this app’s only functional version is the paid version. I bought it. Yet iTranscribe never recognizes the purchase I made. It makes you have to purchase it again.. and again.. and again. Complete scam!

I wish you were more transparent from the get-go in iTranscribe Store about how much subscriptions cost. It would not be a deal-breaker for most people and would not prevent people from doing the three day trial.

Ultimately the real issue is that you have no way of restoring a purchase or recognizing a paid-for subscription. This is classic BAIT-AND-SWITCH.

Won’t work! subscribed for pro version. I followed directions shared in iTranscribe - picked an audio file, clicked the three dots, clicked on transcribe by this app, picked English, it says uploading, and then nothing. I do it over and over again… nothing, just audio. No transcription. I then tried to send the file to my email, play from my computer and do live transcription to see if that would work… it recorded the conversation but didn’t transcribe… Please help! Im paying for the service but can’t use it and need it asap!! I sent an email to customer service… waiting

I just downloaded iTranscribe, signed up for the 3-day free trial and then somehow my iPhone Face ID didn’t recognize me. This happens to me a lot, don’t know about anyone else, but am curious especially in this case.
While I was getting up to get my iPhone Password to enter, somehow the message pops up and says something like “Congratulations. You have just signed up for the PRO version.” So now I’m wondering if I got myself into a jam and downloaded a scam app. So I got to the reviews and the first one I see was dated August 12th and read like this: THIS IS GOOD BUT IT’S NOT FREE, or something close to that.
Can anyone from iTranscribe’s dev team or accounting dept please explain this to me? Happy to try it for 3 days, but I was instantly unhappy to see how this all went and then that review. Thank you. Last detail on ratings.
I gave this only 1 star because I have not tried it yet and can’t rate something I haven’t used. When I went to submit my review it said I had to rate it. Found that to be a red flag, but okay, I’ll give it 1. If I find I love iTranscribe as I will edit this review or post a new one.

This is my second time of trying to use iTranscribe to transcribe my iphone voice memos. It works ok for a while then, just like last time I used iTranscribe , it stops working properly. Previously I deleted iTranscribe because it kept giving me notices that I had exceeded my allocation of time for the month & would not process my file, even though I hadn’t used iTranscribe in 45 days. Now it’s giving me an error that my audio format is not compatible. It’s the SAME audio app that I’ve always used.
this app is awesome when it works. But I will no longer pay for them to fix the bugs at
the expense of my $ & productivity.

At first, I followed the instructions and uploaded a voice memo so that it could transcribe it. It was a one hour and 20 minute memo. After 3 1/2 hours of the upload continuing to circle between 51% and 76% and then back down to the 50s, it closed itself out altogether, and I lost it. I gave up and canceled the subscription. As the last stitch effort, I then tried downloading the voice memo as a document and then transcribing it, and that did the trick in about 10 minutes. Wish I had known that the first 3 1/2 hours of time that I wasted. Great app, as long as you know the trick.

I do like iTranscribe . I think it does better than the Ottor app I’ve tried. However, I have to go in and enter missing words or correct words/spelling. For shorter recordings, it’s not that bad, but for recordings longer than 30mins it’s a bit time-consuming. Sometimes I have to go in and update a lot of the conversation because iTranscribe suggests weird words/phrases, I’ve even turned up the volume so iTranscribe could catch more words.

Again, it's a good app, but expect to have to go in and make a lot of changes.

I really liked that you can easily convert videos into transcriptions with time stamps. I like that you can also turn the transcriptions into word files. I wish they had a lifetime purchase option. I’m still looking for an app that transcribes and gives captions without having to leave whatever you’re watching. If iTranscribe did that, I would definitely buy it.

This has become the most important app I’ve ever downloaded. I spend a lot of time on the move, either at work or running errands that can take up my entire day. Before this app, it was impossible to record my thoughts in a meaningful way. All I could manage were simple “to-do” notes. Now, I can write full journals, outline and draft novels, and I’m even experimenting with writing pseudocode! I’ve gotten my time back thanks to this app. The only thing I would hope they add is a feature to quickly retry a recorded transcription. I often lose connection during my live transcriptions, and I’m not sure it catches up every time, like if I pause. In any case, this app has been a lifesaver for me. Big thanks to the devs!

