More questions than answers

For example, today’s article on flushing the city’s temporary water pipes by letting water run into the street while permanent mains are being replaced was careful to mention that residents do not pay for water unless it passes through their meters and into their homes. Then a few paragraphs later the article quoted a Hopkins professor (who advised Reagan on water matters - so what) that the taxpayers will ultimately pay for the water being flushed. No explanation followed as to why or how this would happen. Sloppy.

Awful technology

Twice I have signed up and paid for a subscript I.

And still cannot access the site.

Incompetent App Designers

Deleted app after several illogical requests for me to change my password. Study other apps before you release a flawed one.

Thx

Font is very hard to read

This review is strictly about TheBaltimoreBanner , not the news content. TheBaltimoreBanner works fine and I would really like to give it a higher rating, but the font used is very difficult and unpleasant to read with its exceedingly thin lines. Increasing the font size isn’t the solution; though that helps a bit. Please re-think this font and choose one that is optimal (or at least much better) for screens and more accessible to a wider range of the reading public.

Great content, glitchy app

My stars have nothing to do with the content - love the Banner - this is about TheBaltimoreBanner .

First, and most annoyingly, if I am scrolling through an article, if I so much as touch the screen, the entire top banner (with the “back button”) appears and jarringly shifts the text down. It’s too sensitive and happens all the time while I’m reading.

Second, for paid subscribers, there are far too many ads in an article (often the same ad repeated multiple times).

Third, TheBaltimoreBanner has forgotten that I’m a subscriber multiple times.

If you can fix these issues, especially the first one, it will go a long way towards making this the 5 star experience the Banner deserves.

App

You need to update your articles tired of no new updates

The Banner

Am enjoying the news & personal nature of the Banner. Have enjoyed knowing that Rick Hutzell is back running a segment of our local news. To keep me/us as a customer it is important that Rick respect the many conservatives who reside in AA County and stop pushing the Biden destructive Democratic ‘Club’ agenda as he has in the past.

First experience with App

It did not accept my password the first time but easy to reset. And I asked for no Sports, but that was the first news up.

Real news written by real writers

Bravo. Glad to pay for a subscription to The Banner.

Glad I Subscribed

The Banner is just the news service Baltimore needs!

Please fix

I called Monday and explained my issue. Can not login. Ip15pro ios 17.3. No problem on PC just phone. Still can login just on the phone. Subscribed from day one. Was this taken seriously! Love the banner!

Refreshing and vital

If you care about Baltimore and Maryland, subscribe and support The Banner. We need this.

Thanks Goodness for Local Reporting

We have been Banner readers since the beginning and read something from it every day! Thank You and please keep it local!

Butterfly Effect

A great analytical article that brought together the political economic & social consequences of the complex connections that the butterfly effect of Key Bridge collapse could generate

First Class, World Class Journalism

To see the quality of writing, editing, interviewing, investigation, data, unbias, fact & storytelling journalism of the Baltimore Banner, a news organization just recently discovered and recommended by a coworker…makes my heart keep beating for my city! Thank you for all that your hard working reporters do.

Serious investigative journalism

I think that says it all-except that Baltimore is so fortunate to have this high quality news source.

Good journalism. Period.

I’m now a former Baltimore Sun subscriber who had heard about the breaking news the Banner was making in collaboration with WYPR. Now, with the sad purchase of the Sun to an owner who apparently doesn’t read newspapers, among other things, I’m a Banner subscriber who looks forward to getting to know my community better. Long live local news reporting!

Great local journalism for Baltimoreans and Marylanders

The Banner has introduced something that many folks had wanted to see for years: A solid local “paper” (ok so not literally) that wasn’t the Sun. We now have it in the Banner, and especially in the wake of the Key Bridge collision and collapse, I’m happy to support them.

Great digital reporting

This is journalism as the event should be told, whether it’s news, food, politics, sports, business, etc

A fresh look and in-depth reporting.

Much better app experience

Really enjoy reading The Banner. Clever writing with an insightful approach. “Print” may be a thing of the past, its nice to see that News and reporting is not.

I’ve been a longtime Sun reader, but their on line experience is wonky at best -especially on my mobile devices. So many ads in weird places, it’s hard to even just scroll through. I subscribe to both (for now. I may cancel The Sun)

So much better than the Sun

Excellent work, and far more politically worth supporting!

New to Baltimore

Loved reading the Free Baltimore Banner articles so much I decided that I wanted to read more than the 3 articles so I bought the subscription for 6 months and have not been disappointed! I especially like the information about what’s going on around town socially! Great news source.

Honest Reporting

Banner covers local businesses and social issues better than and other media in its area!
Keeps track of local government!

Great news presentation

Love the Baltimore Banner! Updated news about our city and state every day. I was hooked when your writer talked about watching Succession. A true fan of a great show. Tell us more why you watch it.

Excellent app- great reporting

Very thoughtful writing that covers some of the most important stories in Maryland. Highly recommend!

Back.

The classic Baltimore newspaper is back. True, factual, and interesting and independent. The reporting and writing is as good as it gets. Everyone who lives in and loves Maryland should get this paper. Thank you!

Keep digging!

I just want to say I subscribed because I am impressed by the work your team is doing to report on John Angelos. Hold the power brokers accountable to their actions through journalism!

The Banner and WYPR

Love the interaction between WYPR and the Banner!
