Follow these steps to resolve intermittent Genie app issues:

Force Stop the Genie App
1. On android, goto "Settings" » click Genie app. » click "Force Stop".

Update Genie to the latest version on PlayStore

Clear Genie App Cache and Data:
1. On your device, goto "Settings" » click "Apps" » select "Genie app" » click "Storage" » click "Clear Data" option. This Clears both data and cache.
2. Relaunch Genie.

Fix Genie unable to contact server/ Genie internet connection errors on Android:

This issue is usually caused by your network. Here is how to fix:

On android, goto "Settings" » "Apps" or "Manage Apps" tab.
Click Genie » "Force Stop".
Next, goto "Storage" » "Clear Data".
Again, got Genie » "Mobile Data" » "Allow Background Data Usage".
Go back to "Settings" » "Connections" » "Mobile Network" » "Network Mode".
Now, put your network on 4G e.g. LTE/3G/2G (auto connect)
Relaunch Genie on android.
