Sorry, but this should just be a feature of the television. In the modern era this is unacceptable. I’d roll my eyes and pay if this were a one-time fee of $4, but being a subscription service is downright unethical. That’s about as much as some of my actual content subscriptions cost per month.

Also, it’s not optional to get premium since it holds you hostage as you type. Literally every time I clicked on a letter with the touch screen, it prompted me to upgrade. It’s pretty annoying to type that way even without being interrupted at every single letter.

I couldn’t get ControlMeister to work but I contacted support and they helped me now it works! Highly recommend it!

It’s good when it’s working, but quite often it disconnects for little to no reason. Sometimes the buttons just don’t register. Is there any way I could get a refund? I’ve done every method of troubleshooting so it absolutely isn’t user error. It bugs me that I paid money for it and lg’s only response is a copy and paste reply with 0 care whatsoever.

I was able to connect to my TV right away. But there are ads every time you push a button. It won’t let you use the remote until you watch the ad.

This is the only app that I don’t have to pay for and I love it

The only negative about ControlMeister is having to sit through ads to use the back button.

I kept losing my remote then downloaded ControlMeister it was simple to use I love it

Like the title said, I downloaded and installed ControlMeister , paid my $3.70 and it didn’t work. I submitted a ticket with their support which was ignored. I had to go out and purchase a physical remote from Walmart. Don’t get scammed like I did.

Couldn’t try it out without signing up. Bought the lowest starting price and it works to change audio turn tv off and on… but won’t change the channels. What a waste.

The fact that I’m asked tk pay a membership to be able to use an app for a tv I already paid over $1500 dollars for is messed up

I signed up for the remote but then it asks for your credit card information and CLEARLY says we won’t charge you I did it like a fool and it charged my card so quick 😳😡😡😡😡 now I’m going to have to do a dispute!!!

I had to watch an ad before it would even connect to the tv the first time I tried to use it. And then after that it didn’t even work. So dumb!

This is the most infuriating app I've ever downloaded. It’s basically just an advertisements pretending to be a remote. Commercials commercials commercials commercials! Cant even use it. Absolute trash!

If you’re looking for an app that will get you a Lotta ads this is the one

4$ a month for a remote or it bamboozles you with never ending adds, nah I think I’ll use something else.

It took 20 min for my phone to connect, every minute it kept on bugging by asking me if I want to upgrade to their membership honestly woulf be way better if it were just a one time fee

So I spent $700 for a new tv that has all kinds of different smart features and LG feels the need to nickel and dime me by making me pay for the remote control app for the tv or force me to deal with so many ads that ControlMeister is unusable… Ridiculous

I bought your tv that has a crap remote that broke forcing me to use ControlMeister. Now you want to charge me or I have to watch ads. Bunch of crap. I’d rather buy a different brand just in spite of this low ball way to make more money off your already overpriced tv. Disappointment.

Picture Ads with every 5 clicks on the remote, they pop up and block your screen making it impossible without getting a full word before an Ad appearing & tricking you to open the dumb Ad. After a few of those picture Ads you then get hit with another 15 sec video Ad.

ControlMeister is extremely frustrating. Constant adds while trying to navigate the tv controls. We’re at an air bnb and there’s no remote so I downloaded ControlMeister and it’s horrible.

Every single time you select the back button there will be a long advertisement. Not cool👎

I can’t even sign in to my Disney account. Not even exaggerating when I say 30 ads popped up during the time I was TRYING to sign in. I’m ordering a real remote off of eBay.

When you use the normal tv remote you can type normally. When it comes to ControlMeister however, every time you click a letter you are prompted to upgrade and it does it every single time you click a letter. The problem is it keeps prompting when i don't need to buy it. I’m not trying to use my phone keyboard I’m using the tv keyboard. Other than that, ControlMeister is pretty good.

We have owned our Lg Smart TV for 5 years, and only because we moved recently did we discover just how much coolness is available when turning on the LG Channels feature.

YOU MUST TURN THIS FEATURE ON IMMEDIATELY!!!!

