Enhancements For YouTube Reviews

Donwloaded this then tried to play YouTube on safari after I followed the directions on turning EnhancementsForYouTube on in the settings. No ads were skipped and I was forced to watch ads until they concluded. EnhancementsForYouTube doesn’t do what it says it should do.

I don't want to leave this review - hoping to change it. Downloaded to use on my mac, and turned extention on. Unfortunately, still ads. YT is being used through broswer, google chrome., with extentuon on. Haven't tried on my ipad or my iphone with the actual apps and not a browser yet.

Disappointed.

Did nothing but seems to now get ads with longer times... some over 5 mins...Waste of time
Maybe does not work with my version of Safari

Everything else seems fine about EnhancementsForYouTube , but when you shuffle your playlist it just shuffles the first video and nothing else which really matters when you have a huge playlist and don’t want to just go down 1 by 1 and genuinely shuffle it. When this gets fixed it will be great.

It won’t play any video on YouTube.

Please make the video player as YouTube and there's no live chat section in lives.

If i try to login with my google account it never takes me back to youtube. Stays on google page.

Everything works perfectly and the no ads is amazing but it stinks I can’t put videos in full screen. If this comes I’ll definitely up my review

It has failed to bypass YouTube's anti-adblock today.

Occasionally the menu will bug and you need to close and reopen it, and if you can deal with the default apple video player it’s good, but also laggy menus at times and semi frequent bugs hold this back from being a direct upgrade to the YouTube app, but I can look past those issues and see how much potential this has

Enhance You Tube app is great but Google YouTube is not OK always blocking as if I am a Bot or just plain won’t play thru a playlist without interrupting my session. YouTube won’t play whole albums because of that

Please please please add a way to remove the shorts button from the UI. There's a huge demand to remove all options that lead to shorts.

it pauses when i exit big picture mode/go to a different tab, dark mode doesn’t work on the top and bottom extra bars, feels a little clunky in general. probably worth it for no ads, though.

there are usability issues in some aspects but honestly i dont care please never shut EnhancementsForYouTube down it has changed my life

I tried many extension to block YouTube ads, this one is the first one that simply just works! And I also like the cool feature that I can see the dislike amount.

Add a back button!

increaased ads, shorter times.

My current ad-blocker has been getting buggy on YT - first not showing the adds even though the video wouldn't start for 5 seconfs, then showing the ad for a couple seconds before going to the video. But this extension is flawless so far - no ad, no warning from YT, just straight to the video.

Please add mini player

Only suggestion would be to have the mini player keep working when you go back to the Home Screen. That way you can keep watching and browse for other videos.

Great app, blocks Sponsors and Ads. Love the recent update! It really fixed a lot of the issues that I originally was going to give EnhancementsForYouTube for stars for! Please keep this updated! This works great like SmartTube for Google TV!

Before I downloaded this application, it was during when Youtube was enforcing their own anti-ad block on their site which caused a lot of backlash. I originally had a different ad block till the site itself gave me the three videos and playback is disabled. I had to use an different app to watch Youtube ad-free but of course, it didn't function as good as the actual website so I had to find a different ad block and I found this one. Basically, this is a life saver and I am thankful that I downloaded this!

At first I was a little skeptical but after installing it and using it for a month I am honestly impressed. Runs like magic. No a single ad not even on the youtube movies[free with ads ]

I too was skeptical, after seeing some reviews. I tend to use other browsers, for their more robust support of extensions. But this tool gets the job done. AND the developer is REALLY responsive, and appreciates feedback. The last issue I experienced, thinking that extension was no longer working, was related to my needing to "Allow" the extsion in it's permissions, specifically for the two default YouTube sites in the settings. I hadn't disabled them, but by setting them correctly, the extension is back to working!

As of early December 2023, this works at circumnaviating YouTube's ad block detection when disabling other ad blocking extensions on Safari.

EnhancementsForYouTube does exactly what it says it does not see annoying videos ads specially those that you can’t skip.
Really proud of EnhancementsForYouTube but mostly with the developers have done. A great job now I can enjoy listening to music without having to turn down my music for one of the annoying ads

I originally wrote a review saying that dislikes stopped showing. Devs responded quickly and fixed the issue.

I couldn't be happier with EnhancementsForYouTube. Highly recommend.

When exiting EnhancementsForYouTube and entering it needs to go Back to the Home Screen because it goes back to where you were before. Just a friendly dug through 🫶