I read a few reviews saying that the free trial wasn’t a free trial, it actually was. I was able to transcribe a 2.5 hr audio recording i uploaded in less than 15 minutes. It wasn’t 100% accurate, but it gave me the frame work to make edits on my own with minimal effort. It’s 100% worth trying. I paid nothing for these features.

Love this tool. It has helped me be more efficient at work. I love data and sometimes get lost in it. This tool helps me collect information and keep it organized. I appreciate the team who’s working diligently to improve the functionality of iTranscribe to continue serving us and help us grow learn and become better at what we do

iTranscribe is really good because you could just jot down details of things you’re doing history whatever and it is saved and then you can transfer it from your phone to the printer so you can have it printed. From there you can edit, make changes and have your thoughts saved for a another time. It is awesome to work with.

Classes use a lot of video and I can’t write notes that fast-don’t want to pause to write what the captions say. I have ADHD and stopping video and restarting mucks with my brain processes. The accurate transcriptions from iTranscribe allow me to watch videos all the way through then go back and correlate written text to the video concepts. Highly recommended!

this is not a paid review. I’m just a random girl who decided to download it on a random night because I wanted to use it for work and it’s actually legit and accurate. It’s not glitchy or half good half bad. I just did two videos and it was able to transcribe both videos that were more than 10 minutes long, Precisely.

iTranscribe is great. I like the fact that I can transcribe audios to read. I’m listening to a series but also able to read it. It’s mostly accurate. There are words here and there it can’t pick up on if the speaker isn’t clear in his verbiage. Overall AWESOME! I like that I can save it as a pdf and if needed I can edit. I can listen and read it right in iTranscribe itself. So yep. Love iTranscribe . Thank you to the developers!

Oh my goodness, I did not know what to expect, but whatever I was anticipating, iTranscribe was amazing beyond expectations . Not only did it very precisely transcribe a telephone interview, but it also breaks up the interview by paragraph with timestamps. iTranscribe is legit, and a game changer in terms of the ability to work with recordings, and turn them into detailed and accurate transcriptions. I’m sorry for the people who work in the transcription industry, but iTranscribe could put all of those people out of work.

iTranscribe installed within my memo, application on iPhone. So when I desired to export my memo to text the option was available within my existing memo application on my iPhone. All I had to do was export my memo to wherever I wanted whether it was audio or text. I definitely like it because it allowed me to take my memo recordings in my iPhone and export it to my notes in iPhone this was awesome!!! 1 con (negative)that I have is that it’s very pricey as compared to other transcription apps at $100 per year.

I don’t normally write reviews, but had to for this one. I mainly use this transcription app for work to transcribe meetings as I am Neurodivergent and have a hard time, listening and writing at the same time. iTranscribe does a phenomenal job at transcribing what is being said and can pick up words correctly even for those with a heavy accent that to my ear would have missed. I am forever grateful to have found iTranscribe. If you are like me and need meeting or lecture notes. Stop looking because you just found it.

I just subscribed to this by pressing GET. It seemed that it transcribed beautifully. When I try to export it, it went to place that said that I had to pay. I didn't go any further. Does this mean that I'm paying for this? I thought if you just pressed GET it was free. Can you explain the logistics to me on this? By pressing GET, Is this something that I'm gonna have to end up paying for? Please explain this to me. It does transcribe beautifully, but I can't afford to pay for anything now. Should I unsubscribe? Thank you. Please respond.

iTranscribe can make your life easier when it comes to turning audio into text. I was weary of how my text would turn out in audio format due to background noises (people talking in the distant with random noises due to many people in one room) I was planning on an hour for edits. To my surprise iTranscribe was spot on and exceeded my expectations! There were very few corrections to be made on my part. Also, noticed a lot more features on iTranscribe just have not had the opportunity to check them out. I think you should check iTranscribe out at the very least 👍🏼

I got iTranscribe so I was able to translate from video to text and I was happy to know it did exactly what it’s supposed to do with no issues very easy. I was done with in less than two minutes. I’m on the trial right now, but I’m purchasing iTranscribe . Well done developer.