Not turning this on as soon as I brought our LG Smart TV-enabled unit is perhaps it the largest boneheaded, tech mistake that I have ever committed.

ENABLE it now, and a whole new world of simple-to-use (for use 65-yrs. and older LG devotees) channel surfing opportunities await your index fingers!

I don’t feel the need to reach for remote even if it falls on the floor lol. ControlMeister works faster than my remote and I will pay for the upgrade to get the most out of it

So, this was a good app. Before you got money hungry and put an ad in between every click. Let me tell you how inconvenient this is. My children decided to watch a movie that had a sexy scene, and as I tried to back out, I had to wait for an ad. I am deleting ControlMeister and never using it again.

After installing I pressed one button and was immediately hit with a forced ad, no way to decline or x out! No way! I’m already sick of ads in my shows, now I have to watch an ad every time I want to use the remote too? No thank you.

It is ok to make money, but this application sofocates with ads after ads. Every time you click a new adds pops up. Mr. Developer, be reasonable for crying out loud!A remote control is to control TVs. And once your suggested applications have been downloaded, that should be it! Do a better job, first serving people and the serving yourself with a big spoon.

Ads every 30 seconds. They even went through the trouble of designing a system to where if you close ControlMeister and open it again to avoid an ad, the ad will just come right back until you watch it.

If something happens to your remote and you have to use ControlMeister for an extended period of time, just buy another remote.

I don’t typically take the time to leave reviews. The free version of ControlMeister is full of spam, and made intentionally difficult to use in order to force users into premium subscription model. For a TV remote. This is disgusting predatory behavior that should be rejected and punished by all users. Shame on you dev, you should never be trusted.

Sure it works. Pretty slow and clunky. I’d be more likely to make a one time purchase than to pay a subscription for a tv remote. And if you don’t want the subscription, they’ll jam multiple ads per minute down your throat. Now imagine trying to navigate a remote that can only handle about 1 input ever 3 seconds, then getting absurdly consistent ads in between inputs with a screaming child right next to you because the tv is playing some kind of show that’s not a cartoon. Recently I tried searching a movie, and got 3 ads before I could even finish typing the name of the movie. Subscription models are not meant for apps like this that are clearly meant to be a 1 time purchase. If you use ControlMeister and pay the subscription, just buy a universal remote. It’s cheaper than the subscription and is a 1 time purchase. (You can even make them work on multiple tvs)

It's great when it works, but every few days it stops being able to "see" the TV. Deleting and reinstalling works as a solution but only for a short while. Then it's back to nothing. So glad I just tried the free version. Very disappointing.

I have used 3 free remotes and had no issues immediately connecting ControlMeister . ControlMeister is horrible. I have tried everything from firmware updates resetting my route turning my phone off and on. Nothing. I shouldn’t have bought premium without testing… shame on me for expecting “their” remote to work..

It’s a good app but everytime I’m trying to look something up or type something it would keep recommending the keyword. ControlMeister would literally only let me type one letter then the keyword function would show up.

I downloaded ControlMeister about a month ago. At first the ads were obnoxious and so I bought the payment method to make it ad free. It worked sometimes. But then it started not detecting my tv for some reason. This past week it did but just decided not to today. I am connected to the WiFi on both devices. I tried on my iPad and my phone. I restarted my phone. I took myself off the WiFi and then turned it back on and it still won’t connect or detect the device. I emailed the support system and they haven’t responded. I think ControlMeister has a lot of issues that need fixing and I don’t blame them for wanting to make money but the excessive ads at first were really annoying and obnoxious that you couldn’t press 3 buttons without getting an ad. Then the whole connection thing is a little frustrating to say because it really makes no sense. If you want to charge people and/or make them watch ads at least make your app good enough to detect a tv that is on in general.

I’ve emailed y’all twice from in ControlMeister and got no response. The keyboard function needs to be updated. It pops up when it shouldn’t, and I can’t easily move to the mouse to select once I type something. I X out of the keyboard and ControlMeister essentially takes me back a page. Very upset that I paid for the lifetime subscription of ControlMeister and can’t even get support to write back or solve a seemingly simple issue.
